This is a really fun tasting room off the beaten path. Don't be fooled, you literally have to take this semi-paved road back to this facility. The wines use Texas grown grapes and are very good. It's a fun atmosphere inside and has a nice patio overlooking the countryside. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is a beautiful property at the edge of the Palo Duro Canyon, in close proximity to Canyon and Amarillo, Texas. This is a winery, as compared to a vineyard, so there are no grape vines on-site. It has a relaxing patio with small tables and, if you time it right, you can sip wine while watching the sunset. The friendly hostess gave us tastes of a few wines inside before we settled upon a bottle to take outdoors to the patio. (It was so good, we also purchased another bottle for later consumption!). The winery also offers formal tastings of four wines for $22, but we opted against these because of the price point. The property is down a long and private road in an upscale neighborhood, and is away from traffic. One thing made this a less than perfect experience. After we had been sitting there for a while, another patron asked the owner if he could pipe the music that was playing inside to the outdoor patio area. He complied and our peaceful time watching the evolving sunset was overtaken by loud music that wasn't to our liking. (I'm not sure that they noticed but quite a few patrons, including us, left soon after). For any RVers out there, this winery participates in Harvest Hosts. This host takes their participation seriously & even provides a brochure specifically for HH guests. (This was our 10th HH visit and the only time we received such a brochure). Make sure to make your reservation through HH to ensure that the gates will be open and to learn where to park. They have room for many vehicles, and the lot is quite flat and behind a locked gate. It felt secure. I believe that there were 6 RVs of various types and sizes the night we were there We saw wild deer on-site in the evening. (The canyon also has rattlesnakes, but we didn't see any on-site). The host also allows you to fill up water from their well. One additional negative, but this is on another RV guest, not the winery. The RV allowed their dog to run wild, unleashed. The dog scared me as it came into our area, unattended. I was bitten by a leashed dog a few years ago and continue to be apprehensive around unfamiliar dogs. The same dog also pooped in our area -- a fact that the owners were oblivious to. We recommend this winery - whether you have an Rv or not!

Few places on earth make me as happy as Canyon, TX. Naturally, then, a winery in one of my favorite places on earth is a favorite by extension. They didn't have to try very hard to provide one of the best views in the country (you know, on account of the panoramic Canyon). Would recommend trying a wine flight, but be warned: this is not a "tasting" flight. It's 4 generous pours of your choice. Their Chardonnay was just lovely (this coming from the girl who avoids white wine almost completely). The Mourvèdre is a very interesting sip. Truly. It takes you on a journey, but not one that I'd want to follow all the way to the end of the glass (just personal preference). The Lil Hoss was pretty great. Expect West TX hospitality; it isn't gushy, but it is delightfully genuine and unique. I know it's not reasonable to expect grapes to be grown in this climate/terrain, but I was a little bummed that the juice is imported. Have no fear though, that amazing Canyon water is used to ferment it.

We stopped in on a blustery day, it's a super cute hang out with a couple space heaters which made it better! They let you in your own food so that's always nice. The bartender was friendly and helpful. Here's the the deal, the wines, in my opinion, were quite disappointing. We tried a flight of 4 and my parents had 3 different ones and they all were dry, tasted similar in the sense that they taste like a wine that has been open for a while. I was bummed that they didn't have an actual tasting option. When I think "tasting" I usually think of a sampling of 1 oz pours for $5 or so. Unfortunately the only option was a $20 flight of wine that wasn't very enjoyable for me. I realize that everyone has different tastes and wine can be subjective, this just wasn't for our group. If you do find that you like the wines it's a nice place to visit. They also offer veteran discounts which is cool.

Must see when you are in Canyon Texas. Met the love of my life here! Fruity wine and scenic views!

This is a relaxing place to unwind and try a few Texas wines. My husband and I each tried a flight, four generous pours for $22. The bartender chose bold reds for my husband, and he liked three out of the four (Little Hass was best). The ones I tried impressed me, for Texas grapes anyway. They offer many different options (and the bartender had a ton of restaurant ideas for us). They offer charcuterie boxes, and the place is dog friendly.

A winery in Texas? Damn right, and somewhat hidden in the Panhandle. After hiking one day at PDC, we noticed a Bar Z billboard, when exiting the park. A winery in Canyon? Wife and I with perplexed looks, googled directions. It's a quaint, peaceful location, off a County Road, hidden in a nicer subdivision. You can't go inside (yep, Covid rules), but the outside patio, and tables in the grassy area, offer excellent views. NO food, but they are super cool with you ether bringing your own (which we did), or ordering pizza for delivery. We were pleasantly surprised with the wine. A Pinot Noir in Texas? Yep, and it was pretty good. You'll be in the $30-$40 range, after tax for a bottle (bottles only, due to Covid), but there are free water bottles on the patio. Dog friendly, and in fact, the Owner's dog (Hahn, I believe), made friends with my daughter. One minor complaint: It was Chicago cold outside on the evening we visited, and those really nice heaters outside, were not on for some reason. Who knows... Would I return? Yes, but on a slightly warmer day. Definitely a hidden gem, in Canyon.

I'm so glad my friend and I stopped at this winery while we were in town! The directions to get here take you down a long road to the winery that has a nice view over the canyon. We arrived at the winery late in the day, and it was just us and one man working which I'm assuming was the owner. He was so funny and had us laughing a lot! He recommended the Riesling which I really enjoyed, and even got a bottle to go! The view of the sunset from the outside was so nice after a long day of hiking. Very relaxing! Would definitely return, hopefully when we are able to do tastings again. I would love to try the wines this place has to offer!

Nice winery. Hate signs when you get close but the winery itself doesn't have the hate signs.

The cocktails were excellent and the food was delicious. I ordered the Pecan Goldie, served in a martini glass--a sweeter take on an Old Fashioned. Next was the Bomb City Cosmo, another refreshing cocktail also served in a martini glass. We ordered appetizers and dinner, and everything was great. The menu comes from Toscana Italian restaurant upstairs, and we enjoyed every dish. For appetizers, we had the spinach artichoke dip and pretzel bites--very creamy, and the pretzel bites were warm and delicious. We also tried two salads: the BLT Wedge Salad and the Shaved Brussels Sprout Parmesan Salad. Both were hearty and very filling. We finished with the chocolate pistachio cake, which was a delightful dessert. Happy Hour: Their website advertises $6 liquor Monday through Friday from 5-7 PM. However, the bartender didn't seem to honor it, saying happy hour is upstairs--though that's not what the website states. He did make it right by charging only for two drinks, which equaled the price of the three drinks that should have been on happy hour. Hopefully they begin honoring the posted happy hour pricing. Overall, this was an excellent experience, and I look forward to returning. Evelyn, our server, was very attentive and kind throughout our visit.
