Despite the name, this place is not a coffeehouse. We read about this place in a Route 66 travel guide and My family of 6 visited yesterday morning expecting a barista and fresh roasted coffee. What we found was more of a diner that also served coffee. To be fair, the food was good! Our family had omelets and pancakes and bacon and more...everyone enjoyed their breakfast, but the "house coffee" was a pot on a burner that your served yourself, because the one lady they had running the register, taking orders, and running food had a line out the door (which was a good sign, I guess.) I had the Fixx 1, a two-egg combo, but someone else had ordered something similar and I got their order instead. She apologized and asked what she could do to make up for it, and they ended up comping my wife's omelet, which I appreciated. Prices were not bad at all, food was good, and the ambiance was friendly, if a bit dark. I think it would serve them better to rebrand as a diner and embrace that good breakfast menu, that way someone ordering a vanilla latte won't be surprised when it comes in a styrofoam cup. read more

Yum! Good food, good coffee! We're happy. I ordered the English muffin sandwich with egg and ham but without cheese and it is delicious. This is no little deli slice of ham but a nice chunk. Hubby's sourdough melt is to his liking a well. My dirty Chai and his iced latte are just great. Give this local spot a try and skip that national chain. read more

Twice before I meant to go here but I kept ending up at the wrong place. Today I got it right and was sure glad I did. This is a great little spot, only open till 2 p.m. but their breakfast is great. I bet their other food is too. I got the breakfast special which was $6 for two eggs, choice of meat, hash browns and choice of toast or pancake. I'm not a big pancake fan but I had a good feeling about this place so I ordered it. The pancake was wonderful. The eggs were wonderful. I wish I had remembered to ask the guy to cook the hash browns extra crispy but they were still good flavored. Oh, and the breakfast includes coffee. Triple strength coffee. I haven't had coffee that strong for ages. I may not sleep for a week. I forgot to ask the guy behind the counter if he was the owner (I'm pretty sure he was) or just a very good employee but he was very pleasant, welcoming, and informative when I asked questions. I thought maybe the place was new since I hadn't heard of it before but he said they've been there for 2 years so maybe it just didn't show up on my Yelp results because it's too far from where I'm staying. The food was good. In a hip neighborhood off the beaten trail on 66. Parking was off the street. Food was good; I had sausage gravy and biscuits. Coffee was good. Service was so so. I ordered and someone after me received his food first. He had a complete meal. Staff openly complained about their day in dining area. Since I was passing through I won't return; but the food and experience were good. read more

Stopped in for a couple coffees when we were driving down historic Route 66. So glad we did! The service was so friendly and the drinks were great. If we had more time we would've eaten because the menu was larger than we expected. Will be back next time we're in Amarillo. read more

Stopped here for breakfast in Amarillo during our road trip. It was so clean, and a really cute inside. There was a very sweet woman working the front counter. Possibly an owner? Not sure but she was so pleasant to be around. Reminded me of family. Anyhow, she took our order, we went with the special. The coffee was good and the food was cooked very quickly. I didn't even get a photo because we ate it so quickly. We would definitely come back. I hope this business gets lots of support during these covid times. I recommend the breakfast special, it came with eggs, meat of your choice, (ham, sausage, or bacon) a pancake or toast, and coffee for only $6. Great coffee and food! I've had their coffee before, which is always good, but this was the first time I've eaten here. I got the biscuits and gravy and it was the best I've had in a long time.
