If you order part of the proceeds go to a local charity!! Love this! As a side note, 8/24 is national waffle day so this weekend they have all kinds of cool stuff planned! Go if you have the chance.

Upon entering, the friendly girl at the counter was occupied, and one of the bakers and possibly owners came out to take care of me so I wouldn't have to wait! Talk about awesome customer service. Plenty of poptarts, cupcakes, etc. to pick from. I chose the Very Berry Strawberry and Snickers Cupcake. I do t want to embellish or over do it... but I'm not kidding when I say these may be the best 2 d@@n cupcakes I have ever had!!! They explode with flavor in your mouth. The strawberry was vivid, the sweet but not overly sweet, the cake and the cream were extremely creamy and moist! The Snickers cupcakes.... Jesus took the wheel on this one, lol. It's insanely good. Little sweeter than the Strawberry but so tasty! The frosting again was perfect in consistency. The flavor of caramel, Snickers, and I think a little peanut butter absolutely lights up your taste buds!!!! If you are in Amarillo...heck Texas hah....you need to make a pitstop here and try these cupcakes. It is so clear why they won Cup Cake Wars. Absolutely fantastic....and the best part, they kept their prices reasonable at $2.85!!!!!

But compared to what you can get for the same price at other spots in town they are on the pricey side. Something that really irks me is that they have started charging for water in a cup. The last time I went I got water is a reusable plastic cup and I got charged 25 cents for it. I'm just like, "really guys? You're going to charge us for water?" As mentioned, the food is solid and they have decent menu. The ambiance is bright and comfy. The music is the right volume. Something that I find odd is that they have different music in the kitchen than they do in the dinning area. There is a bar set up if you want a drink. They also have several TVs with various shows on. It's a good set up. Ultimately, I'll be back. But I'll also complain again about how expensive it is.

If you're bacon squeamish you might wanna hit the back button now and carry on your lives thinking this glorious breakfast meat should be as rigid as a doctor's office tongue depressor. There's terms opposite of crispy like soft and even my favorite limp. Say it with me folks; LIMP BACON! LIMP BACON! So, the GF and I are on a road trip to pick up little Rooster (now 14) in New Mexico. Second day we hit this Waffle House for driving fuel. We were the only diners; sat next to the kitchen. Waffle and limp bacon for me please! Told the waitress but I still watched and stopped the chef from putting the iron on it. Flip it now!!! Actually, was still a bit overcooked for my taste but it paired well with the waffle. GF's eggs over medium, hashbrowns, and raisin toast met her approval too. Good breakfast on the cheap is what Waffle House is all about!

Our waitress took the time out to explain the menu items and recommend her favorites and when the food arrived at lightning speed, we realized that their famous "silver-dollar" pancakes were actually bigger than our faces! Worst instance now making me leave this review...and not coming back. Started off just standing waiting to be seated, not even in the door because of a group of people. Said they were a big party made sense why it may be hard to get in. Should of just left then. Lackluster attention from staff for everyone that came in after that group. Saw one couple even immediately be seated though after waiting 20 min with 3 people ahead of us and another group behind. (Happened to know the waitress apparently) Saw one table just up and leave due to being ignored and waiting on ticket to the point they left some cash and up and left in a very bad mood. Got told multiple times a 10-15 min wait due to tables needing cleaned off. There were 4 open tops that were empty throughout restaurant, the whole time and then another 3 opened up while waiting. Then was told 20-30 min wait due to the kitchen being backed up. At that point we just up and left combined with the VIP treatment of people being able to skip ahead of not 1 or 2 but 4 other groups of only 2 to 4 people with at least 5 or 6 open tables. I don't leave reviews often and do for great experiences and bad experiences this was one of the worst. The waitresses were clueless high school or 20 somethings not wanting to actively work and instead argue over whose fault it was a table left or why people would have their name written down and instead would leave due to the treatment of even just being seated, but somehow it's the kitchens fualt. 10/10 do not recommend and don't bother.
