Unless you know the owner, manager or, in my case, are great friends with the host / hostess who meet you when you come in be prepared to wait. On a Saturday night (25 Jan) my party of four came in with no reservations so when we were told it would be an approximately 45 min wait we didn't have an issues with that; totally understandable given the circumstances. They took my wife's cell number and said they would contact her once a table became available. While we patiently waited for the call or text we were in the bar area enjoying drinks. After about an hour and a half of waiting and seeing new faces get seated ahead of us I left the bar area and asked the hostess who took our info how much more of a wait there was. The hostess said she tried texting and no one replied / showed up to be seated. I quickly told her "No you didn't" and the host that was working with her stated something about we "opted out of text" and I quickly told him "no we didn't" and added that we had been in the bar area the whole time. Once confronted they quickly fumbled and looked for a way to get us seated and I went back to the bar area. The manager / supervisor in the bar area Emily was made aware of the issue and took very good care of us and got us seated and our server, Morgan, was outstanding. Visited with party of 6 on a Tuesday evening. The day after Memorial Day and the restaurant was pretty empty. Service was okay. Couple of issues that ruined the evening: 1) Due to building design, very hard to carry on conversation even in empty restaurant. Concrete floors and warehouse ceilings give no sound dampening. I like 90s rock and roll; but so loud due to design. 2) I ordered the cajun redfish, which is a menu item I get at other seafood restaurants. It was horrible. Overcooked, dry, needed twice as much of the crawfish cream sauce. Should have sent it back; but I was invited by others to dine. My creamed corn was also dry and lacking seasoning. Dinner rolls that we received were room temperature and didn't begin to melt the butter provided. The caesar salad was lame, no chilled bowl, romaine wasn't crisp and not near enough dressing.My whole meal tasted like it sat under heat lamp waiting on my dining partners steaks to cook. One service note: rather than bringing me and another diner refills on unsweetened ice tea, she brought an extra glass of tea for us to serve ourselves from. It was a regular 16 oz glass and was not designed to pour beverages, so tea dribbled on our table trying to refill our own tea. At least bring a carafe or pitcher. Can't recommend or anticipate returning. Too bad, we need good seafood/steakhouses in Amarillo. read more

My wife and I were driving through town, staying in Amarillo for one night. We decided to try this place as it was one of the nicer looking options about 20 min from our hotel. We ordered takeout, brought it back and started the meal. It was mediocre at best (and overpriced for the quality) but we were hungry and just chalked it up to "you win some, you lose some." Dry, boxed lobster mac n cheese, stuffed shrimp that wasn't stuffed at all and instead had a scoop of cheap stuffing placed on each piece, all of which slid off the min we picked it up, overcooked steak, etc. But again, we continued to eat and let it go. Then, halfway though the meal, my wife found a sharp, broken plastic bottle top in her salad. (See pic). We immediately called. The first woman we spoke with was sorry and said would you like a refund? My wife said "Yes. I can send pics or whatever you need." She said "Oh no darling, no need for that! Hold on." A man named Rowdy then answered the phone and asked how he could help us. My wife told him about the bottle top and he said "ok..?" And then nothing. No apology. No shock. Just waiting for my wife to say something else. She said "Ok...?" right.He then put us on hold and came back to ask us for our name and when we ordered it. We told him. And then he said "So what would you like me to do about it?" Really? My wife said, "We'd like a refund for one of the two meals." He then said "Well I cant do that. I can give you a voucher for the next time you come in or I can get you a new salad." We told him that we would not be back in town and did not want another salad. He then said "I mean, I'm trying to help you but I cant give you a refund. I mean, I'm not calling you a liar but I don't even know what it is." He proceeded to tell my wife that she could come back so that he could "see". She hung up intending to wait 15 min to get our car out of hotel valet and then drive 25 min just to prove their error to a man who couldn't even apologize or express concern. I told her that we would not be going back. Not only was it inconvenient but it was *packed* with maskless patrons and staff. Coming from out of town during Covid, it did not seem like a safe environment. The manager's nonchalance and lack of apology and decision to not offer any compensation for such a disgusting mistake coupled with the below average food makes this a place that I would tell anyone to avoid. read more
