Came in for a solo lunch at Sweetgreen since I'm trying to eat healthier. The space felt super welcoming and the staff was very kind, which I really appreciated. Came here for there new Autumn Harvest Bowl and boy did it taste like fall in a bowl, the diced apples and roasted sweet potatoes that added sweetness to it which I enjoyed - the place wasn't too busy a lot of open seating available and service was fast. This is the second time I try sweet greens. We order the crispy rice bowl and the harvest bowl. I used the app to order, very easy and they even send you updates with its ready -which is pretty neat. The restaurant itself is big and has lots seating outside. Overall it was okay, tho I love the they use fresh ingredients and no seed oils it was just lacking flavor. Also I noticed they are extremely generous with the greens ( kale,arugula) and lacking on the protein. It just makes for one huge salad without the much chicken or steak. Let me start off by saying dont GPS too this place with Apple Maps because it will make you go around in circles until your lunch break is over. With that being said, when you arrive, watch your step! I tripped on their raised door frame that goes along the whole entrance. (Yes they have a sign but as an architect, I doubt this is ADA compliant.) Speaking of accessibility, how do you access the interior? there are tables with chairs all along the opening of the restaurant's entrance. You have to push chairs and excuse yourself to try to fit.... I didn't interact with staff very long as i ordered online and picked it up as soon as i got there. The salad was good, i built my own. It was quite expensive (plus parking which is inevitable) you end up paying like 20 bucks for a salad. They put a lot of spinach as filler, which was my base. The amount of dressing was small for the amount of salad. I do have to mention that the ingredients were fresh. Both had very fresh ingredients and tasted amazing. You have the option to get a side of bread as well which I did. The bread was simple but good and gives you the option for more carbs. The employees were SO nice and patient -- especially the woman who served me at the register. This was not my first time visiting Sweetgreen, but it was my first time @ the Miami location. It was also my first time trying the shrimp citrus avocado salad. I do believe they have great salads, but this didn't taste like one of them. The shrimp didn't have much flavor and was pretty dry. I think I would've opted for more dressing (I asked for medium dressing -- so next time, maybe order heavy dressing?) I loved the quantity and portion of the salad. I think it perfectly hit the spot for my craving. I can understand why someone would be opposed to spending over $10 on a salad, but the ingredients and flavor (speaking from my first experience in LA) make the price worth it. It is very similar and probably the direct competitor to Carrot Express, however, Sweetgreen offers you larger servings at lower prices while giving you the actual calorie count so you know what you're eating. My personal favorite is the crispy rice bowl. I replace the warm rice with shredded kale but any way is great. The cashew dressing is amazing and adds a little heat. Great lunch spot in Coral Gables when you're looking to eat a little bit healthier. The location is a good size with both indoor and outdoor seating. There is a convertible space in the front that can be enclosed if it gets too hot out. It is located on Giralda Avenue which was closed off to allow for restaurants to have space outside making it great for days with great weather. My friend recommended I get the harvest bowl and it was delicious. It has a nice combination of flavors and has some grains mixed into the kale. They've been expanding to more geographic regions since and I'm super excited that they will be opening a total of four(!!) locations in Miami! We've ordered via Uber Eats a couple of times and visited in store once. Both ways have no complaints. I particularly appreciate, given the pandemic situation, their system at the location. They have little indicators on the table that flips to show if it had been sanitized since the last guest and no indoor seating is available at the moment - overall very COVID safe. The food itself, I find delicious - and so does my picky "not a fan of salads" fiancé. He usually goes for one of the warm bowls, hot honey chicken being his favorite. And I've tried a couple of the salads now; you can't go wrong with the beloved kale caeser, but the Buffalo chicken salad is delicioussssssss at less than 500 calories and packed with flavors. I find it fairly priced for the quality and portion size, nothing is over $15. Located in the busy giralda and the ingredients are usually locally sourced.
