This place was packed on a Saturday afternoon! We were so glad we there early enough that we did not have to wait to get seated. After 9 AM, the restaurant had a line out the door. The restaurant had a casual diner feel to it! Our server was friendly, but he was overwhelmed with all the tables assigned to him. The food was not great at all. I ordered the 2-eggs breakfast with sausage patties. I had scrambled eggs, but they were dry and bland. The sausage patties tasted like what I would get at a free hotel breakfast! It was not good. The side of broccoli that came with the breakfast was so gross. It tasted like they microwaved it, and slapped some margarine on it. Needless to say, I did not finish my meal! read more

Kind of what you expect with a chain breakfast spot in a small town. The food was just okay. Service was still really good. It does get really packed during the late breakfast time. read more

Jimmy's Egg - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Amarillo, Texas

Found Jimmy's Egg on Yelp as we were passing thru Amarillo en route to Phoenix last Monday. So glad I chose well! Was greeted by several workers. Felt so welcomed! We picked our table & Andrew took our orders of coffee & a veggie omelet & a French Toast w/ scrambled eggs for me. So so yummy. Would definitely recommend Jimmy's Egg! It's such a cute place with great breakfast & very clean! Would stop in again while passing thru Amarillo! read more

Jimmy's Egg - What was left of my Cinnamon Crunch French Toast Combo w/ Scrambled Eggs. Not much left! Yum! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Amarillo, Texas

Fake, mass produced food. They don't use real butter, creamer or syrup. Everything tastes like it came from a box or bag. Coffee is weak and tasteless. We left most of the food uneaten. The only thing real was the eggs. One and done with this joint! read more

Jimmy's Egg - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Amarillo, Texas

We were driving through Amarillo and came across this place on the way. Jimmy's Egg is like a nice version of IHOP and the service is what set it miles apart from your typical conventional breakfast joints. Angela was our server and an absolute angel. I really don't even remember the specifics of my breakfast but I would totally go back for the excellent customer service we received from Angela. I am not sure what my partner had but I had been driving for over 8 hours on and off and was really HANGRY so I ordered a little feast. I tried the pancakes, turkey sausage, eggs over easy, hashbrown, and an infinite amount of coffee that tasted better with each refill. I think the food was decent but the warm hospitality from the front of the house until the end of the meal made this place an excellent stop for breakfast when you are short on time! read more

The food was really good!! The waitress was excellent and the lady taking reservations at the front entrance was excellent as well. This was the first time my wife and I ate here and we will definitely be back. Here is the menu from today 02/15/2026. read more

Jimmy's Egg - Menu from 02/15/2026. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Amarillo, Texas

This busy restaurant promptly served hot fresh food. Our server went above and beyond to ensure we had a great brunch. Please add a bit larger container of gravy for the biscuit & gravy-- there was not quite enough to cover the biscuit. The eggs over medium were perfectly cooked. The only criticism I had was they need to replace the glasses for their beverages. They are plastic and too worn. This was our 3rd meal there, and we will return in future! read more

This place is always a good choice. The menu is not as big as before but it has pretty much something for everybody. The service was great and attentive. We got there about 7am on Saturday and by the time we left it was filling up pretty fast. It's not the big of a restaurant but it was super clean and nice. I will say the iced coffee was a premade mix and tasted of that fake sweetener taste. Not that it was bad but just an fyi read more

Service was excellent, food was good, only complaint was that it was all just like Luke warm. Only thing hot was the coffee. I would still give this restaurant a 4 star read more

Called and ordered to go. Arrived and my food was ready for me! It was delicious and will visit again for sure read more

The service was great- the food not so much. My guacamole was not fresh or real- Tasted like it was a mix or something that came out of a pouch. It was also a lot on the toast. My daughter said her eggs Benedict were too covered with sauce that she couldn't eat the rest of it. The cinnamon roll looked good though. read more

Waitress was a sweetheart. Ordered eggs medium. Cooked perfectly. Got the corned beef hash. Big chunks not like the Hormel cat foot looking hash most restaurants offer. Bright atmosphere. Great experience read more

Ordered the western omelette with tomatoes and fruit. The tomatoes were wilted. The fruit was not sweet. The bathroom toilet was dirty. This was between seven and eight in the morning on Saturday, 28 June. The service was so so. We used to eat here more often, but we won't be anymore. read more

I don't know where these reviewers ate, but I don't think it was here. The service was fine. The breakfast was meh. Toast tasted weird. Omelet was dry and tasteless. Waffle was gummy. No actual dairy products, buttery spread, non dairy creamer. Scared to try the "espresso" drinks. Not going back. read more

Nice breakfast place. I would return when traveling Az To Ar. I had 2 eggs over easy, extra toasted hash browns and a cinnamon roll. And a Frappuccino type of drink-ice coffee. Good prices. I highly recommend. read more

Service and food. Busy place in Amarillo. Eggs Benedict are amazing and the patty metal I gotta try sometime

It's been months since I first saw the signs that this place was being built and going to open but every time I drove past it they weren't open yet, I think because of employee shortages and other factors, some of which might have been related to covid and some not. I finally found out they had opened so I stopped by there a few days ago to try it out and was very pleasantly impressed. Their prices are not what I would call cheap and they don't have a special senior menu although they do have a kids menu. I decided to order the Berry Berry Waffle combo which came with two eggs over easy and bacon. It was delicious. See the picture I posted. The berries on top of the waffle were more generous than most places. The eggs were a little more runny than a lot of people would like but it didn't bother me. If you don't like uncooked portions you might want to get them over medium instead of easy. The bacon was thin but cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. I'm not a big waffle fan but their waffle was very good. They don't give you real butter which was a disadvantage and that little tiny container of fake butter barely covered 1/4 of the waffle but it was still good because of the berries, whipped cream and syrup. My waitress was super nice and checked with me often to make sure I didn't need anything else, which I didn't. I will definitely go back to try another combination and do recommend it to others. read more

The food was excellent. Each time we went while in Amarillo. I wish we had one of these in Cumming Georgia.

Excellent breakfast food; we had eggs (cooked right), patty sausage, real corned beef, and perfect hash browns. Service was good; prompt and checked back appropriately. There was one item that could be improved - the fruit. My fruit side dish was melons and grapes; they appeared to have been sitting in refrigerator for awhile and did not have much taste. The ambiance was also nice; clean and quiet with nice decor. We would definitely eat here again. read more
