I got a Choc-a-maca bowl and added chocolate protein powder. The medium size is pretty hefty, so if you want a light breakfast or snack go with the 8oz. I came early on a Saturday and they weren't busy. I got my order within 5 minutes. The fruit was very fresh. I really like the chocolate granola and banana + strawberry combination. I got my order to go, but seems like a cool place to hang out and enjoy your order. They have a few games at their tables. read more

Great açaí place in Amarillo. They were kind enough to check the ingredients on the gluten free sourdough to see if I could have it as avo toast, and sadly it had egg white powder in it, so that was a no for me. The to go bowls could really be deeper, because once the lid is removed the toppings like coconut and almonds and strawberries start falling off onto your lap. We were craving Açaí on our cross country drive and this was the closest to where we were- but I'm so glad we went. There was no wait, Our order was taken quickly, and we received our food within 5 minutes of ordering. We got the Choco Maca and the almond berry bowls. Love this place they have the best Pitaya all the fruits are fresh. The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 is because it takes forever to get your bowl. They do have games to play but if you are in a rush Beware! It takes a while but it is worth the wait it is super Yummy glad I stopped by! read more

So many vegan options-thank you! Avocado toasts were great and healthy option. Tried cocowhip for the first time and it was interesting for sure. The iced coffee is good-happy it was made with almond milk, but consider opting without the agave, since it's super sweet. Wish we could have tried the acai bowls or oatmeal but they were closed Sundays I wish it had been easier for contactless ordering-their app charges $1 for convenience but you still have to go inside to pick it up. read more

The 3 stars did not come from the food or the service. Those two things earned them 5 stars in my book! My Chocolate bowl was super yummy and the girl was professional and quick to serve us. But the employees do not wear masks in store and prep the food behind closed doors, again without masks. This establishment believes in "Hugs over Masks" and had I known this I would not have gone in. I understand "Facts over fear" but I also believe in science and reducing any risks to spread this virus. I just want to warn people who feel like I do on this matter. I think we should all do our part and reduce our risks. Therefore if you wear a mask and you feel your servers should too, then just know your feelings on this matter are not what this establishment believes. read more

I can't help but give this place 5 stars because the food was so delicious and fresh. The portions seemed kind of small when I first received them but my gosh the quality is so excellent that I enjoyed every bite and can't wait to go back. I had just spent about half an hour in a parking lot trying to figure out if there was any place closer than East Amarillo Boulevard to find some strawberries and cream because I had such a craving for them. Everything seemed to be around four or five miles away but I came across the listing for the Acai Bar which I had been meaning to try anyway so I thought maybe I could find something fruity to satisfy my craving and also be healthy. It was nearly dinnertime and I had eaten breakfast out already. I don't usually eat two meals out in one day so I was only planning on getting a snack. The avocado toast hooked me in though as it always does. I ended up with the avocado toast with cucumbers and cayenne pepper which was absolutely heavenly. When I told the girl about my craving and what did they have that might be similar she said they had just started serving a strawberries and cream combination a few days earlier, less than a week! How's that for providential timing! They actually use the Cocowhip to put the strawberries in. I've never had Cocowhip before and was very impressed by it. In fact I headed for Natural Grocers after I left the Acai Bar and bought a Cool Whip type container of Cocowhip to take home. The total meal was $14 with tax and tip and worth every cent. I tried The Acai Bar for the first time a couple weeks ago and LOVED it. This review is long overdue. Their service, cleanliness, and food are very good! I started my fitness journey about the same time I heard about The Acai Bar. The first bowl I had was a Monkey bowl and it was so flipping good. I tried the Choc-A-Maca bowl next and it has become my favorite. I've also tried the Brazilian bowl and Almond Berry Bowl. All the bowls I've had were very good. When I first walked in, it smelled very clean. The place was tidy and cute. I could tell they regularly mop the floors and keep the place clean. They have courteous service. The servers are very nice and they are pretty quick to make your order. I love that they play Christian music. It is positive and uplifting. The couple of times my order was messed up, they were very kind, apologized and made it right. They are usually very good about nailing each order. Also, they serve each bowl so pretty, just as advertised in the pics. They take pride in what they serve. They are pricey but healthy food isn't cheap. Their fruit is fresh. I can tell it hasn't been stored long. I love that they have call ahead. You can also submit an order online but I always call in. I'm thankful we have The Acai Bar because having a healthy smoothie place has helped me shift from my unhealthy eating habits. read more

Stopped by during a road trip. Being from Cali, I'm used to having the PERFECT açaí bowl--and the ones here are up to par if not better than the ones in California. I got a monkey bowl with chocolate chips. The only weird thing about it was the granola at the top and the bottom. When I expected a smoothie, I always got some granola mixed in that I wasn't expecting. So in the beginning, I felt like I was choking on granola. Maybe ask for granola only at the top if you really just want the smoothie part! Overall it was delicious! read more

Can't really go wrong with Acai Bowls, it should always be good. This place certainly has it. Lots of variety that I had trouble deciding. I ended with Monkey Bowl as that is one of their most popular bowls, but I replaced the pineapples with mangos. It was absolutely delicious. Chocolate chips was a nice touch. Service can improve a bit. I was standing right in front of the cashier until she finished surfing her phone. read more

The culinary aspect of The Açaí Bar is up to par. Customer service is wonky dependent upon who is at the register. Service from the kitchen staff is always exceptional. The food is amazing (so amazing I've gone the last three days in a row). My order has never been wrong and it has always been received in under 5 minutes. The punch card is a smart idea to keep customers coming back! The Açaí bowls are heavenly, and I don't have to feel self conscious about eating it. I ONLY HAVE ONE COMPLAINT! The first time I visited the Açaí Bar, the cashier was very inattentive and did not explain the menu to me. He was on his cell phone when I walked in. I felt rushed to make an order. Again, I had returned the next two days, and when other customers came in, the cashiers explained the menu. They were different cashiers for both days. First off, the employee taking our order was very unpleasant. The food was pretty expensive for what they were offering. I did like the furniture and experience but when our Acai bowls arrived it was almost completely frozen to the point that we couldn't eat it. We had to wait a while before it was edible! I love this place! Every time work brings me to Amarillo I eat breakfast here as much as possible, or days like today- lunch. I always get the Monkey Bowl and it is always AMAZING! The quality of the fruit is always excellent. I have been here 30+ times over the last year, and I have yet to get a bad bowl or bad service. It takes a few minutes to get your order, but lets be honest- wouldn't you rather wait a couple of minutes for them to make it fresh in the back? If you are in the area- this is a must! I came in here initially to ask for directions, and I saw a couple eating an Acai bowl out of a pineapple. That's was enough for me. I immediately ordered one and I am so happy I did. What is Acai (pronounced ah-sah-ee) you ask? It is a purple super fruit berry that originates from the acai palm tree, which is native to Central and South America. Studies have shown that acai fruit pulp is even richer in antioxidants than cranberries, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, or blueberries. Our bowls are blended with this berry and topped with the freshest, juiciest fruit and other delicious ingredients.

If you need a coffee I definitely recommend this place! Also, there is an open air porch situation where you can bring your pets. There's also plenty of seating both in front of the coffee bar and behind where you can sit on a couch or bar and write your book. went in here for my morning cup and ask if they had pour over. i was looking over the selection of…read morebeans and cashier suggest the house blend. try it and was underwhelmed. seems to be a bit diluted. and i tasted a little sour note. sorry, i dont like sour african coffee. my preference is south american chocolate nutty notes. i also felt the coffee to water ratio was perhaps higher to my liking. i usually do 20g coffee to 200ml water about a 10-11 ratio. this tastes kinda like a 15-16 ratio. i think this is just personal preference as I am just used to drinking more concentrated coffee than standard. my grind is also smaller thus if i extract to long, the coffee becomes bitter... anyways, pour over is a science with grind size, pour process and ratios all contributing to the flavor profile... not to mention the beans itself.. the only thing i would have wanted is a flight of different beans so I can try a variety and thus purchase the beans i like perhaps i should have instructed them to do a 10-11 ratio. anyways, the breakfast burrito was good and the place looks to be a really nice spot to hang as well. decided not to buy any beans.. perhaps i will mail order and try the other beans once I need to replenish my beans in a month or so
