We enjoyed the day at Palo Duro Canyon and being that it was our anniversary I wanted Italian. We were so blessed that Canyon has Mickey's Place. Being that we were vacationing in the area and staying at a local hotel we weren't wanting to travel far for dinner. I made reservations for 5. Place was not busy, yet, so we were seated immediately and waiter, Nathan, got our drink order and brought out marinara sauce and bread triangles for dipping. We decided to share a pizza, half Spicy Pizza Diavola and half Caramelized Onion, Bacon, Spinach. Nathan brought out our small garden salads which were fresh and crispy and kept our drinks constantly filled. He brought out fresh bread and then we also had a visit from the manager just to say hi and making sure we were enjoying our evening. The pizza was stupendous. The food was average for the price and the service was not good at all. Our waiter was not attentive and I had to ask one of the other wait staff to tell our waiter that we needed more drinks after waiting a while for refills. He just wasn't into his job last night. The service is top notch. Great wine selection. Food was good. We had the calamari, Cesar salad, and Marsala chicken. The chicken was a bit salty. I would suggest less salt and a thinner white wine sauce Marsala sauce. read more

Delicious food! They have lots of gluten free options and the servers were well informed of what had gluten in it to prevent issues. It's a beautiful restaurant and they allow dogs on the patio! Definitely stop by and get the gluten free pizza YUM! read more

Every side I asked for she came back and said they were out. So I settled for a side salad. I ordered the blacked salmon it was covered In what tasted like sweet and sour sauce. Too much pepper and salt on food. The fish wasn't fresh it tasted like it was on the verge of going bad. The service was awful. Beef Alfredo was the worse I've ever tried. Alfredo was flat and tasteless, and the beef was raw. The sauce turned pink from the blood in the meat. Top that with warm beer. They did comp the meal and were exceptionally nice about it, but I probably won't go back. At these prices you can't miss like this. Too loud to talk to boot. Waiter was good though. read more

There were a couple of menu items that were unavailable. The food was delicious, but a little pricey. Such a great place! Food was amazing, I've never had Italian that good before (I live in Amarillo) and the vibes were good despite how busy they were! Everything we ate was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. Mickey even asked how everything was himself despite how busy it was after the parade! Service was really good, our food came out in a timely manner, and our drinks stayed kept up. Lasagna was a 9/10, could have been plated a little better, but the taste was fantastic. The pancakes were dry, and bland. Spaghetti marinara sauce was very watery. Pizza was fantastic. The marinara that came with our appetizer was refrigerator cold. The dining room is nice, clean, and open. Good place to bring the whole family, I wouldn't be afraid to eat here again. read more

Our server "Kelton" was great, but when we moved onto the food, top shelf! I had Lasagna, I eat this dish all over the country and truly one of my favorites. This was arguably the Best I have had! The sauce was perfect, tangy, spicy and great consistency. My better half had pizza. Like most ladies she loves pizza and said this was over the top! Our friend had Shrimp Scampi and again it was amazing. The desert special was prepared table side hot Apple Pie with ice cream on a sizzling plate. AMAZING! I recommend their tasty food. I was not impressed with their service. A group of 9 of us dined on a Thursday around 1:45pm, and that must have been too late. We sat in the big dining area where a few other folks had also dined...tables were dirty, they didn't have a bus boy or anyone to clean them. Our salads came out after we asked for them, after we had received our entrees. I believe the owner was there, the cook, and another man plus our waitress. Our waitress seemed to carry the duties on her own...not quite filling our drinks often or helping with minor requests. It will take me awhile to drive back to Canyon from Amarillo for this type of service. I hope they improve. Their facility was really nice. Service was lacking. read more

Very clean,prompt service and best Italian sausage I've ever had I didn't appreciate being seated at the worst table in the restaurant. Only a quarter of the tables were being used and we were stuck in a corner next to exterior door. No reason for it at all Also the menu is so vast that everything has to be frozen. Wine list is spot on, plenty of beers and all the typical liquor options with a few unique items as well. We ordered food to go and the sizes were huge! Overall a nice option. We were not a huge fan of the Alfredo sauce. It just was a bit different than what we prefer in terms of flavor.

I had the blackened salmon salad, and WOW--it was incredible! The salmon was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the salad was fresh and flavorful. Our waiter, Chris, was absolutely amazing--super attentive, friendly, and on top of everything. I've never seen my dad give a higher tip, which says it all! I'm always on the lookout for a good Italian restaurant and found a little gem in Canyon. The restaurant is quite lovely and the ambiance is warm and welcoming. I order the manicotti with grilled chicken. The sauce was thick and lush. The serving was ample and I left completely satisfied. On top of all of that, the price was very reasonable for the quality of the food. I'll definitely be returning to this special space. The menu offered several items that were enticing. read more

Saw lots of reviews about the blackened Tomahawk Pork Chop. Flavor was great but I felt the cut was too thin (just one bone vs two like I've normally had it in other places) which made it easy to overcook, which they did. Service was great and it's a comfortable, fairly cozy place to dine. I'll go back but I won't get the pork chop. My date said her pasta dish was excellent. read more

WHAT A YUMMY SURPRISE!!! Truly amazed by the plate i received here. I got the meatloaf and fries and the prosciutto. All 3 of these pieces were delicious. Very cute and modern. I loved the decor as well. Our sever was super nice and helpful for suggestions. The manager (i believe) stopped by and asked us as well about the service and food.
