I had multiple dinners here. Wine menu is great. Seared Tuna was best. The Lobster one time I had was excellent. Staff service is very good. Wish they have few more vegetarian items. Overall great evening experience read more

We celebrated our 50th anniversary here. We are traveling and wanted a nice restaurant. Jerry our server was Amazing. He said relax and enjoy your evening. He was very attentive and made the night perfect. Alex helped us with our wine selection, an excellent wine we had never tried before. We definitely give this restaurant a 5. The food was beyond what we had hoped for. read more

Delicious! We travel a lot and look for restaurants a bit off the beaten path food-wise. This was perfect! We had the queso & chips, chicken fried steak with green chile gravy and cheesesteak sandwich with smoky queso. All were phenomenal. Crispy Brussels sprouts are amazing. Super attentive and friendly staff. Would go again next trip! read more

Lovely restaurant inside a very bland exterior. We just stopped in for a glass of Happy Hour wine and a snack in the bar. Brussels sprouts were well prepared and just the right amount. The smash burger was good as well. Can't say that for the accompanying waffle fries which were not at all crisp. The interior was very large and beautifully appointed. The serving staff were pleasant and on top of things read more

Hosted a work dinner here with a party of 10 and couldn't have been happier. The staff was very helpful and accommodated last minute changes to the size of our party, very grateful to them for making it work. The food was excellent, my grouper was cooked perfectly and the chili crisp put it over the top. The restaurant was clean and orderly, none of the chaos you get at other busy places. I can see why this place is so popular. read more

Started rough as our server didn't know we were seated but they quickly made up for it as the drinks were awesome, the apps were awesome and the main course was fantastic. Must do are the Brussel Sprouts and Sweet Tea Chicken Sandwich. Our server (Jace) was superb! read more

The ambiance was nice, and the service was excellent. Unfortunately, that's where the positive experience ended. Every dish arrived less than five minutes after we ordered, making it hard to believe anything was prepared fresh. The French onion soup was cold and had to be sent back. The chicken-fried steak was so tough it was difficult to cut, let alone eat. The gravy was cold, and the risotto, Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, and carrots were all served cold as well. The overall quality, taste, and presentation of the food were a complete disappointment. A restaurant serving meals at this price point should have basic quality control to ensure food is freshly prepared, served at the proper temperature, and that meats meet an acceptable standard before leaving the kitchen. The kitchen fell far beyond short. Management needs to address food quality and temperature standards if they expect guests to return. read more

We had a fine dinner here, beginning with Crispy Fried Langostino with a puckering Lemon Aioli. A Bowl of spicy Vegetable Beef Soup and a House Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette were good starters. Then a 6-ounce medium rare Petite Filet Mignon with a Cold Water Lobster Tail, Mashed Potatoes, and Red Wine Braised Cabbage served as a great choice for my entree. The Lobster meat was sweet, and so was the Port Wine Reduction Sauce for the steak. We received fine service except for a missing soup spoon. Piped in country music added to the wine cellar and wine cask ambiance. XXXX-1/2 overall! read more

The owner is fantastic. I'd trust anything from here. Ambiance is great. And the food is just first rate. You'll enjoy this place for sure. Hard to find anything like it in West Texas. read more

We looked on OpenTable and there were no reservations, I called to ask about wait times and there wasn't one! When I drove up to this strip mall I wasn't sure what to expect but inside it's beautiful--great ambiance. The server was great, so friendly. I will say the pour on the wine was painfully slight. Like really unusually low pour. We ordered the green hatch chili queso, it was fine but not green hatch forward. I ordered the special--sea bass and risotto. It was very good. Portion was not huge, but plenty of it. It was very very rich. Floating in butter/oil. Delicious but not a lite fish dish by any means. My friend had a burger. It was great. Fries are unremarkable--frozen bag type fries. The price point was pretty high. One drink each and two dinners, 100$ before tip so on the high end. Staff was very good and we were wished well when we left. read more

For starters large parking lot with ample parking a huge plus. I was made to feel welcome the moment I entered. Having wasted a dinner at a local tourist trap earlier in the week I was craving a nice steak for my last evening in Amarillo and this restaurant filled that need. They have a nice wine list and settled on a malbec for $13 it was a very generous pour. For dinner I enjoyed the 14oz ribeye medium and it was flavorful and cooked to proper temperature. The Seasoning was good and the meat tender. Worth the $41. No feast would be complete without dessert and I enjoyed their white chocolate and raspberry creme brûlée and it was OMG divine. Nice layer of caramelized sugar over decadent raspberry creme. I definitely recommend. Finally kudos to my server Jordan, he was very attentive and prompt with his service. Next time travels bring me to Amarillo I will definitely return to Cellar 55. read more

Absolutely the best dining experience in Amarillo...Chris and his amazing staff recently hosted a wedding rehearsal dinner for us that was beyond any of our expectations. We had a family matter resulting in a large group of us coming to town last minute - I called at noon and they were flexible enough to reserve a table for 15 at 5 pm the same day. The waitress was beyond kind regarding our circumstances and provided excellent service. She was patient and attentive. The food was amazing - everyone loved it and it all came out at once/hot. It was our first time and it exceeded our expectations. We will make it our go to spot moving forward! read more

We're driving through Amarillo on our way back from a long trip and this is a place to stop for us. We decided to look for a place to have dinner. All four of us decided on Cellar 55. Man, am I glad we did. First, the restaurant is beautiful. Wonderfully decorated dark woods and dark tile tones (masculine kind of steak house). Even when you go to wash your hands in the men's room, the soap for mean was Whiskey and Tobacco scented (nice masculine touch). My wife said it was soft floral sent in the women's room. Anyway, AJ took care of us a dinner. Super nice guys and honestly, he made the dining experience that much more of a pleasure. The food was great, My wife had Grouper with risotto and asparagus tips, I had rack of lamb with mushroom risotto and Brussel Sprouts with a honey glaze. My dad had petite filet with fingerling potatoes and the same Brussels sprouts. My mom had salmon with mushroom risotto and the Brussels sprouts as well. For desert, peanut butter pie, blonde with ice cream, key lime pie, crème brûlée. OMG, I can't say enough good things about all these food dishes. Everything was just delicious. On this trip we've been to some nice places and went to a bunch of other restaurants. Even while in Sedona, which has some nice places, none offered such wonderful food as Cellar 55. Highly recommend whether you live in Amarillo or just passing through. read more

Food was ok. The cocktails were ok. Service was excellent. Let me be plain, you're here for the atmosphere, not the quality. Not bad quality, just not great quality, which is what the prices suggest. Large selection of drinks. I'll be fair and give the good and bad. Don't try the Smoke and mirrors drink, unless you like extremely smokey drinks. Wow it was strong, couldn't finish it, and I like smokey flavors. Way too much smoke. The white negroni was really good. Waygu burger was ok, spent an extra $5 on some kind of specialty bacon. Couldn't tell the difference from regular bacon, and it was chewy and stringy, when you bit into it you had to pull the string to break it, instead of being properly cooked. Not great, ate half of it. Fries were mushy, not crisp at all. Good seasoning though. The sweet tea chicken was pretty good. Sweet and savory. Unique. I liked it. But wouldn't come back for it. Lobster appetizer was really good. The creme brûlée was great. Over Service was excellent. I didn't ask, but the waitress noticed I didn't drink the smoke and mirrors cocktail and took it off my tab. Everything was perfect with the service. Just the right amount of time at a restaurant. read more

Stopped in while driving through Amarillo. Great atmosphere and service. We had a Ribeye Steak with mashed potatoes and asparagus. It was cooked to perfection. The wine selection is amazing and we chose a red blend from Napa. The evening was perfect. We will stop again on our next visit. read more

Went for our Anniversary dinner. Excellent service from our waitress Destiny! We typically just order drinks and appetizers or small plates to share. Everything we ordered was very good and would be ordered again. We enjoyed the overall atmosphere and looking forward to our next visit. Constructive criticism: Some of the steak bits were not eatable chunks of grizzle. Scallops cooked ok and tasted great, our preference is a harder sear. Bacon sampler, tasty but over priced. read more

Traveling thru Amarillo we placed a pickup order for two salads - both listed under the Entree Salad part of the menu. The Ahi Tuna salad and the Cellar Salad add shrimp. The Ahi Tuna salad was 21.00 and the Cellar Salad was 12.00 plus 12.00 for the shrimp. The Ahi salad had 3 thin pieces of Ahi tuna and the Cellar salad only had 2 shrimp. Kind of a rude surprise when we opened them up in the hotel. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager about both salads but especially the 2 shrimp for an entree salad. He said "nope", it was not a mistake, that's what it comes with. No mention of the complaint for the Ahi tuna. read more

Underwhelmed. Mashed potatoes tasted like they had instant potatoes in them. Filet was under seasoned. No bread served with meal. Does not offer the upscale dining experience that you would hope from the reviews and atmosphere. Much better filets in Amarillo for the price. read more

Steaks were delicious and the Au pouive sauce!!! Everything else pretty average but decent. Service was great our server was very attentive, he got a large bday party next to us but we never felt forgot he stayed o on top of it the whole time. Also did his job trying to up sell dishes and explains favorite dishes. Ambiance of the place is great, drinks were good, and service was great. I would suggest to look at sides and salads and figure out how to elevate because for the prices in a smaller market it could be more elevated. Thank you for a great night and good steaks on our way through town! read more

We were passing through for one night and had dinner and WOW; what a fabulous restaurant all the way around. From the parking lot, it's very unassuming; but once through the doors from the ambiance, service, food, and drinks....fantastic! We came to Cellar 55 to celebrate our anniversary, and it was such a special experience from start to finish. The service was absolutely amazing--Ashley took such great care of us and was so attentive throughout the evening. I had the New Orleans pasta, and my husband ordered the chicken fried steak--both were incredibly good! We also started with the queso, which was delicious and full of flavor. To top it off, they generously comped our dessert in honor of our anniversary. We chose a blend of our two favorites--cheesecake and carrot cake--and it was the perfect sweet ending to a perfect night. We're so grateful for the wonderful food, kind service, and thoughtful touches. Highly recommend! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. They took my leftovers to the back to box up - super gross and unsanitary to have someone else handling my food - and while they were back there I could hear the owner yelling at his staff all the way from the dining room. Food was great. I read about someone being less than pleased with the scallops but I found them perfectly cooked with a hint of smoke and salt flakes. My wife had the salad loaded with various berries. Delicious. Enters were the grouper and pork chop. Both very tasty. But, order the pork chop medium and not medium well. It was a tad bit dry. Creme Brule was good. Our server was listed as Ghost. She was either new or inept. The salad came after our entrees. We had to have two other servers flagged down to get things done. Also, the dessert spoons arrived a good 8-10 minutes before the dessert. Someone from the kitchen staff delivered it. We did not have reservations sowete put in the lounge area.
