Normally I love salad barn. Been there about 8 times. But when 4 of those 8 orders has been wrong, it becomes not worth the money. My previous review mentioned they gave us someone else's order, and I couldn't eat what was on it, so I had to go back. It was fixed and the manager gave me a free salad for next time. She as very nice and apologetic. Skip ahead about a month. My last two orders were the Farmer's salad, which has chicken, egg, bacon, tomatoes, cheese, and red onion. It's great for protein. I always ask for no bacon, but my last two had no egg as well. Today I again ordered the Farmer's. I mention to them that my last one was missing the egg, and could they please make sure the egg is on there. She asked if I want to remove anything and I said yes, I need it without the bacon. I added cucumber, bell pepper, and crispy onions. The order has never been repeated back to me at the intercom, but I now know to ask, just in case. I briefly checked it at the window, but it's so mixed together so much it looked ok. It looked like a Farmer's. The order slip covered the top so I couldn't see there were no crispy onions on it. (Not a huge deal). Then I get home and it is loaded with bacon. Now, I know people have allergies, and my son happens to have a bad pork allergy. So I would hate to give him a bite of my salad not knowing it had bacon on it. Any allergies could be serious so if omitting or adding items to a salad is a problem, it shouldn't be offered. Someone could get seriously hurt/have a bad reaction. Were it not for the allergy issue, their salads are still good, but ingredients need to be accurate for a 5 star review! At first, months back, everything was accurate and great. As a previous secret shopper I would just recommend they check their orders before sending them out the window. An allergic reaction can be detrimental for a business. It is beautiful inside though and a nice atmosphere. I generally get drive-thru though and need to know they are accurate rather than having to dig through the salad before leaving. read more

I am pleased Amarillo has a healthy fast food, drive-thru dining option. I ordered the Sunshine Salad. Portion was ample, ingredients were fresh and the different taste combination was satisfying. I stopped for another meal...just needed something light to get me through the afternoon...green juice. It was refreshing. Service was great, and staff were friendly and cheerful. Just finished lunch here. Wonderful salad with spinach, endgame, garbanzo, avocado, tofu, and other yummy stuff. They have a huge selection of their concoction or you can build your own.
