Fun atmosphere. Great aguas frescas! The horchata is great. I also stop by here before going to the taco stand.

Changed my life. Simply the best dessert I've ever had. Loved the red cup thing. Strongly recommend and would return.

The cashier was very friendly, and there were lots of gluten free, vegan, and sugar free options, as well as regular options as well. Day old treats are always a great alternative to fully priced fresh ones, so that addition was appreciated. Only critique is that the cookies were a little overpriced; it was $10 for one regular s'mores cookie and one chocolate gluten free and vegan cookie. They were good cookies, but not incredibly memorable. Regardless, would definitely recommend and return!

They were both wonderful. I'm usually not too impressed with most cakes and cupcakes from any place that isn't home made and these were absolutely wonderful. The buttercream frosting was spot-on, creamy and delicious, just the right amount of sweetness. The girl even told me their frosting wasn't overly sweet and I see why she mentioned that. It was a perfect match with the rich moist chocolate cake. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that the case that used to have cinnamon rolls was missing. I mentioned it to the girl because I remembered how good their cinnamon rolls were. She said they didn't sell cinnamon rolls anymore which was disappointing. She mentioned a new owner took over last October. Whoever she is she's doing it right, cinnamon rolls are not. I can get those at Kind House Bakery or Girasol Bakery. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the girl answered my questions cheerfully. She forgot to mention their cupcakes were so delicious I can't wait to go back and get another. I'm upping my previous review from 4 stars to 5.

Thankfully, they close on Sunday, allowing us to find this wonderful little gem Girasol Café and Bakery. We had sandwiches on this stop, I had the ham and cheese on a Japanese roll, called the aloha, and my wife had the turkey avocado with homemade chips. Both sandwiches were prepared to perfection. I highly recommend. We also procured several pastries, including an apricot empanada that is baked not fried. Slightly warm, with a cup of coffee it was over-the-top delicious. We took away a lemon square and a granola caramel bar (I forget what the name was) but it didn't make it home, again, unexpectedly delicious. The cinnamon roll was calling feverishly for me, but unfortunately, I didn't try at this time. But the next trip to Amarillo is sooner rather than later so we can make another trip to Girasol Café and Bakery. I can't end this review without mentioning how friendly and accommodating the staff are. We we interacted with at least three, and I can say I truly felt I was appreciated as a customer at this place. Each one of them demonstrated a genuine interest in us and the enjoyment of their preparations of our food. The place is small, but on nice days they can double in size with their outside patio

While we were able to eat quickly, the food was meh and the outdoor eating area smelled like sh*t so we relocated inside. I ordered biscuits and gravy with jalapeño bacon. I LOVED the jalapeño bacon. But neither the biscuits nor the gravy tasted good. The biscuits were more like crackers--hard rather than fluffy. And biscuits (plural) is a bit misleading because it's one biscuit sliced in half and soaked in gravy. Chick-Fil-A makes tastier biscuits. But we visited this place on a Sunday and, unfortunately, Chick-Fil-A was closed. It comes with eggs, but I didn't eat the eggs because they looked like the powdered variety instead of real, whole eggs. My husband wanted a croissant but was told it would take 30 minutes to bake. Maybe we're impatient, but that seemed unreasonable for a "bakery" that had been open for a few hours at that point. So he settled for the smothered burrito. He didn't like that concotion either. The passionfruit teas we ordered were small but good, but not good enough for a return visit. $35 wasted.

I mean omg from the first sip to the last. Even the damn ice was good. XD (Not to mention that incredibly satisfying crunch to the créme brûlée... so fancy I decided to look up the accent marks for créme brûlée.) Also the saltiness to this drink is... perfecto. OK. Enough about the drink. (The Thai tea was good too, but don't get double boba unless you're really committed. XD) The ambience was amazing: gentle jazz around the holidays, soft lighting, clean, beautiful, and the seating! So comfy and posh. All this on top of the obvious... if you're through Amarillo, I did not know this, but apparently it's not uncommon for the whole region to smell like pee because of the cattle industry. And this place is a glorious respite from the pee smell. And yes, the service was spot-on. I got the app which gave me 20% off my first app order. Then I reordered my boba for my daughter and she glanced at the cup and knew what to order from the labels. And now I'm 20 minutes into a review and my brain is still buzzing from the sugar rush. XD Highly recommended.
