No it's not a set for a Stephen King movie. It's a run down relic of days gone by. The joint lost its luster decades ago, but the food is mediocre. Boss lady and I were driving through town and believed all the hype. The joint is small, dirty, and the floors uneven but that's what makes this joint appealing to some. I ordered a chili cheese bacon burger and she a regular cheeseburger. They tasted ok, nothing overwhelming. As some reviewers have commented, their patties are overcooked and dry. The fries and onion rings were good. One and done. There are better burger joints to visit.

Coyote bluff Cafe is not fine dining, but you can't get a better meal in Amarillo! This " hole in the wall" definitely delivers! My husband and I just finished feasting on a phenomenal California burger & a chili dog with onions and fried Jalapeño, along with a side of onion rings, and fries. Oh my Gosh! I can't actually pick my favorite be use they all came out steaming hot & perfectly prepared. Also, the portions were so generous. This. You gotta try it!

We took the advice of many previous reviewers on our way through to NM and so glad we did! The burgers and fries were incredible. Service was so quick. From when we walked in the door to burgers on our table was 12 mins, making it a delicious but quick pit stop on our 10 hour road trip. Like that's faster than a drive thru these days! All the burgers are 1/2 pound, and my husband added a second patty for $5.50. I had the green chile burger, and it was mild as promised but tasty!

Food is outstanding. Service was good! I loved the vibes of the lil place. Wanted to try something outside the norm of the "tourist attraction" restaurant in Amarillo and was so glad we did.

Hooooooowl, yip-yip, hooowl! That's coyote for, "BEST BURGER ALERT! Fun Fact: Just how we use Yelp to communicate to other foodies where they best food in town is, coyotes use a series of howls and yips to communicate with one another. All coyote talk aside, this spot is where to go for a burger. They dish out half pound patties of all styles: Old Fashion, Old Fashion Cheese, Hickory, Dijon Swiss, Hickery, Blue Cheese, Green Chili, Chili, Mushroom Swiss, etc. There's quite the selection if you ask me! My husband and I did the Hickory Burger, add Bacon because that's the move for 90s kids who grew up with Carl's Jr. and In-N-Out. It had tangy bbq sauce, lettuce, tomato, pickles, grilled onions and cheese. Basically, it was like a Double Double met a Bacon Western Cheeseburger. The burger was plump, juicy and howling with flavor! Of course, you can't bluff that the service and ambiance doesn't also make your visit. Our waitress had classic southern charm about her. She made us feel like a local, even though it was our first time. Super sweet woman! The ambiance was everything a burger joint should be. It had a dollar bill wall of customers who had visited and the menu chalked up on a blackboard. It was nothing fancy, just a real down-to-earth fun vibe. Going back? YIIIIIIIIP, that's... "hands down" in Coyote.

Can I give more than 5*? Amazing burger we got the bacon cheese burger. I added green chiles to mine my husband got mushrooms w his. Amazing! Cooked to perfection! We shared the green Chile cheese fries. Definitely fresh cut fries. Served w ranch. Too much food. There is a bath tub full of beer on ice. It's definitely quirky but memorable. The service was top notch. Very friendly and fast. The bathroom was very small. But how much room do you really need. It was a little hard to find in the dark but worth a visit while in Texas!!

My husband and I both had the burger from hell. They were hot, but not so hot that you could not taste all the flavors of the burger. Was excellent. The decor on the inside and outside is very nostalgic. The service was incredible. Highly recommend.

YAHOO what a fantastic find. A small off the main road eatery that is known for its burgers. The Coyote Bluff Cafe in Amarillo, made famous by Dinners, Drive-ins and Dives, delivered on its reputation with a great burger and other tasty offerings, but cleanliness may not have been a priority based on the establishment's appearance.

I had the pleasure of getting beat by a local pool legend, Chris, to the sound of Johnny Cash on the jukebox. Judy, the bartender brought out some of her own specialty cocktail concoctions on the house and they were delightful and sweet, just like her. This is my second time at Polly's and I can now attest to her consistency. I will never pass through Amarillo without stopping by Polly's.

Come in, swing by the cigarette machine before you find your way to a creaky leather chair and let the years begin to wind backward. Drink after drink winding the hands of the clock further and further back while Don Henley drips through the old wall mounted speakers like sap from an old tree. Perhaps it's the warmth of a friendly bar tender, or the strange greeting of a local stranger- but suddenly Polly's is home. Dare I say it- you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave. Five effing stars.

The main space is their taproom, where the back wall features a row of taps with all of their in house beers. There was a duo playing music in the other room, and there was a few other groups there. We played a very competitive game of Go Fish and really enjoyed the space there. For my first beer, I ordered the Mind The Gap, which was a bitter in an English pub style. I love a malty beer and it reminded me of some of my favorites. My girlfriend got a Pecan Porter that she really liked. It was dark and roasty. My next beer was their Tea Pilsner, which I never knew was a style of beer. This one was infused with hibiscus tea and I thought it was good. My girlfriend got their cherry lime seltzer. Not for me, but she enjoyed it. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Amarillo based on how great the drinks were. Thank you, Pondaseta. Service was superb, friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. And of course, the entertainment factor is real!
