They had a rough start from opening. But have bounced back wonderfully It seems any new restaurant that opens in this area gets overwhelmed on opening so wait time in the first few weeks should not go against them. The food I had was great the dragon fruit pancake is really rich I would suggest asked for no icing. . The plates run about 13-20$ but add-ons can be pricey. I had no wait in the morning w I th what seemed like a full parking lot. Chris the manager does check around and speak with guests as his time allows and seems like he really cares and is riendly person. My family & I came for the soft opening, we are a party of 6. We were promptly seated & I love the flow of the seating area. There is more than one way to get in & out of the seating area which not only helps the customers but the employees navigate that area. The servers & employees were very attentive to their tables, making sure no drink became empty. My husband LOVED the coffee they served. We both even thought the cups were the perfect size. There is a separate enclosed room with a TV - the painting on the wall is very detailed & very specific to Amarillo, I think it's pretty amazing. My husband ordered a Hot Honey Chicken & Yolk Biscuit Sandwich. He said it was the perfect balance of sweet & spicy. If you order this, ask for extra napkins, it's drippy. Being very allergen friendly I received a Gluten Free menu - there are plenty of options! Looking over the menu everything sounded delicious. I ordered the West Coast Arnold on gluten free bread - this was a favorite of mine! My step-son ordered Two Buttermilk pancakes with blueberries. The blueberries came in the batter. He ate everything. Two of my kids ordered the kids pancakes & they can not stop talking about them. They left nothing on their plate - there are no pictures of the pancakes because they ate it so quickly. My youngest ordered the kids French Toast. This was her first time eating french toast and she chose it because she saw someone else eating it. The portions were a great size! We left with full bellies & happy hearts. There is an outdoor seating area & a separate grassy area - my kids thought it was a place to run around after eating... I'll let them think that. I didn't use the restroom while we were there but my daughter said it was so clean that she toured the bathroom more than once, she even convinced her younger sister to see the bathroom. It may have been the first time it was open but staff & owners were friendly. There is a dedicated fryer & waffle maker for gluten free allergies. The Toasted Yolk Cafe has switched to using 100% beef tallow in all its fryers nationwide. My daughter enjoyed our experience and she told the manager that she'll see him every week! The breakfast was far below par. The eggs were overcooked, the biscuit undercooked, and the butter hard/frozen. It as very unappetizing. Service was mediocre and the ambiance more like a sports bar. It was also very expensive. read more

If you want a very expensive breakfast maybe this is the place for you. I had read reviews on next door neighbor app and thought oh it sounds good. Well not so much and the sticker shock was rough. Much of what you have has to have added fees. For example if you want pancakes you have to add another 5.99 for egg and sausage. The total is about 17 bucks. Now the cakes were pretty good. However the 16 chicken sandwich was so dry it was even hard to swallow. Two of us got it and two of us weren't interested in actually eating it. But to each his own. The waitress was nice. The pancakes were pretty good. But unless we just hit a bad day the chicken sandwich was too dry and rubbery. Maybe just way overcooked. I won't wanna rush back. read more

Service was awful, on Father's Day at 11 didn't have enough champagne and wouldn't let us have a bottle because there were only 4 left. Waitress let us know door dash orders were throwing the kitchen way behind. Took over an hour to get food and when it came out wrong never corrected. My daughter ordered an English muffin and we never got it and we never got water we asked for. Just a bad experience. My husband's meal was inedible and the waitress never asked us how the food was for us. She did take the English muffin off the ticket but never corrected the sides that came out wrong. We were hoping after they'd been open for a few months things would have gotten better, but sadly they haven't. We've eaten at one in Lubbock and it is much better service and quality of food. We won't be back here to eat. read more

The problem was not that our wait time tripled before we left, but because the majority of the tables were open. We watched as multiple staff stood around. It was total chaos today. Waited an hour and 45 minutes to get a table for a 25 minute waitlist. Took 18 minutes to have a waiter come take drink orders after we finally were seated. We knew several people who checked in after us that were seated and served before we even sat down. Some people in our party stated they will not return. read more

We went in yesterday to try this new restaurant. We ordered eggs Benedict. A server brought us a other tables order and looked at us as if we were crazy when we told him it wasn't our order. Our waiter then came to our table and said that they were out of English muffins. My wife said toast would be fine. I changed to biscuits and gravy with eggs and hash browns. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection. However, the biscuits were dough and the hash browns were a casserole loaded with cheese and also undercooked. The food reminded me of bad dorm food. There are a number of better options for breakfast in Amarillo. read more

We went to the Toasted Yolk on a Sunday about Noon... we waited for a total of 47 minutes and we also used the Join wait list from Google. Everyone was very friendly and once we were seated our waitress was very kind and helpful. It was our first time there so she made some suggestions and we shared some French toast sticks which were very good and came with Syrup and an icing. Once our main dish came the presentation was nice. My husband really liked his Brisket Screamble but he did say it was not very warm. I started to eat my Classic Arnold and they were cold and also had an odd taste. I've never tasted a hollandaise sauce like that and the Canadian bacon was like rubber. I kind of though they were just microwaved or something. I did really like the hashbrown casserole but it could have been warmer... We never did see our waitress again until my husband waved her down to get our check. At that point she seemed mad. I would say the Toasted Yolk is mediocre, but glad we tried it out. As far as the Ambiance the curb appeal is nice and they have a small area for corn hole and a beautiful bar that is half on the patio. The inside isnt anything special. read more

I was honestly really disappoint in this place. I was so excited to see a new brunch spot. Finally tried it today. I love that you can join the waitlist from home and it's accurate so you don't have to wait at the restaurant for the hour-ish wait. Unfortunately that's the only good thing I have to say about this place. Our waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there and check on us once after we got our food. She never came back after bringing our drinks until food was given. That leads to the biggest complaint. The wait for the food. A table mate timed it and it took over an hour to get our food. When we did get our food, it was lack-luster at best. Seasoning was minimal on savory foods and if you get something with fruit expect a few pieces at most. I'm not sure what is going on, but this is unfortunate for a new restaurant. I'm hoping they improve or they won't be there for long. read more

The service was great however the food quality is not what I would expect from specialty restaurant. One example is the cheese sauce tasted like the cheap canned nacho sauce for a concession stand. If I'm paying to dine out I expect best grade or scratch made food. And the coffee tasted burnt. read more

Our server was awesome. But to wait an hour for a table and then to wait an hour for the food was really ridiculous. Kids meals were so basic. Far too expensive for what it was. If you haven't gone, I wouldn't waste your time. We got there at 11 am and didn't leave till after 130 pm. Unreal! I don't write reviews unless my experience is extremely good or bad. I went in by myself 3 days after opening. I was seated right away and my waitress brought me coffee. I ordered the "Cowboy Breakfast" which was amazing. It had several very tasty biscuits halved and then drenched in gravy with sausage, egg, cheese mixed in. It was hot upon arrival so I dug in. Quite a large portion but I was able to make a nice dent. I had cheese grits and while I can make tastier ones at home, these managed to dissappear. The waitress checked on me and when I neede her, she was readily available. The restaurant was clean and everyone was very nice. I can't wait to go back and try something else. read more

Unimpressed with everyrhing except the blueberry donut. That was excellent. My mimosa was either wrong or very bad. I ordered the strawberry orange flavor, and it was very bitter...as if it was possibly grapefruit. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich that was supposed to have bacon jam. There wasn't any on there, and without it the sandwich is very dry and flavorless. I asked for chicken sausage and got regular sausage. I tasted the biscuit that cam with my husband's meal, and ot was hard and cold. It looked like that big tray of biscuits you can buy at Sam's. read more

We were very understanding about that. When I placed my order, I asked for hash browns as my side, the server did not let me know it has brown casserole. We should up today with high expectations, my wife and I heard alot of of good things. Before even siting down they wiped the table off and there was food all over our chairs and my daughter my daughter's high chair. So I proceeded to clean off everything no biggie they were busy. Took awhile to get our waitress which was fine we were looking over our menu. We go to order and 7 items of food they were out of, as a previous buisness owner you know its better to have to much of one thing rather than not enough. So after trying to piece things together and being charged extra for items that were not sold out we finally got our food. It was so cold like it had been sitting out for while and you can tell they used frozen meat by how dried out it was. Neither my wife, kids or myself finished our food and got charged extra for item that they had in stock rather than being like sorry for the inconvenience of being out of alot of food we wont charge you extra.
