This review is LONG overdue but I was in the middle of a business trip traveling across country when I ran into the investors of this badass distillery in Amarillo, Texas. I have to emphasize that not much is worth visiting in Amarillo, but this distillery needs to be on the top of your list as far as places to stop and explore. It will liven up any old boring road trip. This is a relatively new distillery to town and product line as it had just opened in late 2019 before Covid made its grand entrance. And despite COVID having a huge impact on their lives, they made it a mission to not just survive but thrive. Trust me when I say, their spirit is resilient and "spirits" even stronger :) The Bomb city vodka itself is clean, crisp, and refreshing. Mix it with any of your well known vodka cocktails and you have a bomb ass drink though. Centered in the heart of downtown Amarillo, the entrepreneurs behind this brand really poured their heart into this alcohol. Their location alone speaks of the history in this town and their product helps amplify it further recognizing the great service their town has had to the military industry regarding ammunition. (Which I had no clue of!!!) Upon meeting these incredible gentleman and hearing their story, I was invited for a personal tour of the distillery. It may not seem like much, but the red brick building tucked away downtown is contemporarily designed to be a sustainable business in their community. It's simple design really amplified their prized Bomb statue sitting just outside the walls. Still tucked away behind the entryway is a cozy front tasting room with a creatively designed bar to appeal to all drinkers. Their walls are filled with memorabilia and cool trinkets you can purchase upon visiting along with plenty of bottles of freshly distilled vodka to return home with. *Ask them for their updated bottle, it comes with a cool new function* YOU GOTTA VISIT TO SEE IT FOR YOURSELF!!! If you are kind enough they will show you where they store their alcohol and package it, maybe even allow you to pour some for yourself. But the real magic happens in the back room where their recycled and updated stills truly produce the winning product. If you venture upstairs you will find additional seating and room to venture about as you mingle with the crowd & your friends. I highly recommend you check this place out. They are truly invested in your experience and will make everyone feel like a VIP upon entrance to their distillery. Maybe it is a Texan thing, but you can't help but feel right at home here.

The proceeds go the help homeless women and children in crisis, a cause much needed in this area. After looking around for almost an hour, i went to check out with my blue bag of books. They informed me that they stopped doing it about a month ago. Wish they had a sign saying so, i couldve saved myself some time. Everything there is over priced for what its worth. To fill your bag full of books for $5 was really the only good deal there. I wont be back to shop here and it sucks because it used to be my favorite place to go book shopping. I see the blue bags are still being sold, but what's the purpose of that now?
