Those bolinhos are to die for, and it is the best appetizer if you want a little variety and a good taste of what they offer. The cheese and beef pasteis were also delicious. The owner/manager was sitting casually at the bar next to me, acting like a drill sergeant. I ordered a limonada suíça and they didn't even have condensed milk or enough lime. Still, it cost about $9. Way overpriced. The pão de queijo wasn't fresh either -- it came out in just one minute, clearly not baked to order. Very disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it at all. Another spot near me that has taken over 4 years for me to finally try. I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for some drinks and light bites. The only parking was $7 valet. It was super lively inside. Loud music was playing. Soccer was on the tv. There was an interesting mix of single guys there just hanging out and families there for the feijoada buffet. We sat at the bar. The bartender working was very friendly and attentive. The drinks and food were very good. If you're looking for a light snack, I recommend the meat skewers and garlic French fries. Such a fun place! We were looking for food at 11pm on a Saturday night and found this place which delivered on food and music! While we didnt understand the music (all in Portuguese) we still had a ton of fun watching the singer bounce around the bar dancing with the crowd. The coxinhas were a lot smaller than I am used to, but they were very tasty. Apparently the oven for the pão de queijo was not working that day so I unfortunately did not get to try this :( and went with the bolinhas de bacalao instead. It was pretty fishy and wont be my first choice next time. The chicken skewers were so flavorful and juicy with the onion and green peppers complimenting the chicken. The rest of the table's entrees were very seasoned, sometimes being a bit too salty. I would be willing to go back to try more of the menu. We had shredded beef and codfish croquttes as appertizers...both YUMMY! I wish I was more daring and try the typical Brazilian food (next time). We went early on a Saturday evening and could tell it was going to get really busy and LOUD, as a band was setting up a few feet from us. Really well seasoned and has a lot of flavor. I like that it comes on a sizzling skillet. It comes with your option of two sides. 5/5 ($24.95) Beef Stroganoff - Sautéed beef served in a sauce, has mushrooms and a few olives. I had tried some of my friend's the first time and it tasted great. Unfortunately on my second visit it was dried out and tasted nowhere near as good. First time 5/5 second time 1/5 ($14.95) For sides, the feijao tropeiro (Traditional beans with yucca flour, fried sausage and eggs) is delicious. Their fries are also really good and I think I tried their fried mashed potatoes before which were also great. This last time I came a few things went wrong. My entree came out pretty late and it was scorching hot, it was probably forgotten under the heating lamp. My friend's entree didn't come out either, the server forgot to put the order in. I think those are two big annoyances that would warrant the staff to alert the manager to swing by the table and check in. Perhaps offer a discount or dessert on the house, but nothing. We just sat there and waited for the second entree and I ate my dried out stroganoff. If it weren't for this experience, I'd have rated them between a 4 and 5. I think this place has a lot of potential but customer service is extremely important. If something goes wrong, I believe it should always be made right. If you're in the area and are considering coming here you should do it, they're worth the try. I don't live close to here so coming back would require me going out of my way. Small menu, but everything they make is very well done. Also, they offer the traditional "Feijoada" on saturdays. This is what I had on my last visit, and it was excellent. The name of this meal comes from the name for "beans" in Portuguese... feijão. It is a feast for the senses, if you eat red meat. The beans are the black type and are cooked with lots of different spices which makes them super tasty. The buffet is served in clay pots and it includes sausages, ribs, dry meat, pork loin, white rice, plantains, fried pork, black bean soup. In addition to the meats and beans, the buffet includes ingredients to make your own salad. Their regular menu includes different types of meats, but also has some fish options like Mahi Mahi. It is a casual place with great service and fun atmosphere. I had high hopes for this place but I must say that our entire party was quite let down with the food and the service. Pros: The bolinhos de bacalau were very tasty and the mayonnaise that they included with this appetizer were great. The pitcher of caipirinha we ordered was GREAT too, they were not stingy with the alcohol. Cons: The service was terrible, we ordered our entrees and they bought out one of the entrees and the remaining three entrees arrived almost 20 minutes later. I understand if the restaurant is rocking and rolling but it was pretty empty. The food was disappointing and quite expensive considering the poor quality. I ordered a picanha burger cooked medium but it came out very well done. My wife ordered the palomilla and it tasted quite bland. This is supposed to be a Brazilian establishment yet none of the workers were Brazilian from what we could tell. Not that this matters but we felt it was quite unusual. They use valet parking - I do not have an issue with valet parking but the place was literally empty except for a few folks sitting at the bar. Not sure why they charge $7.00 for the valet parking when both the restaurant and the parking lot were empty. This will be my first and last time visiting this place. There are a lot of other options out there offering better service, reasonable prices, and way better attention to servicing and taking care of the clients.
