The meat was a little inconsistent throughout so that was a bit of a buzz (hence the minus 1 point) and they packed it with meat. The baklava we found to be too sweet and the salad was good. This is a great addition to the Gables that actually meets the hype! We stopped in on a Friday around 8:30. All the inside tables were full but by the time we decided what to get and got the food, a few spots opened up. We were informed they were out of chicken and pork, but still had plenty of lamb. We opted for a lamb gyro and loaded fries with lamb. The gyro comes with fries in it. It's a huge portion size, big enough to share or have some as leftovers. Same with the fries- they are truly loaded! There is a good proportion of fries to meat to toppings. The fries are crispy and good on their own. We also liked the honey mustard dipping sauce. Pretty good value for the price considering the portion sizes. The lamb seemed fresh and not too greasy or dry. It's very clean and the the service was great. Wow this was the absolutely best gyro had and their Greek garlic aïoli sauce hit the spot!!! wow I was completely amazed at all of that was only $14 and I feel so full from it and it was all so so so good and I figured out how to eat the Gyro and get the fries in the meat all at the same time! The place is in a very convenient location to where I live, and the service people absolutely amazing. He provided me ketchup and garlic, aïoli on the side for no extra cost. Wow just wow! When I heard about My Cousin Nick I ran not walked to try it and was not the least bit disappointed. Your girl loves a good gyro or Greek salad with gyro meat. Is it expensive yes, is it worth it yes! The gyro is bigger than my head, my boyfriend had it and he said was really god but it is pretty hard to eat. Once you have it in your hands you have to commit to not put it down. I had the Greek salad and added lamb. It was also huge! I had enough for two meals, and next time will ask for the meat on the side just to make it a little easier to mix all together. You walk in, menu is on the wall place your order along the line and pay at the end of the counter. Staff were very friendly, and service was fast and efficient. It's small I can see it getting a bit cramped and busy during the lunch rush. It's been around for a couple of months and I hope it's around for many years to come. I will say the nice thing about this place is that the owners and employees are authentically Greek. The gyro was great just really greasy. The bowls are a lot and full of sauces. Its pricey, but for the amount of food u get, it's worth it. My favorite thing was the bottled lemonade which is from Greece. Delicious lamb Gyro ! I was so happy when I discovered the Gyro place in Coral Gables - and My Cousin Nick did not disappoint! Very large portion of meat in the pita. Come hungry - you won't need to eat until dinner after one of these big sandwiches! Very reasonably priced; I got the Gyro sandwich for $13. I wanted to try the hummus so they had a side of that. I think it was $2 dollars and an extra pita for $1 dollar. Very reasonable prices for Coral Gables. The wrap had french fries that were super tasty. Next time, though, I think I will switch it out for lettuce to give it a little crunch. The tzatziki was delicious! Very friendly staff and quick service. There's a lot of hype going on right now for this place, it was even written up in the Coral Gables magazine for Beaux Arts festival, but it turned out to be nothing out of the ordinary in my opinion. The employees are very friendly and nice, but simply put it wasn't all that. There are a few other restaurants around serving this fare that I prefer. We ordered the lamb Gyro and it comes stuffed with thin french fries. Overall, the taste was pleasant, but the meat was dry and it was salty.
