My daughter sent me some money for my birthday and told me to get some cake. I was at Fuzzy's yesterday afternoon having some breakfast tacos and I remembered about the Uptown Sweet Shoppe being in the same Center so I stopped in and got a couple of cupcakes, one chocolate and one German chocolate. They were both wonderful. I'm usually not too impressed with most cakes and cupcakes from any place that isn't home made and these were absolutely wonderful. The buttercream frosting was spot-on, creamy and delicious, just the right amount of sweetness. The girl even told me their frosting wasn't overly sweet and I see why she mentioned that. It was a perfect match with the rich moist chocolate cake. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that the case that used to have cinnamon rolls was missing. I mentioned it to the girl because I remembered how good their cinnamon rolls were. She said they didn't sell cinnamon rolls anymore which was disappointing. She mentioned a new owner took over last October. Whoever she is she's doing it right, cinnamon rolls are not. I can get those at Kind House Bakery or Girasol Bakery. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the girl answered my questions cheerfully. She forgot to mention their cupcakes were so delicious I can't wait to go back and get another. The shop was adorable!! Loved the decor and style, the tea and greeting cards for sale were so cute. The cashier was very friendly, and there were lots of gluten free, vegan, and sugar free options, as well as regular options as well. Day old treats are always a great alternative to fully priced fresh ones, so that addition was appreciated. Only critique is that the cookies were a little overpriced; it was $10 for one regular s'mores cookie and one chocolate gluten free and vegan cookie. They were good cookies, but not incredibly memorable. Regardless, would definitely recommend and return! read more

This is the second time I have been to this establishment, each location once and each time I was not greeted in a friendly manner at all, whatsoever, or acknowledged, I was a first person to speak and the only person other than the person working in the counter in the building, which I find odd that they couldn't acknowledge me the first time the cookies were amazing so that's why I decided to return to the second location because it is closer to me and convenient and I was wanting to get a cookie to surprise my coworker. Stopped in on a road trip because they popped under "vegan bakery" in Yelp and we were in the mood for carbs (Hey! It's a vacation! Don't judge!) Adorable shop, nice ambience, friendly staff. We were disappointed that the customer before us had purchased all the vegan cupcakes, but we enjoyed the vegan cookies: chocolate/chocolate chip, regular chocolate chip, monster cookie, and this treat I can't remember the name of: two cookies with vanilla icing in between (they can make that with any cookies). The cookies were fresh from the oven and still gooey...so good. But here's the reason for the five star: she offered to whip up our choice of vanilla or chocolate vegan cupcake and then text us when they were ready! We shopped around (including at the adorable bookstore next door), got the text, and picked up our cupcakes, packaged for the road. We ate them for dinner (don't tell our doctor!), and they were excellent. We'll definitely stop by the next time we're in town! read more

We had a cinnamon roll and the best banana bread at Palace Coffee in Canyon, TX. Saw they were from Uptown Sweet Shoppe so the next day we drove to Amarillo to check it out. Really well designed space. Got a loaf of the bread, a cinnamon roll, an orange roll, bread pudding (husband from New Orleans and it looked too good to pass up), and a little coconut cream pie.
