My son said the picanha burger was the best burger he has ever had. The salgados platter is a must. Those bolinhos are to die for, and it is the best appetizer if you want a little variety and a good taste of what they offer. The cheese and beef pasteis were also delicious. Came to Boteco to watch the Brazil vs. Japan FIFA match. First, the positives: the service staff was friendly, attentive, and did their best. The food was good, and while it took a little longer than usual to arrive, that's understandable considering how busy the restaurant was during the game. Unfortunately, management dropped the ball in several areas. For a major soccer match, basic preparation should have been a priority. The outdoor area was extremely hot, despite having fans installed. The problem? Many of the fans weren't working because there weren't enough electrical outlets available. This should have been tested and resolved before customers arrived. To make matters worse, the restaurant was using some of the cheapest plastic forks and knives imaginable. If you're charging restaurant prices, at least provide utensils that can actually handle the food. A quick trip to Dollar Tree would have solved that problem. The staff worked hard and the food was enjoyable, but management failed to properly prepare for a high-attendance event. That's disappointing because the issues were entirely preventable. Boteco has great potential, but management needs to do a much better job planning and executing on game days. read more

Still, it cost about $9. Way overpriced. The pão de queijo wasn't fresh either -- it came out in just one minute, clearly not baked to order. Very disappointing. I wouldn't recommend it at all. Loud music was playing. Soccer was on the tv. There was an interesting mix of single guys there just hanging out and families there for the feijoada buffet. We sat at the bar. The bartender working was very friendly and attentive. The drinks and food were very good. If you're looking for a light snack, I recommend the meat skewers and garlic French fries. Such a fun place! We were looking for food at 11pm on a Saturday night and found this place which delivered on food and music! While we didnt understand the music (all in Portuguese) we still had a ton of fun watching the singer bounce around the bar dancing with the crowd. The coxinhas were a lot smaller than I am used to, but they were very tasty. Apparently the oven for the pão de queijo was not working that day so I unfortunately did not get to try this :( and went with the bolinhas de bacalao instead. It was pretty fishy and wont be my first choice next time. The chicken skewers were so flavorful and juicy with the onion and green peppers complimenting the chicken. The rest of the table's entrees were very seasoned, sometimes being a bit too salty. I would be willing to go back to try more of the menu. This is a nice Brazilian spot. There's only valet parking available but they accept both cash and credit cards. Once you're in you can seat yourself. I prefer their outdoor seating. The staff is friendly and the food is good. They've had a live DJ both times I've come in. They also have a pool table. It's a very nice atmosphere. Here's what I've ordered: Pbolindho do boteco (Yuca and cheese croquette) - Comes with three. Good and cheesy but small. 3/5 ($4.95) Bolinho de bacalhau (Fried codfish croquette) - Comes with three. Also good but even smaller. Would most likely not order these again. 3/5 ($4.95) Picanha fatiada na chapa (13 oz grilled sirloin steak) - This was GOOD! Nice size and quality. Really well seasoned and has a lot of flavor. I like that it comes on a sizzling skillet. It comes with your option of two sides. 5/5 ($24.95) Beef Stroganoff - Sautéed beef served in a sauce, has mushrooms and a few olives. I had tried some of my friend's the first time and it tasted great. Unfortunately on my second visit it was dried out and tasted nowhere near as good. First time 5/5 second time 1/5 ($14.95) For sides, the feijao tropeiro (Traditional beans with yucca flour, fried sausage and eggs) is delicious. Their fries are also really good and I think I tried their fried mashed potatoes before which were also great. This last time I came a few things went wrong. My entree came out pretty late and it was scorching hot, it was probably forgotten under the heating lamp. My friend's entree didn't come out either, the server forgot to put the order in. I think those are two big annoyances that would warrant the staff to alert the manager to swing by the table and check in. Perhaps offer a discount or dessert on the house, but nothing. We just sat there and waited for the second entree and I ate my dried out stroganoff. If it weren't for this experience, I'd have rated them between a 4 and 5. I think this place has a lot of potential but customer service is extremely important. If something goes wrong, I believe it should always be made right. If you're in the area and are considering coming here you should do it, they're worth the try. I don't live close to here so coming back would require me going out of my way. We had shredded beef and codfish croquttes as appertizers...both YUMMY! I wish I was more daring and try the typical Brazilian food (next time). We went early on a Saturday evening and could tell it was going to get really busy and LOUD, as a band was setting up a few feet from us. Service was good, but servers tended to stand around talking to each other a lot, I hate when I have to call servers over. This is a very nice Brazilian spot. Casual atmosphere with indoor and patio seating. Full bar service that includes the famous Brazilian Caipirinha. Small menu, but everything they make is very well done. Also, they offer the traditional "Feijoada" on saturdays. This is what I had on my last visit, and it was excellent. The name of this meal comes from the name for "beans" in Portuguese... feijão. It is a feast for the senses, if you eat red meat. The beans are the black type and are cooked with lots of different spices which makes them super tasty. The buffet is served in clay pots and it includes sausages, ribs, dry meat, pork loin, white rice, plantains, fried pork, black bean soup. In addition to the meats and beans, the buffet includes ingredients to make your own salad. Their regular menu includes different types of meats, but also has some fish options like Mahi Mahi. It is a casual place with great service and fun atmosphere. We walked in and this waitress chewing gum with her mouth open , never in my life that I have been served by someone chewing gum. Vergonha! Not surprised to see the low rating and all the complaints here. As a Brazilian, I'm embarrassed to have this represent us in Miami - a greedy, low-rent spot. I took a group to watch a Brazil match in the Copa America and got attitude and rudeness from the get go; they simply couldn't handle the amount of reservations they took up. Then we saw the rudeness came straight from the top: with 15 minutes left in the game, we got kicked out of our table by the manager herself, who was desperate to extract more money from other people when she realized nobody told us there was a minimum consumption (we spent plenty anyway), since it was booked through opentable.
