My kids wanted to try out the boba and they loved it. I tried one of the matcha cakes, it was good.

This Feng Cha location was super cute and clean. The drive thru wasn't working the day we came so we had to go inside to order/get drinks. I got my usual overflowing grapefruit drink and it was very refreshing and yummy. The guy who took our order was a little hard to understand as his speaking wasn't clear or loud but he got everything right and was helpful when explaining drinks to my friend who doesn't drink boba often.

Awesome bubble tea place! Interior is really nice. The staff is really sweet and friendly too! Ive gotten two drinks and a cake here. My first drink was the jasmine apple tea one it had green apple bits and they recommended mango poppings in it. I really enjoyed the crunchy apple texture in the bubble tea surprisingly. Second drink I got was the grapefruit tea, this one was refreshing and not too sweet. They also put a lot of fresh grapefruit in it which I enjoyed instead of artificial syrup. I also got their strawberry princess cloud cake and let me tell you it was so gouda. Sponge was fluffy, not too sweet, and drowning in whip cream and strawberry sauce. Chomp chomp chomp! Def recommend this place for a good dose of boba.

My kiddo was introduced to bubble tea when visiting her aunt in Dallas and fell in love with it - so we paid this place a visit and it did not disappoint! The atmosphere in this place is just wow! The vibes are amazing - I want this for my office! The staff was patient, very professional and efficient! We will most definitely be back!

My kiddo loves Boba tea and this is our favorite place in Amarillo to get it. I love the vibe of this place - the service is always fast and friendly. For the people who just use their drive thru - they are missing out on one of the best features of this cool gem on Gem Lake Road!

When I walked in, the place was absolutely packed with TTUHSC or TTU Vet Med students who were celebrating finishing their final classes for the year. It was quite busy with a large line in front of me, and since I was staying for a while, I was not in a rush. I ordered a lavender latte, and after waiting just over 15 minutes behind the gaggle of people who ordered before me, my hot beverage was ready. I really liked the cup they served it in. It had a cute mountain gradient with their logo on top. The coffee itself was pretty good. It was not anything groundbreaking, but I enjoyed it for what it was. Having to briefly hop on a call with my boss, I went out to their small outdoor patio and took the call. It was also a pretty decent spot for getting some work done. They serve a ton of different options, and it is probably a popular stop for people in the surrounding medical district to get a quick coffee boost. There were also plenty of people drinking beers and mimosas when I came in, celebrating their semester coming to a close at 9:30 in the morning, so good for them. You love a catch all spot. Ever since my first adventure to Amarillo, I have made a point to visit Palace Coffee Co. This place has always been there for me, and I have always thought they do a pretty bang-up job. I had not been back to Amarillo in a few years. After graduating college, there was not much reason to make the trip until I started dating my girlfriend, whose family lives in Amarillo. Wanting to be present and involved with her family meant making the drive up from Austin, a 7+ hour trek that feels like one for the history books. Since I was back in town, revisiting Palace felt like an easy decision. They have never done me wrong. I have always liked this café. It has great energy, solid music, and a clean space. The darker, almost matte black aesthetic was comforting back when I was still in school and visiting Amarillo. I had gotten work done here before, so while working remotely during this trip, Palace felt like the right place to be productive. We arrived on a Wednesday morning. I logged onto the Wi-Fi, plugged into one of their outlets, and got to work. My girlfriend was there finishing up some schoolwork for Texas Tech, so it was shaping up to be a productive morning. When we ordered, she got a cappuccino with chocolate, and I ordered a lavender latte with oat milk. I also grabbed one of their cinnamon twists for breakfast. Not long after, our drinks were brought to our table. From where we were sitting, we could see the roasting, packaging, and preparation of coffee for distribution in the back, which was a really cool view. There was also a new barista being trained on different coffee methods, which was nice to see. As for my lavender oat milk latte, it was good. I genuinely think Palace makes some of the best lattes in Amarillo, and I still have not found another place in town that tops them. That said, I am not sure if it was nostalgia or just an off day, but it was not quite as good as I remembered. The espresso did not feel as strong or forward as usual. It was not bad at all, and they still did a great job, but I remember it being more comparable to some of my favorite coffee shops across Texas. This time, it felt just a step below that memory. That said, it was still very good, and it could have easily been an off day or my own palate. The cinnamon twist was big, filling, and excellent. I liked it, my girlfriend liked it, and everyone was happy. Palace clearly knows what they are doing and how to create a great experience alongside a great latte. For that reason alone, it remains a must-stop when visiting Amarillo. RIYL: coffee in the Yellow City

I always find it interesting how many medium sized cities have a localized coffee chain that is so deeply rooted in the community. In Round Rock, it is Lamppost. In Amarillo, it is Roasters. There are quite a few Roasters locations in Amarillo, but the true OG is located off Georgia Street. I got there around 8:30 in the morning and it was capital B busy. Every table except one was occupied and the drive thru was wrapping around the building. By the time I got inside, I only had a short wait before ordering. I ordered a simple vanilla latte with oat milk in a medium size, along with a pumpkin spice muffin. For how busy it was, I was expecting to wait a while, but they churned drinks out pretty quickly. The barista even signaled to me to come grab the drinks for my girlfriend and me because I did not believe they had been made that fast. The coffee itself was pretty good. It leans on the sweeter side and is more focused on flavor than being espresso forward. It is clear why this place is such a staple in Amarillo. I also really liked that they had coffee sleeves that looked like Christmas sweaters and flannels for the season. It was a cute touch. It is a cute space and feels pretty traditional. One random thing I noticed was the pictures of Ronald Reagan on the walls. I do not know the reason or if it is some sort of long running joke, but it exists, along with books about Reagan scattered around the shop. There is only one single use bathroom, so on a busy morning it can take a bit if you need to use it. Every day, Roasters offers a coffee of the day on drip. I went to another location later in the week and tried it there as well, and it was good too. I think Roasters is a great option for coffee in the area and proves why it has been a staple for Amarillo residents since the 1990s. Regardless of the Reaganomics for whatever reason, Roasters can trickle down some coffee. RIYL: coffee and pictures of Ronald Reagan
