We were originally headed to Palo Duro for a hike, but the wind had other plans. We came across this little mead spot and it ended up being the perfect unexpected adventure. The indoor and outdoor seating were both so charming and relaxing, the mead flight was fantastic, and the goat cheese + honey + walnut toast? So gooood. Such a cozy little place with a great atmosphere and something different from the usual winery experience. Definitely worth the detour. read more

We always love stopping by Honey Buzz Winery whenever we visit Palo Duro Canyon. If you enjoy trying many different meads, ciders, and frozen beverages, then I recommend a flight. My favorite was the triple jam mead, followed by the queen's revenge mead. The Johnny apple is a good dry cider, not too sweet. My frozen blend of strawberry & tropical flavored mead was a little sweet for my taste. Service is always quick and friendly and the store is very clean. The food menu looks tasty too, but I haven't tried it yet. We'll be back! read more

I felt welcomed from the moment I walked in and it's very homey and comfortable ambiance. They have so much to offer from meads on tap from their meadery and guest taps, ciders and adult slushies. For $16.95 I did a mead flight trying their flavors; Queens Revenge which is a just a straight no frills honey mead. Great sweet honey flavor. I tasted of grapes. Smoke Show which the honey is smoked prior to fermentation. Nice subtle hints of smoke flavor. This was well balanced with a hint of sweet and a hint of savory. Cranberry Orange I'm always going to say yes. Nice sweet fruit flavors. My fourth pour was Johnny Apple which was OMG DELISH favorite. Yes, I'm taking a bottle home. For lunch I enjoyed their white chili stew, $9.95 for a bowl. It was well worth it, the flavors were OMG and it was very satisfying for a cold day. Any trip to the panhandle I will go out of my way to visit and support this local business. I most definitely recommend stopping. Thank you for a wonderful experience. read more

I came here with some gal pals after one of them suggested it (she's been before). We shared a charcuterie board, cheesecake, and each got our own flight of mead. I got the queen's revenge, Johnny Apple, killer bee, and cranberry orange (seasonal). They were all perfectly sweet and very rich (the honey flavor was amazing and definitely stood out). The service was great, we were checked up on and table was cleared event though we were outside. The weather was gorgeous and there were plenty of spots to sit inside and out. The prices were reasonable as well. I enjoyed this place very much and will come back again! Support local! read more

Great atmosphere and location. It's a beautiful family friendly restaurant. They have true gluten free options and keep it separate to prevent cross contamination. Despite the location and hours being off in Yelp, we were able to both find it and called to confirm they were open. Such a cute place. They also allowed us to bring our dogs into the seating / dining area which was cool, but odd, as they serve food. Maybe the laws have changed. We moved fairly quickly outside to enjoy the afternoon, patio seating and gorgeous sun dipping into the land. Wine slushy your thing? The staff suggested mixing the Sangria and Tropical Bee. So, I did and now I'm a massive fan. My partner enjoyed a Peach and later, a Honey mead. Both great. We enjoyed their massive bowl of queso as well as their goat flatbread. Also tasty with a gorgeous presentation. If you have some time, check out their adorable attached gift shop filled with all things honey. read more

This place was "buzzin'!" (Sorry, had to) on Mother's Day. The line was out the door, but we were at the counter ordering our meal within 15 min. We grabbed a table with the family (8 of us) and enjoyed the large seating area located behind the kitchen. Pros: - Food was excellent. We had salads, sandwiches, appetizers. You really can't go wrong. -Decor was clean, place had good noise level, not too quiet or too loud. We have kiddos, so when it's too quiet, I start to sweat. Opportunities: -Seating between tables is pretty tight. Chairs hit one another frequently. Rethinking a better layout will help. -They forgot my son's sandwich, but they were quick to make it and bring it out. - I had a hard cider. The pour was pretty small for the price. $6.50 for about 1/2 pint I'd say. I had asked about it but the cashier was pretty busy (which I totally understood, it was crazy busy). In summary, we'll be going back for sure. My wife and I just moved to the area, so we look forward to trying new places. Glad we visited this place. read more

This place is amazing and has so much potential but the service is lacking. This amazing drink was so good! However it is not made the same each time. Same with the food. Sometimes to die for and other times lacking with aging fruit. We have had 50% good service & 50% bad service. Bring your patience, you'll need it. It's worth the visit to sit either inside or outside. The decor is inviting and the concept and attention to details in the building and selection in products makes it work it.I would love to rate this place 5 stars, but sadly due to management and the service I just can't do it. If you are retired, self employed or simply a stay at home person come on in, they only serve a full menu until 3pm (if you're lucky.) In conclusion we were just asked to leave our seats because a party is coming in. When our drinks is were delivered to the table nothing was mentioned of this. Wow. read more

Cute little tasting room. Stopped by here on the way into Canyon to have a drink. They have a large porch but it was a little too chilly being dusk in November so we opted for a table inside. Staff was helpful in helping choose drinks. We opted for the mead flight for me and a slushy for my fiancé. Both were excellent. Table next to us got the charcuterie board that looked fantastic. Adorable gift shop next door that is worth stopping in as well. Would definitely come here again when in the area! read more

Good little spot to be able to relax and have a drink and read on a Sunday afternoon with the dogs. The ABV of the "wine" that they serve sits at a 5% across the board based off of what I have seen on their menu. The measuring standards do not meet that of the wine industry. I have grown up knowing enough about wine that a flight does not equal three 3 traditional glasses of wine. Even though they welcome well behaved dogs that are leashed, the daughter of the owners needs to lead by example with her own dog, especially in the common areas when she had to recall her own off leash dog enough times stating to her own dog that "not every dog wants to be your friend/play with you" that common sense says to use a leash. The other star being taken off is that the daughter thinks it is ok to talk loud enough that people outside of her table can clearly hear her being borderline disrespectful about her own parents (the owners) to the point I had to put my headphones in because I couldn't hear anymore of it. read more

Honey Buzz Winfrey was a fantastic little lunch spot that a friend recommended while in Canyon. The staff was absolutely fantastic. The white chili doesn't exactly hit you in the face with flavor with the first few bites, it took several spoonfuls for the flavors to really develop. The pork sliders were ok but quite small and left a lot to be desired. Overall a great experience and I will be back! read more
