Had an irritating experience with another customer, something small and silly, however! The owner Don came over and compensated us anyway and was so nice! He did not have to do that. We come because the food is always good . Well worth the wait! read more

OVR-EZE was amazing! We stopped in for breakfast while in Amarillo and everything was so good. My son ordered the Texas Egg Benedict (minus the asparagus) and loved it. My husband and I both ordered the Monte Cristo, but we asked to have it made with the challah bread from the breakfast menu instead of the ciabatta. It was hands-down the best Monte Cristo I have ever had! The challah was perfect for it and made the whole sandwich. Great food, great breakfast spot, and definitely somewhere we would come back to the next time we are in Amarillo. Highly recommend! read more

What an unfortunate name for a restaurant! Especially one dealing with eggs. Seriously. Ovaries? What were they thinking? I had the three egg Bennie. It was ok. Their house "English muffin" is large and sugary. And the Benedict also seemed to have sugar. Not "bad" but not the savory breakfast I was expecting. It's a lovely shop. Ambience was modern and nice and a minimal amount of country music. Service was professional but not much more. A man did ask us how the food was but as I was about to remark on all the sugar he made a joke about his weight and walked away. So while asking, he wasn't really open to hearing the answer. We're not local. But I wouldn't be back often if I was. But maybe that's a personal preference thing. I tend to order a savory breakfast. There's a reason I don't eat at IHOP. read more

After our waitress sat us down, she asked me if she could give my daughter some animal crackers. We happily obliged. I asked her for suggestions on 5 items that sounded good to me and helped narrow it down. The food was fantastic. The place was nice and quiet but it was also 10 in the morning on a Tuesday. read more

It took me a year but I finally made it to OVR-EZE! Hindsight shows me that I made the mistake of waiting too long to try it out! The coffee is hot and hits the spot, their breakfast portions are divine, and it has an inviting ambiance! It's a light and bright atmosphere plus the food options are plentiful, delectable, and a big selection! My French toast was so great, I still dream of it! Haha Also, Terry is a wonderful server...so kind, attentive, and helpful to the last drop! I will be back...but probably not soon enough! read more

I found this place on a recent trip to see my Dad in Amarillo. It was a nice surprise! I had the Pancake Breakfast. Eggs cooked to order, pancakes fluffy and the cheesy potatoes put it over the top. Coffee was hot and delicious and my cup stayed full! The staff were very courteous and attentive! Made sure we were taken care of through out the meal. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town. Don't hesitate to give them a shot! It's a hidden gem! read more

This is my second time here and both experiences have been amazing! The atmosphere is so nice with beautiful artistic decor all around! Our server was Trina this time around and she couldn't have been better, so friendly and helpful! She even brought my niece some animal crackers while we looked over the menu which was such a sweet touch! Unfortunately we dove into the food faster than we could take any pictures but the presentation was perfect on every dish! I highly recommend everything we had! Including the Fried green tomatoes, bacon pancakes, green chili sour cream enchilada stack, chicken fried steak & eggs, and the kids chicken and waffles. Every bite was so flavorful and had me going back for more even when I was stuffed! Incredible place to eat and top tier service! We will be back again very soon! read more

What a gem in Amarillo! The décor is beautiful, and it's clearly popular, very busy even on a weekday morning. We ordered the Drag Me through garden omelette with added avocado and the egg omelette with ham, served with cheesy potatoes and a side of French toast. Everything was absolutely delicious, (French toast side was only $5 which included half of brioche French toast bread, fruit, whipped cream, raspberry sauce and side of syrup, enjoyed every bite) and the portions were generous. Customer service was excellent as well. Highly recommended! read more

Service was very good. We had a new host. He was expanding another restaurant, but there he was very, very nice done the regular waitress she was OK. I'm glad we got the guy. She was a little bit nosy with the poor guy. Cut him some break and he'll be good. Food was good pretty decent. I had the chicken fried steak little gummy for me I would order something else if I'm ever in the area again visiting that is a nice place OK read more

Service that makes you feel like family. We had such an amazing breakfast. Even though we were transient travelers looking for a good Eggs Benedict. We found great food with even better service. When I ordered a mimosa flight, she checked my ID and saw it was my birthday, then surprised me with a birthday candied apple shooter that I could have ordered 5 more of. We had a classic eggs Benedict, the Texas green Benedict (can't remember the exact name,) and the croissant chicken & waffles (croiffle.) Don't miss the croiffle, as it tastes great and reheats even better. Solid eggs Benedict. read more

I'm a regular customer, probably been there 30 times or so. Some recent observations: 1. The new menu really has some outstanding items on it. All the new items are creative, flavorful and delicious. 2. The service is really superb. Terri is a fan-favorite, but the other servers are equally great. All are efficient, accurate, and super attentive to each customer. 3. Even the management makes a concerted effort to make sure the customers are well taken care of. Here's to another 30 visits.. read more

Food ordered not as described on menu: ordered Strawberry and goat cheese salad which comes with spinach, strawberries, walnuts, and goat cheese, and balsamic vinegar. Instead got iceberg lettuce, cabbage, snap peas, carrots, raddish, and half a waffle in the salad bowl. At least there was the cheese, walnuts, strawberries, and dressing- but not at all like described. When one of the servers came to the table with the food, he clarified wha was brought was the strawberry salad. Checked after meal on a menu that what I was presented was not as written. Major bummer. Food presentation was subpar as well, with one of the apitizers having double the amount of sauce on top as another which barely had any. The server was kind- major props to her- but it took a while after we sat down to be served. Only pluses are that the fried green tomatoes were okay, as was the coffee. Definitely going to find a new breakfast spot. read more

The place is modern and trendy. We were seated right away. The service was very good, considering our server got a 30 top table during our visit. The food for the most part was tasty and well prepared. What kept me from giving this place four stars was the fact the chicken fried steak was really tough and chewy. I'll try something else on the next visit. read more

While traveling we stayed in Amarillo Texas for a few weeks. We found this little I guess you would call it a diner which was called OVR-EZE. On the 1st day. 10/07/25 My wife had the French toast and I had the chicken and waffles. When the waffles came they had the Tennessee hot sauce on them. I did not want the sauce so they took them back. While my wife ate her French toast which she said was delicious I waited for my chicken and waffle. She was done by the time my chicken and waffle got to the table. The manager said she was sorry and would take that off of our bill. The chicken and waffle turned out to be delicious. Now an interesting fact they're waffles are made out of croissants that are smashed on a waffle grill. They are very very tasty. Our waitress Aerial was very efficient and took care of all of our needs and answered all of my questions. We thank them and said we will be back soon to try their 3 egg Benny. DAY 2: 10/08/25 I went by myself and ordered the 3 egg Benny. I really didn't want any of the sides that they offered and the waitress Hayden said she could add another poached egg. I said that's right up my alley. As you can see in the picture below there are four poached eggs on an English muffin. Now the English muffin they make right there in house and its large in size. Two slices of thick honey sweet ham was also on there with a delicious hollandaise sauce I have a top 10 list that I keep for my Benedict's that I review throughout the country. I put this Benedict in the number one spot. I based my review on taste, presentation and price. My waitress Hayden took care of all of my needs and was very pleasant and answered all of my questions. She had Chef Andrew come to my table and answer more cooking questions. He makes the oversized English muffins in house. The poached eggs are round and soft. DAY 3 10/10/25 My wife and I both went this time. I had the three egg Benny again with the extra egg on it. My wife had what they called a white breakfast pizza that had different cheeses on it. My three egg Benny tasted just as good this time as it did the time before. The 3 egg Benny (4) is priced at $15.00. The coffee was average price of $2.99 cup. My waitress, Alexis was just as attentive and pleasant as the others. While I was eating the waitress from before came to my table, saw that I was having the 3 egg Bennys again. I recommend this for other breakfast items. Sorry for the long review but there are 3 days in 1. read more

The atmosphere is very cool and we were seated immediately. Everything we ordered tasted great but a few recommendations... The biscuit could have been softer and my poached eggs were overcooked so I didn't get that awesome goo that comes running out when you cut into it(old school people know what I'm talking about) Will visit again and hope for another good meal read more

Watch your reciepts! The amount I put on mine, the tip doubled! I'm a good tipper, 25% then more was added. Manager said he would make it right ... and didnt! 2-3 days a week I would eat there. First time to visit Ovr-Eze. Sat at the bar and my view was straight into the kitchen or the television that was playing silly pet videos. Ordered unsweet tea and a chicken salad sandwich. Tea came out and it was sweet so I asked bar tender to please replace with unsweet. Tea came out and it was sweet. Again, asked for unsweet tea and what I got was unsweet tea concentrate in a glass. Seriously, could not see through the tea and it was horribly strong. Chicken salad had a ton of mayo and just wasn't anything special. French fries were good, though. Bathroom toilets need to be scrubbed down and the bathroom smelt like sewer gas. Will not be returning...what a disappointment. read more

I was here two weeks ago for breakfast. The outside of the restaurant looks great. Nice signage and it's decorated really nice. That about covers the positives. I had a 4 egg omelet and my uncle had a different omelet. I don't know for a fact that the eggs came out of a carton but I strongly suspect they were. Perhaps it was just an off day for them because everyone has them, but it was $49 for 2 omelets, 2 waters and 1 coffee. I wish I could tell you how that was broken down price wise but the receipt did not itemize anything. The waitress was friendly enough I suppose, her demeanor was dialed down by a factor of 10 when compared to the hostess staff. Ultimately, I walked away with the impression that Ovr-Eze's egg cooking skills were tantamount to their ability to spell. As with anything, your mileage may vary. read more

We received the text message saying we were in the wait list at 12:20. We were told the wait was 30 minutes. I was watching the time on the wait list web site & people ahead of us had waited 50 minutes. We ended up waiting 40 minutes. The hostess was telling people coming in 30 minutes. We heard twice that they were short staffed. We got to our table at 1:00. Terry our waitress arrived with 2 waters. And took our order immediately, which was awesome. Our food came out about 1:30. Terry was hustling, she kept the coffee filled. It felt like everyone else in the restaurant was moving at a slow pace. There was a man who greeted us while we were waiting us, I am assuming a manager of some sort. For the most of the time we were there he was at the bar talking to 2 ladies. I would hope that if your restaurant is that short staffed that you would be helping out, not chatting it up with patrons. This was my 2nd time to visit. Had it been my first I doubt I would go back. The first time we ate at the bar, they were just as busy that day as far as the number of people waiting around. Our food that time came out quickly. I had the waffle this time, it was super crunchy around the edges, don't know if that is their style or not. The first time we went the person next to me who had it had lots of berries on hers. Mine had about 2 teaspoons of blueberries & 2 small pieces of strawberries. No black berries. The time on our check is 1:53. Terry gets 5 stars, the restaurant 2. read more

Great breakfast burrito. Ask for homemade salsa. It's bomb. Service is great. Love the new place!

Never had a wonderful experience at this place. Every visit was either poor service to messed up order, Today we went during Sunday rush. Waited around 30 minutes for table. No Big deal, but when we were there for an hour and a half and still didn't have our food I was done. When I asked for our ticket for our drinks because we were leaving the manager came out and said that our food would be right out, did we want her to box it up. When I looked at her she said " Hey I've been dealing with frowns all day". No explanation to why it was taking so long. No apologies, just deal with it. Only when we sent the check back because it was wrong did the server come back and said they gave us a discount...sad thing is...The food can be good...if you ever get it. read more

Worth the visit to see Ms Teri/George! She is awesome!!! There were a few things we didn't enjoy but it was overshadowed by the great service. We were offered replacements but everyone else had plenty of delicious food to fill the void. Bonus was that they took the item off of our ticket for us. It is also a really cool atmosphere! Hits: pancake bacon, croi-ffles, potatoes and cheesy potatoes, Nutella pancakes, and bennys....oh and the brûléed grapefruit!!! Misses: frittata, chicken fried steak read more

I was pleasantly surprised with the ambiance of the location! The place looked great! My daughter and I got our table in a family fashion. Our waitress was great no complains at all. Food actually came out like the pictures! That's a great plus! My only complain, if you can even call it that, is on the Monte Christo. I'm just going to put this out there....if you are looking to eat authentic chicken and waffles then this is not the place for you. My husband and I went because he wanted to try chicken and waffles. I've had them before, he has not, and he still hasn't had them after eating breakfast here. I called ahead to carify they served chicken and waffles, since it was not on the menu but on the website. The host who answered the phone said let me check the menu and confirmed yes it is on the menu. Instead, my husbad was served a croissant that had been pressed into a waffle maker with chicken on top. The chicken was delightful, super juicy, and delicious! The croissant was good, too. Don't get me wrong, it was just kind of an unusual experience. I ordered the French toast which was an odd item, as well. It was so thick, like a tringle that is two inches wide/tall. It was delicious, just not the typical look to the meal. If your heart is set on the traditional way of things than I would suggest to keep searcing maps and drive on, if you like the quirky side of life pull over and grab a table. You will be in for a treat because like I said it wasnt bad just different. Our server was great, friendly, and attentive. We just wish there had been more clarification on the menu items, thats all. I personally wanted BBQ, we were visiting Texas after all, but the Hubs won rock, paper, scissors lol read more
