My wife and I enjoyed lunch at Six Car Pub & Brewery while visiting Amarillo. I had the Miles Burger, Kay had the Cobb Salad, and we both really enjoyed our meals. Unfortunately, Kay accidentally left her purse behind, and we didn't realize it until we were well on our way home to the DFW area. The staff had found and secured it, and Nick at Six Car went above and beyond to help us get it back. He packaged it and took care of getting it shipped through FedEx after I sent him a prepaid label. When the purse arrived safely, we discovered that they had even included a Six Car T-shirt, mug, bandana, and stickers as a surprise. That's the kind of customer service and hospitality you remember. We're very grateful to Nick and the Six Car team. Good food and good people--Six Car will definitely be on our list the next time we're in Amarillo. read more

Came here 3 PM, every other restaurant was serving only appetizers until 4 PM but this wonderful establishment had their full menu available. The restaurant was clean, cool, and had ample seating. The drinks were refreshing, , cold, and wonderful in flavor. We enjoyed pizza, wings, cocktails, and amazing beer. read more

We did not have a bite to eat, but the beers and cocktail menu were great. The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect of a brewery. read more

We found this place because we searched for something dog friendly. They have a lovely patio shaded with Chinese elm trees. We had half sandwiches and huge side salads for their lunch special (between 11 and 2). We had the Cuban and the pulled pork grilled cheese. Food was great and the service was friendly. No complaints. We had no trouble parking on the street free, but I can imagine it might be tough parking during peak times. read more

Cool spot to stop into. Super dog friendly which was much needed and appreciated. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very welcoming vibe. Food was good and fresh. Better than interstate food I was eating driving cross country. read more

We were passing through Amarillo on a road trip, and our Airbnb host recommended Six Car. We found free street parking a block or two away and walked over. I had added our party to the online waitlist as we were driving over, and our table was ready when we arrived. We quickly ordered a few snacks and drinks and everything tasted pretty good. Service was very friendly, as well. It is also a pretty big place, and we saw some big groups/families, which is good to know if you are in the area with a lot of people. read more

Everything is great about this place. The beer is amazing - especially they brew some bold floral flavors! Way to go. Amazing food and helpful staff! read more

Six Car is a pretty standard brewpub, with a broad food menu and a nice selection of beers. We popped in around 7 pm on a Thursday and it wasn't crowded; we sat at the bar for dinner but plenty of tables were available too. Other patrons were mostly young/middle-aged men who looked to be straight from the office, along with some families and other groups who may be visiting town. The place has plenty of large tables for bigger groups and staff seemed to keep up with orders just fine. Beers were just fine but not exceptional. Caesar salad was exactly as expected, with tiny croutons and dry grated Parm (both of which seemed like they came straight from a bag). Fries were that coated twice-fried sort that are extra greasy--not really my thing. The burger was a nice size, and hot and tasty. This is a nice walkable neighborhood and street parking was easy to find on a weekday evening. read more

This spot was a bit of a letdown. It's a really cool location with a rooftop bar, but the beer and food were less than mediocre. Our server was really nice, but she'd only been working 2 days and knew nothing about the menu or beer selection. My pizza reminded me like a frozen pizza. Cool spot to drink, but I would eat elsewhere! read more

This is one of the best restaurants and bars I've been to in Amarillo! Will definitely go back. I tried several of their house beers, and all were good. The stout was my favorite. This place got very crowded and the staff were busy the whole time, but I was still served quickly and with politeness. read more

The food at Six Car Pub is amazing! My husband had the fish and chips and ate the whole thing! He said the fish was delicious! I had the Figgy Piggy pizza and could not have asked for a better bite of food! The figs, balsamic and greens...chef's kiss! A very nice restaurant....would definitely come back! read more

A millllllion stars for this amazing pizza!!!!!!!! If you're in Amarillo for whatever reason, come here and get the pizza!!! I got the hot honey pep and was ~blown~ away by how yummy it was. If you don't like this pizza then you don't know good pizza. Don't trust anyone who talks shiz on this pizza. Their happy hour prices are great!!!! $10 for this pizza and 4 buckaroos for a draft. Their inside is cute, they have outdoor seating (rooftop was closed when I went) and the staff was sweet. Literally truly, what more could you want? read more

First night in downtown Amarillo, and needed a walkable dinner option. Found it in Six Car... great green chili burger with a perfectly cooked egg on top. And a quality caramel-forward house-made Texas Bock brew to wash it down. Timely and friendly service. Fun atmosphere. read more

Ordered the jalapeño pretzel and buffalo wings with carrots and celery. The pretzel did not taste like anything other than bread. The wings and sides were dry. We told the waiter about our about our food and didn't really seem to care much. He wasn't rude at all. He was nice, just food wasn't great. read more

Unfriendly staff at the front. Unfriendly bartender. My friend asked me if my drink had alcohol in it and honestly, I wasn't sure but I had two drinks and did not taste any alcohol or have any effects which I don't drink very much at all anymore and I always feel a little tiny buzz even with one drink the second drink didn't do anything. when I got home I usually know and can feel the effects of alcohol, but there was no alcohol in either one of my drinks or my friend's drinks. We talked about it this morning and it was just a really weird. read more

The whole vibe was amazing. Very chill and welcoming. My husband and I really enjoyed our night. We brought our 5 month old daughter with us and she loved all the lights there. We started off with the truffle fries and they were sooooo good! My husband got the hot honey pepperoni pizza and ate almost all of it. I got the angry bird grilled cheese with onion rings. They were both delicious. I was able to get a virgin mule and really enjoyed it. The whole experience was amazing and will be going back. read more

I wish I could remember the name of the girl who waited on us. I believe she was part Asian. She was so kind and attentive. Her service made our experience even better. Their food was surprisingly good! It had items you wouldn't find at just any restaurant. I believe I had the Korean chicken sandwich. They even have a kids menu! So my little guy had some applesauce. It felt big and spacious inside. Overall it was a great experience! Glad we came here to visit. read more

Food was good, service was friendly, food took forever. We came on a Tuesday, $2.50 beers, sliders, kids meals, and fries. We ordered them all, and a side of sautéed veggies, the Nashville chicken sandwich, the side strawberry feta salad, the side Caesar salad, the chocolate torte, and the cheesecake. Everything was good except the cheesecake with ganache. The cheesecake was... gritty... and the ganache was very similar to Hershey's chocolate syrup (don't get me wrong, I like Hershey's but it's definitely not ganache). read more

I can't give a review of the food because we didn't actually eat there. Let me explain. We arrived a little after 6pm in a Thursday evening. Hostess stated it would be a 15 minute wait. Took that long just to get a cocktail. Once we were finally seated we sat around waiting for some one to acknowledge our existence. Watch a couple of servers chat it up. We finally walked out at 7:17 still hungry and thirsty. read more

Food was great! Great atmosphere. Good service. My husband is in love with the Hog Nose Radler Shandy. Highly recommend!

Excellent ambiance. It was busy but not overwhelmingly loud. Service was quick and friendly. Their beers are pretty good. I would recommend the cheese curds but steer clear of the Six Car burger unless you like granulated cheese. read more

Someone in our dinner club keeps choosing Six Car, and we gave them another try. Want to like the place; but keeps disappointing. Tonight had the patty melt sandwich. Menu description sounded good; but it was very average. When I order a sourdough patty melt I'm thinking toasted gooey richness. Got untoasted, lukewarm dry sandwich. Lots of dry sourdough without much melted cheese. Whataburger's patty melt is twice as good. Wife had smash burger and it was equally uninspiring. Food for our table of 6 took a long time; which wasn't a problem in itself because we were enjoying our fellowship. But, I'm afraid kitchen staffing is an issue because several entrees tasted like they had been hanging around under a headlamp waiting on the rest of the food. Once again service was mediocre, with slow attention to drink refills and no quality check back; and no manager presence at all. Its a shame as we want this place to succeed, but it seems like a place to drink beer; but not expect good food. read more

Being new to town I wanted to try some of the local beer. So I swung by Six Car with my growlers to get them filled up. The service was prompted and getting them filled was easy. In and out. My only issue is that neither of my growlers were sealed or labeled. This might seem trivial, but hear me out. Every other time I've gotten my growlers filled, the lids have been tightened and taped shut. Because, you know, you have to take them home and you don't want them to leak all over the car. It also really helps if they are labeled, because you might want to know which beer you're drinking. Instead it was just like "this beer is in this growler, this beer is in this growler. Don't mix them up or forget which is which." Neither of these happened and that is quite disappointing. Now to keep things in perspective, while it was disappointing, it wasn't a deal breaker. The beer was good and the brewery itself has a fantastic setup. It's just the difference between a 4-star and a 5-star review. I'll be back. I just might not swing by for another growler fill up. read more

Food was very good. Service a bit slow. They charge a credit card processing fee of 2.5% which is ridiculous and WSST on top of that.

Delicious food. Tater tots were super crispy. The burger I had was thin, but super juicy. Others ordered spicy chix things and they didn't leave a drop on their plates. read more

Atmosphere is awesome! The lighter patio, upper balcony with a view and heaters, inside seating up and downstairs screamed "craft brewery!" Conveniently located, parking was easy and close by. But the way they have it designed was impressive!!! Wish I could say I tried their beer, but I was drawn to the Amarillo Slim mixed drink with DR PEPPER!!! Wasn't my favorite beverage, definitely couldn't drink several in one night like you could some cold craft brew, but it's interesting and worth a try. Think Dr Pepper meets CherryLimeade plus some rum. I got the "Climate Change Burger" which I was really hoping by the name meant that it didn't have beef in it....But it does . However it was pretty good even tho not climate change friendly. The pizza tho! Wow!!! Comin from a small town with nothing but fast-food chain pizza... it was so refreshing to have a GOOD pizza! Tried the pepperoni mushroom and it was the right amount of delicious sauce and bread/crust. read more

The food was good! We got cheese fries to start out. It's put on aluminum foil, and if you're weird like me. Forks touching foil or foil in my mouth really freaks me out. The place looked nice both inside and out. The service was okay, giving us enough time to enjoy our drinks and get refills. But the food took a long time to come, even though it wasn't very busy on a weekday. The sandwiches were pretty dry, and the pizza options weren't very exciting. Considering where it is and the good reviews, we expected more. read more

Went for first time-not so busy on a Saturday afternoon with football. Nice day, but patio had lots of flies, so we stayed inside. Tables didn't seem very clean. Menus were dirty and needed cleaning. Waitress was cute and friendly, but beer was not cold and second came in a plastic cup. Burger was fine but could be warmer. Just seemed OK- but it just needed a good cleaning. read more

Food, service, ambiance.....this place was terrific. Passing through Amarillo, and this turned out to be a great choice.

Nice place downtown, we sat upstairs and it was a little quieter than the main floor. Only bummer was part of the keg and tap system was down and they only had a couple of draft beers. Food looked and smelled amazing, we didn't order anything as we had eaten a really late lunch. Just a great reason to stop back by! Service was very responsive. read more
