Youngbloods is well worth a visit. Once again, I used the trusty Yelp app to find a breakfast place. As we pulled into the parking lot and saw all the cars, we knew this must be the place. It is a seat yourself restaurant. There were 5 of us and found a table right away. Our outgoing friendly waitress Gayla came by and brought waters and took our drink order. 3 of us had the senior over 65 breakfast. For 8.95, I had 2 eggs over easy, 3 pieces of bacon, Hash browns and 2 fluffy biscuits with a soup cup full of gravy! Everything was cooked exactly perfect! We all commented on the size of the meals and how great everything was. Our coffee cups were constantly full and Gayla was the best. I will be back!

Breakfast burrito was fantastic! The 2 egg breakfast with biscuit/gracy, hash browns was okay. Burrito was tasty, eggs were moist and it was a large portion for the price.

We went for brunch and the food was amazing! Portions are big and filling! Our waitress was friendly and helpful since it was our first visit. The restaurant was so much bigger than it looks from the outside! We came in through what we thought was the front, which turned out to be the side entrance. They have a cute gift shop too!

Great service and an excellent CFS! I definitely recommend the Vicki's with green chilis... so good!

On my triple D tour I came here. Don't plan on parking in the lot, look across the street. This place is hopping. Lots of people and most must be locals so this has to have the best food. Ordered the basic breakfast as it has a little of everything. The biscuits and gravy have to be some of the best I have had. It is real homemade gravy with fluffy biscuits. I was worried when I asked about the green chili she said it was a sauce. Hmmm... I don't know? Waitress said it was really good, so I figured why not, when in Rome do as the Roman's. The chili sauce is not hot but it has a great flavor! Wow! I ordered over easy eggs, came just as I wanted. Hash browns are not over cooked. Coffee was plain coffee so it hit the spot I have to say very loud in here so you really could not carry on a morning conversation without yelling. Also, I know I'm in a Texas, every other person has a cowboy hat... maybe I should try one.

When you walk in, If they have a table available, they will direct you to it, otherwise they will take your last name and tell you to go back outside and wait until they call your name. The menu is fairly straightforward so orders turned around pretty quick and it was a maximum of 20 to 25 minute wait to turn a table. My husband ordered the Hell burger which had the hot sauce on it and I had a grilled chicken sandwich. Both were absolutely fantastic as well as the shoestring fries were very good! Hubs really liked that his burger had a ton of peppers on it as well as the hot sauce so he felt like he was getting his daily vegetable allotment, lol! The service was actually pretty quick again, I believe this is because the menu was super simple and they had a ton of regulars coming in. You can also order to go if you don't want to wait as several people did, and my understanding is the packaging is fantastic so just as good as if you were sitting in the restaurant. The place is super small and there are tons of stuff on the wall so it's an interesting place. Service was friendly and efficient and now we can check this one off our checklist that we have been here when driving through Amarillo!

One thing of note was that it was my first time eating sweet potato casserole. One bite and I was instantly hooked. Today my wife and I decided to eat here for lunch. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. She picked the sausage and brisket with sweet potato casserole and greens while I chose the jalapeño sausage with brisket, beans, and potato salad. The beans were DELICIOUS! While everything on my plate was top notch, my wife can attest to just how much raving I did about those baked beans. We ended up sharing a few bites of each others food and I had some of her sweet potatoes. I was instantly taken back to my first experience having them years ago which reminded me just how good this place is. Definitely will be back again!

If I have a modest complaint it's that everything needs more seasoning (salt and black pepper in abundance !). I also prefer my sausage less finely ground, though I know that's not the Texas way. Sides I had (beans and corn) were solid (if not earth shattering). People were delightful, place is cute, and I'll always try to time my trips through Amarillo so I can come back. Oh, I forgot: $20 for a 3-way meat combo with two sides? Man, that's a bargain, particularly since it's enough for two medium eaters (particularly since as I've gotten older I can't wolf down 20oz of bbq anymore). Definitely go if you get the chance. True bbq vibe and taste.
