I really enjoyed trying TAP and their Brazilian-inspired menu. I honestly don't know of many places around Miami offering this type of Brazilian food, so it was fun to try something a little different. One of our favorites was the tapioca sandwich with eggs. The tapioca is almost like a thin, white flatbread, but it's actually made from cassava starch, and I really liked the texture. We also tried the açaí, which was very good, and I loved seeing Brazilian sodas and drinks on the menu. There are so many options that I already feel like we need another visit to try more. The service was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is casual and interesting. My only comment about the ambiance is that I wish the air conditioning had been a little stronger because it felt warm inside during our visit. Other than that, we had a really nice experience. This place was sadly a miss for me. I typically love Pao De Queijo and was so excited to try this place because they offer it in several flavors, but it just fell so short unfortunately. The location is great, in walking distance of all things Brickell, and along a strip of other good restaurants. The patios is breezy and offers view of typical Brickell scene. Inside its counter service with around 10-15 small tables. We planned to order some food, Brazilian bread, and one of their detox drinks. However, they said they were out of the other dish (I can't remember what it was), all of the drinks except the canned soda in their cooler, and that the bread would take 15-20 minutes. We had already walked there and committed to getting the bread, so we ordered some of each flavor to try them all. ALL of them were super overwhelmingly cheesy and Parmesan flavored. The pesto was better than the plain and the spicy was better than both, but I wouldn't recommend any of them. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the menu does look good and my husband enjoyed the breads more than me. read more

I had the lean steak club in the egg wrap, pesto pao de queijo, & matcha boost (yes I eat a lot haha). Everything was absolutely delicious, especially the egg wrap. The reviews are a bit misleading unless we ordered incorrectly... The service was very nice. waitress was kind and helpful. She warned that the sandwiches on the pao de quejo bread were very small (which they were) so if you're starving go with the wrap instead. I had the shredded chicken one with melted cheese but it was cold on the inside. My friend had the tap salad which basically was just arugula quinoa and cheese, which is totally fine she knew what she was getting, but $16 is a lot for that in my opinion. First time we went the tapioca was great and I loved the Açaí. Recently I went again and the tapioca wasn't my favorite, but more notably the coffee was so bad! Still giving a 4 star because I love having a Brazilian place that makes tapioca. even if the one I make is better, it's so nice to be able to have one out! Tap 5 stars! Easiest review ever. Okay but in Al seriousness good Brazilian food is always a good thing to have close by. Tap is exactly what Miami and Brickell were missing. The tapioca sandwiches are simply indescribable if you've never had one before. It's like soft but crunchy and toasted deliciously to create a palette sensation unseen in other cuisines. I ordered the vegetarian avocado and egg sandwich on my most recent visit and it was divine. Honestly I over ordered because I also added a couple pao de queijo as well as a coconut to drink out of. But I have absolutely no regrets at all. Everything was delicious. I figured that the reason the restaurant is called Tap is because you have to tap a straw in to the coconut to drink out of it! So genius! The staff was also super kind and let me know that after I was done with drinking the milk I could bring the coconut back to the counter and they would happily cut it open so I could eat the meat inside. I went to tap because I was really intrigued by their pao de queijos and more specifically their pao de queijos paninis! I ordered the chicken club. I would say for the price, it is on the smaller side, so if you are really hungry, it would be good to order something along with it. I thought the texture of the pao de queijos was great, crispy outside and soft, fluffy interior. But for me, the filling was a bit on the saltier side personally, so it didn't feel as balanced, although the bread itself was delicious. I also ordered the salad, which I thought was actually pretty balanced in flavors and I thought it had a good amount of the toppings (I.e. sweet potatoes, cashews, feta) . Service was also quick and the staff were friendly. I also thought it was cute that you get a coconut as your table number. They also have some infused waters that you can help yourself to. I think if I were to come again, I would try more of their regular pao de queijos or try a different panini.
