This truck stopped by my work the other day (close to Napa Airport) and I ordered the arugula salad which had large fresh figs, goat cheese, walnuts (best walnuts I've had..what were they?) and I added chicken. Delicious and filling! When I brought it back to work my coworkers saw it and left to get one for themselves because it looked so good. I've also had the chicken mozzarella sandwich on other occasions and it too was incredible. You can tell this truck uses fresh, local and quality ingredients.

    Chicken & Mozz sandy!!

Chef Kevin does not dissapoint! I had the chicken sandwich from this' van's wood-fired oven, which comes covered in mozzarella. Delicious! Even the ingredients are grade A+, where does he get those gorgeous tomatoes?? He uses basil mayo on the toasted french roll, and because I took this back to the office, I did feel the need to have a mint afterwards. But it was worth it. On weekdays you'll find him parked in or near the Demptos parking lot on Soscol Ferry Rd during traditional lunchtime. This is not a cheap "taco truck". If you enjoy Alexis's food from ABC then you'll really appreciate this specialty food truck, serving quality food that's worth the price, sandwiches $8.

Wood fire grill inside their truck...Awesome!

These guys were so cool! They invited me right in to the truck to snap a few photos and tell me their story. Food tastes better when you know the story behind making it. Their Chicken Mozzarella Sandwich did not disappoint. Large chunks of tender chicken with fresh mozz and a delicious sauce all warmed in a wood-fire oven. Mmm mmm mmm, I want seconds. I hope they come to Petaluma more often. Thanks Kevin and Colin!

    Posole. Everyone should try this!!!

This place is amazing. Everything I've had has been all thing delicious. You can't go wrong with the chicken mozzo sando. The chicken is probably the best Ive ever had. The chicken noodle soup is definately not comparable to anything anywhere else. Definately the best Ive ever had. The cilantro was a lovely surprise! And lastly, and definately the best, is the pozole. If its on the menu, definately get that. You definately won't be disappointed. Its probably the best thing Ive ever had.

Menus were given to us, and the staff did check in with us. We had ordered family style and shared -- shrimp & grits, grilled chicken sandwich with veggie chips and butter pasta. Portions are big and our breakfast was delicious and fulfilling. The only downside is that we did ask a staff member to add a side of the pancakes and she acknowledged and confirmed but when we checked in on the pancakes, it was never entered into the system. Therefore, after checking with two staff members and they confirmed that they didn't have that order. Aside from that incident, it was a lovely meal. As you might expect the decor is upscale, modern farmhouse for a restaurant called Farm. It's beautiful with modern metal light figures, light color pallets, and large windows. And even though we reserved an indoor table, they accommodated our last minute desire to switch to outdoor seating. Major bonus points for sufficient heating for your outdoor diners, even at the end of May. The service at Farm was excellent. I just want to give a major shout out to Farm for completely accommodating my lactose intolerance. This allowed me to enjoy the dining experience without worry. For drinks they gave us complimentary glasses of champagne as we were celebrating a special occasion. This was a nice way to start the meal. After, I ordered a lemon drop and husband went with his typical old fashioned. Both were very good. Next, they gave us some amuse bouches to start the meal, with a special one for me to accommodate my dairy issue. Love, love it when restaurants do this. I think this especially notable for restaurants not offering a prixe fixe menu. The food was incredible. To start we had the focaccia, which was so, so good. I was also very hungry so I had more than I would have liked before I even got my entree. Oops, but I also have no regrets. For my entree, I really wanted the crab stuffed cod, but this could not be done without dairy so I opted for the eye of ribeye entree. This dish was incredible. The beef was tender, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. I don't know what the veggies on the side were exactly, but they were mind-blowingly good. I wish I could make veggies at home taste this good. I firmly believe that it speaks volumes when a restaurant puts as much effort into the sides as it does to its mains. My husband ordered the pizza as his main. He finished it all, but thought the pizza sauce tasted a little unusual, but couldn't put his finger on exactly why. For dessert I had strawberry sorbet, and my husband had the chocolate ice cream. The portions were very generous with three scoops each. I didn't think we would finish them, but they were so good we did. To conclude the meal, they gave us little pate de fruit candies, and cookies to take home with us, including a dairy free one specially for me. This type of experience is on par with Michelin level dining. We had such a fabulous meal here and overall amazing experience with the level of service at the Carneros property that even though we weren't staying as guests, we decided that we will stay at Carneros and will dine again at Farm when we visit again next year.

At one point, the music was slightly loud for my liking. Another guest politely mentioned it, and the staff immediately turned it down and made sure everyone was comfortable. That kind of responsiveness really stood out. What truly went above and beyond was what happened after I left. Not bad - not good - just different . We waited 10 full minutes before someone came over and brought two small waters which is ok- and then left - at least he said hi. Our waitress then showed up and didn't say her name - and asked us if we were ready - and then we ordered - I was in mid sentence and looking down and then swoop - the menu was gone - I guess I didn't want to add to my order- Our food came out and the Calimari was good, a decent portion, a bit salty - but - it was good . Then came our food - I got the short ribs - I will say it was really good and the meat just shredded nicely ....it was exceptional actually. My brother got the salmon and I will say it was delicious-- both were small portions with a big price - that's Napa . I don't know how it was 140$ for dinner - for two- but it is what it is. We started with the Dungeness Crab arancini, which are probably the best thing we ate all evening, and that's saying a lot because everything we had was great. These arancini are perfectly fried crab meat rolled into a ball served over a delicious tartar sauce. I wish I had 3 orders of this, at least. We ordered the soup of the day and their bread service. The soup was a white bean and sausage and it was perfectly salty and fatty. The bread and butter was a perfect accompaniment. The Carpe Diem salad was also really special. It had these Cabernet soaked dried cranberries that were so good and tart. For an entree, we ordered the short ribs which come over a risotto. It felt a little heavy, and maybe the sauce could've used a little acid to cut the heaviness. It was still really delicious though. For dessert, we had the espresso crème brûlée. This was just the icing on the cake of a great meal. I love Carpe Diem and hope to come back soon!

Please heed my warning (and those of the other most recent reviews!) and save yourself the time,…read moremoney, effort, and stress - hire literally ANY other caterer for your event. After months of poor communication and several displays of unprofessionalism, I tried to cancel our contract 6 weeks prior to our wedding date. I was in a dispute with the owner (Gabe) to try and get a refund for an event he hadn't even catered, and he refused to provide it. Note that the owner himself has stated that he thinks his business is headed to an end. See attached photo for text messages I received from him with this claim. If anything, you don't want to work with someone who cannot maintain a professional demeanor in their client correspondence. In case you need further convincing to NOT hire Ring of Fire, feel free to read through my ordeal below. --- In February of this year, I reached out in search of a wedding caterer. Gabe invited me and my partner to a complimentary tasting with other couples who were interested in booking. The tasting went great (the ONLY thing that went well in all my interactions with them) so we booked and paid a 50% deposit. Over the next few months I reached out to get deadlines and feedback on our proposed menu. After repeated attempts to contact him, the only time he really reached out was to offer a discount on our balance if we paid it early. In hindsight, this should have been a *red flag* - no professional would ever reach out to a client to ask them to pay something in advance of the contract terms unless they were poorly managing their business and finances. Instead, thinking it was gesture of customer service, we went ahead and paid our balance early to get the discount. However, after paying, Gabe unprofessionally asked us to reschedule our already confirmed site tour in favor of booking another lunch. My wedding coordinator and I agreed to reschedule, only to have him NO SHOW for the site tour. 15 minutes after the confirmed meeting time I called Gabe to get his ETA. He didn't seem to know where our venue was (even though he accepted a calendar event with the date, time, and address in it) and told me was still 50 minutes away so we proceeded without him. Had we waited, he would have been OVER AN HOUR LATE. At this point, I lost faith that ROF could cater my event. We were still 6 weeks away from our date so I requested to cancel our contract and get back the balance payment (that HE requested we pay early). Needless to say, he did not want to grant the refund. I worked with an attorney and determined the best course of action was to file a dispute with the credit card company AND to sue him in small claims court as backup. Luckily, the credit card company resolved the dispute in my favor but I still experienced an extreme amount of stress trying to book a new caterer with less than 6 weeks from my wedding date - something I would never wish on any bride. Again, please save yourself the stress and look elsewhere for your caterer.

We hired Gabe & Ring of Fire in 2019 for our June 2020 wedding. We had come by to do a tasting and…read morehe had a huge spread ready for us and another couple. All of the food was delicious (and the artichoke dip is still my favorite thing ever). We were given the option to pay in full upfront so we did.  When Covid hit, Gabe was very understanding and accommodating about moving the date, which we did twice. We finally celebrated in June 2022, and unfortunately the team was dealing with some key staff out for Covid.  We were super happy with Gabe until pretty much the day of the wedding itself. He had previously said he was going to come by in the morning for setup but never showed up or answered our message asking if he was still coming. We were also supposed to have the big truck showcased on the property and they arrived with the smaller truck. Come to find out the big truck had been inoperable and they couldn't fix it that morning. When the staff started arriving, the first thing they tell me is how they're short staffed and needed to move their crew around, service might be slower, etc. This felt unprofessional especially since it all ended up being fine. We paid for 120 head count and only had about 90 ppl show up, so we told them to leave leftovers. I'm not sure what happened but we had zero leftovers, even though Gabe was saying we'd have a bunch. They also didn't serve coffee in the evening though we had paid for it. Overall we've gotten so much positive feedback on the food and bar, the crew was great, but the unprofessionalism in the final moments really left a sour taste in my mouth. I'm sure some of this had to do with the fact that we paid in 2019 and that doesn't feel fair given that it was an option he offered to us.
