We got our wine and ended up having to sit in the back of the tasting room, as far away as possible, just to get away from the noise, but never really escaped it. It was a cloudy, windy, and chilly day, so we couldn't sit outside. Unfortunately, the wine itself wasn't particularly impressive either. Then, while we were sitting there, we started smelling cigarette smoke. We realized the owner was sitting in a recliner next to the TV smoking a cigarette, seemingly with little awareness of how it was affecting the customers. The girl working behind the bar was very sweet and friendly, and it was obvious that none of this was really within her control. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was clearly being set by the owner. The whole experience honestly felt less like visiting a winery and more like drinking mediocre wine in my deaf grandpa's living room. We really wanted to enjoy this little Texas winery, but unfortunately, the atmosphere and overall experience left a lot to be desired.
