We loved the charcuterie board. However the chicken on both my dish (chicken Caesar salad and a noodle dish) were the same and it didn't go with our food. It was a powerful rosemary ( we think) taste. It threw it off all the taste of our dishes. Also the service was not that good even though the restaurant wasn't busy at all. read more

The meatloaf with vegetable medley at this place is absolutely astounding. Meatloaf? Best Meatloaf I've ever had. Vegetable medley? Best Vegetable medley I've ever had. The entire meal? Top 10 meals I've ever had. The meatloaf doesn't use traditional tomato based meatloaf sauce, they use almost like a salisbury sauce. I think the vegetables are just marinated in soy sauce? But I think there's more going on there than just soy sauce. Delicious and I would love to have whatever recipe they are using. I've been to 35 cities this year including NYC and did not expect Amarillo, TX to be the (second) best meal I've had this year. Cursh is a Texas hidden gem. read more

This is a great hidden gem in Downtown Amarillo. My wife and I walked there from our hotel -Embassy Suites- just a couple of blocks away. The bar tender at the hotel recommended the place and said that they had great food and drinks, so we decided to take a walk and go and check it out. We were very pleased that we did. We walked in and were greeted immediately. We were told that there was a rooftop bar and so we asked if we could be seated upstairs. The hostess directed us to the elevator and we took it up to a beautiful indoor/outdoor area where there were plenty of seating areas, both outdoor type furniture and indoor seating that included high top tables and chairs. The waitress came over and to greet us and almost immediately had a refreshing drink in front of us. We ordered the Wagyu Burger with New Mexico Green Chili and it was cooked to perfection. The French fries were as if they were home made and were very delicious! If you're ever visiting the area, we most definitely recommend this awesome little place. read more

The chicken was bland and barely cooked? The quinoa was flat and watery. The veggies were bland, not cooked well, and unexciting. I had to ask for every kind of hot sauce they had in order to make this bowl edible. I'm really not sure what went wrong here and the reviews steered me to Crush but I left leaving half my food there (which I never do). Healthy food does NOT mean bland and tasteless.. stay away from the bowls here. I can't speak for the rest. read more

Very disappointing experience after hearing great things about this place. Came with my wife and ordered the mussels as an appetizer. The white wine sauce had some good flavor and it was probably the highlight of the meal. Ordered the Buffalo cauliflower bowl, ribeye, and side of Brussels sprouts. The Buffalo cauliflower was extremely bland and came with rice that tasted extremely dry like it had been sitting out for hours. The breading on the cauliflower had some flavor, but soggy on the breading. The steak had about 30% of it come in inedible fat chunks and very tendony. I saw it as soon as it came out and was surprised the chef even let it leave the kitchen. The Brussels sprouts were flavorless and soggy as well. We did ask for some sauces from the kitchen which helped a little, but still a disappointing meal. Aside from the food, Crush has an incredible ambiance, but it still wasn't enough for us to return for a $100 meal between the two of us. The restaurant and live music was the only thing that moved this up to 2 stars rather than 1. read more

It looked great on Yelp and coming up to the entrance, it looked great. The decor is really modern chic and clean. Random, but the restrooms were super cool! We had a really fun server, but I guess they had changed the menu on him so it made for some snafus during our visit. My sister didn't like the first drink she ordered which was she Soxxy Mamma. It honestly tastes a bit like kids' medicine. I had the Alpine Bliss which was very different in an herbal flavor kind of way, but I liked it. She then got the Blueberry Chilton Lemonade which she enjoyed. We then ordered their truffle fries as a started - because I must when it's on the menu. These rival the best truffle fries I've ever had. We couldn't put our forks down and we cleaned the plate! So here's where things wen't off kilter. I ordered the salmon which was supposed to come on a bed of risotto per the server. When he brought it out, it was in some kind of broth (insert side eye here). So I asked what that was and where my meal was. He realized the error and was going to take it back. I said no, took the salmon fillet out and sent him back with the broth - which was bland. The salmon? Overcooked. The other thing we ordered was the portobello wellington. In theory it sounded amazing. When it got to us... (face palm) it did not look appetizing in the least. The plating was absolutely HORRIBLE. Creamy green sauce over a supposedly crisp puff pastry making it soggy, but there was no rhyme or reason to the sauce. The risotto was so stiff and congealed, it might as well have been rice pudding. I'd go to Crush again for drinks and appetizers, but not for entrees. They were both very disappointing. read more

Not sure how this isn't one of two or three best restaurants in Amarillo. I think it would get high ratings in Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Dallas. Ate dinner on the patio while in town on business. Picked the place because it was fairly close to the Embassy Suites, so I walked 10 minutes to get there. And, 150 yards or less from the Marriott, downtown, where I was joined by a colleague/business traveler. Extremely friendly server, Jen, also made good recommendations. Jim, a server, seemed like a nice fellow based on a fairly brief conversation. Person that showed to the table also nice. Arugula salad is a winner! Pork chops and mushrooms were delicious. Regular water refills. Good coffee. Fellow I was with had shrimp scampi with crab, might have been the special off menu item, looked and smelled great. He said it was delicious. He had some sort of cocktail that looked interesting to start. And, his tuna tartare appetizer with wonton chips also looked very tasty; nice presentation. Really enjoyed the patio on this comfortably cool evening. This restaurant was the 18th ranked place on TripAdvisor. Frankly, I can't imagine that there are 17 better restaurants in this town. Likely somewhat pricey for Amarillo. Well worth the price in my opinion. read more

We ended up here on a wrong turn and ended up loving everything about our experience here. The food was so good, zero complaints. My only recommendation is to not order an appetizer and an entree unless you plan on taking home leftovers. By the time we ate some- not even half- of the delicious cheese curds appetizer- we couldn't even get through a third of our entrees. It's not a bad thing - but just so you know . The servings are a good size and you're not gonna want to just pick at it because it's so yummy. My martini was perfect- I could've drank those all day but well- that coulda been a problem lol. 5 stars in the context that this is Amarillo. Dined here twice while passing through town during the pandemic and enjoyed both meals. The fried cheese curds are great, they do a good ribeye, and they had a bison steak as a special the last time I was there that ended up being a bit dry, but otherwise acceptable. Well executed cocktail program and a fairly nice selection of craft beers. If you're in Amarillo and looking to have a decent meal, you could do far worse than Crush. read more

First, let me say i came in at 9:50 when the kitchen closes at 10. They did take my order and Juan our waiter was very friendly and helpful. He made suggestions and helped us get our order in before 10. Great service from him. The food... my wife ordered the blackened spicy tortellini with chicken. It was amazing. The garlic bread was unbelievable. Super flavorful, creamy, spicy, comfort food. Cant say enough good about this dish. It was great. However... the kung pao tacos... Bland, flavorless, made me wish we didn't eat there. Until i tried my wife's food. Seriously, yall should take this off the menu, or fix it. But it should not be served to humans at a restaurant like this. You are better than this, Crush. The best thing on the plate was easily the dollop of guac on the side. Here are some suggestions for how to fix it. Cook your tortillas!!! The raw corn torts are bland and would only take 1 minute in a hot skillet with a little olive oil and a sprinkle of salt. You've got a 10x better taco immediately. #2 Give me some dressing. Hot sauce, jalapeño ranch, mango salsa, something... anything. Then it wouldn't be so dry and bland. #3 the asian slaw was just cabbage. No slaw to it. No flavor on it. It was just dry cabbage. Come on man?! #4 dont fix it. Just remove it from your menu. It doesn't go with anything else you make. Except maybe the carnitas tacos. But I will NOT be trying those based on what i already know about how you do Tacos. Stick to what you're good at. You clearly dont care about this dish. Its an after thought. Just 86 it. You have a super cool spot. Don't ruin it with food like this. Almost gross. Gave you 4 stars for the service and the tortellini was sooo good. read more

I will definitely be recreating the lavender daydream at home. The wait staff was extremely friendly and efficient. (I watched a waitress patiently nod through a customer's rant that she was "living in fear" by abiding by the CDC's guidelines of wearing a mask/sanitizing tables during A PANDEMIC.) The food was pretty good! The steak had a great sear and flavor, but the brussel sprouts weren't the best. I really enjoyed my shrimp scampi. The charcuterie board wasn't anything to write home about but the cheese was good and I liked that they included beets.
