Sue did a really great job. She listened to all of our requests, no matter how crazy they were, and she always had a can-do attitude! She was so patient about all of my questions and constant menu revisions, had great ideas about how to make a wedding for 120 people work in a small, split-level yard, and handled all of the rentals, which was a huge load off my back. The food was all really beautifully presented - not just in trays, but on beautiful platters, and was delicious. Everyone really loved everything - all of the feedback we got from our guests (some of whom have catering experience) was positive. We just wished there was more of it so we could have late night left-overs! ;)

A big thumb up! NVC gave us a prefect wedding and we are so glad that we insist our choice on NVC. All our guests complement the dishes are beautiful, and the chocolate brownie was divine! The cocktail session dishes has a romantic presentation, which melt my heart. Before the wedding we were worried as NVC was not on the venue vendor list, however during testing we have good chat with the chief and the manager. They sound very experienced and provide useful feedback. On the day, the crews are very professional and friendly. They eyes on each guests need, made guest feeling chill and happy during the whole event. Dishes serving is smooth where my husband and I were carefree and enjoy the wedding. Thank you NVC, you made my wedding perfect:) I would highly recommend Napa Valley Catering to couple who seeking a beautiful and private wedding party.

Words cannot describe about how happy i was with Napa Valley Catering. I worked with Sue Catanese and she was soooo helpful and responsive and accommodating. A total plus for this originally calm and organized but then frantic and stressed out bride! The food tasting was absolutely wonderful. We met with 4 different caterers and while all were great and had their pluses, NPV stood out the best. Great food, great pairings, and really reasonable prices. Every single dish we tried was amazing. It was hard to narrow down my choices for my 2 entrees and 4 appetizers. We did the tasting at our wedding venue, the Jacuzzi Family Vineyards, which was cool because we got to experience how it would flow. Sue was very accommodating to my requests, such as food presentation, additional appetizer options, my mini donut machine, adjusting the rental order, and moving the actual rental items around during the wedding (like our cocktail tables from the cocktail location to the dancing location so that it can be reused and i did not have to rent more/extra). Little things like this made it extra special. Communication was key and she was very responsive to all my emails and changes. She even thought of the little things and prepared sparkling cider and juice boxes for the kids which they were very grateful for! The wedding consisted of 60 guests total. The food was fresh, moist, delicious, and as good as i remembered during our tasting. A lot of my guests complemented us on the food, they enjoyed it all. Food timing was great, and the dishes were served warmed. Thank you Napa Valley Catering for all your hard work! You worked really well with the wedding team i put together (Wedding Planner, Rental Company, Venue, DJ etc), and the event would not have been successful without all of you guys. Tasting was in March 2015, wedding was in August 2015.

Napa Valley Catering, they are just so amazing! They catered my wedding on Treasure Island. Suzanne Cantanese and her crew did everything. I mean she handled everything from making appoints for rentals; coordinate with her staff and rental company for the decor; suggested serving amount for guests, serving time for food and setup to make it more roomier. I'm at lost for words to describe the knowledge she has. Sue is very knowledgeable when it came to Weddings. I highly recommend working with her for any of your events. Her and her staff took good care of us on our wedding day; she made sure we had enough food and drinks, yes even seconds. Cleaning was easy; her staff also took care of that. The food was very delicious and went beyond my expectations. All the food that Sue recommended was scrumptious. Most of my friends thought the food was going to be flavorless since it was "buffet" but after my wedding, they couldn't believe how incredible the food was. The Chef did a great job! They were more shocked to find out that Napa Valley Catering price was very, very reasonable and that they offered a free wedding cake. Sue and her staff were very professional and courteous to my guest. They made sure all the needs of my guest were taking care of. I would highly recommend Napa Valley Catering to all my friends whether if it for wedding, birthdays, or other occasions.

Matt and Patrick were extremely friendly and the food was to die for! We celebrated our microwedding in Mill Valley and I have always selected new restaurants based on yelps top reviewed restaurants. I figured this would be the best way to go to select a catering option for an area we're not local to or able to try before in person. The reviews did not steer us wrong. We would love to book again after experiencing the food and stellar service. Appetizers: We ordered the heirloom tomato bruschetta which was one of my favorites! The tomatoes were fresh and every bite was memorable! The goat cheese croquettes were to die for and the braised pork shoulder had everyone coming back for more! Dinner: I'm not a huge kale person but we had an amazing kale Caesar salad that had me hoping I could recreate it at home. I honestly don't think there was any left over! It was accompanied by the grilled antipasto platter which complemented the lasagna dinner we had perfectly! The vegetables were cooked and seasoned to perfection! We had the classic bolognese lasagna and red wine braised boneless beef short ribs for our dinner option which were gone in the blink of an eye. Dessert: To top it off, we finished with the mini amaretto panna cotta and blackberry coulis. They were as delicious as they were aesthetically appealing!

My husband and I were set on having pupusas for our wedding, and it was a surprisingly difficult thing to accomplish. From all of our efforts and research, pupuserias don't really do wedding catering, and wedding caterers don't really do pupusas, but Chef Matt pulled it off for us on a whole nother level of excellence! When we originally reached out to him, he just said that they could do it, and we were ecstatic. At our first tasting, he had already gone to his local pupusa spot to analyze the timing, and watch the whole process. He hadn't done pupusas before, but had the drive, determination, and confidence to pull it off for us. When our wedding day came, we along with every one of our guests were absolutely blown away by the quality of every bit of food and drinks that they provided us all with. He was able to find the wife of a Salvadoran friend, and her mother, to help him make them all fresh on our wedding day, on a plancha that they were able to bring. The vibe was incredible, the food was impeccable, and even the Salvadorans attending were incredibly impressed. From the yucca fries to the plantain chips, from the guacamole to the curtido, from the coffee to the agua frescas, from the salsas to the amazing service, from the compostable serving ware to the incredible bartender. People still can't stop raving. The pupusas, the dips, the black chili salsa, the coffee, just everything. Kharma worked with us relentlessly over every tiny detail to get all of it right, and everything came together SO beautifully, and went SO smoothly without even the smallest hitch. Chef Matt and the Epicurean Escape Catering team literally made our dreams come true. We cannot recommend them enough!!!

I had heard of them before because a friend used them for their wedding, and since I plan events for a living, I've worked with a lot of caterers. For my own event though, price mattered a lot, but I still wanted really good food. After reaching out to a bunch of places, I went with Havana because I had tried their food before and their pricing was very reasonable. We ordered full trays of adobo chicken, lechon roasted pork, crispy tofu, paella, sofrito rice, black beans, corn, poblano mac and cheese, and plantains. I did bring in one dish from another restaurant, Jamaican oxtail, just because I know my guests are big foodies. The biggest hits from Havana were definitely the poblano mac and cheese, lechon, and the paella. Honestly, the mac and cheese was the standout. Everyone kept going back for it and I wish I had ordered an extra tray. What really stood out to me though was the delivery experience. The driver called me ahead of time, brought everything in, and set it all up. He opened the trays with gloves, added sauces, arranged everything nicely, and even put out utensils and labels. I've had plenty of catering deliveries before and this was easily one of the best. He was just genuinely kind and went above and beyond, and it made a big difference. Overall, everything went smoothly, the food was great, and I would definitely order from them again.

Please heed my warning (and those of the other most recent reviews!) and save yourself the time,…read moremoney, effort, and stress - hire literally ANY other caterer for your event. After months of poor communication and several displays of unprofessionalism, I tried to cancel our contract 6 weeks prior to our wedding date. I was in a dispute with the owner (Gabe) to try and get a refund for an event he hadn't even catered, and he refused to provide it. Note that the owner himself has stated that he thinks his business is headed to an end. See attached photo for text messages I received from him with this claim. If anything, you don't want to work with someone who cannot maintain a professional demeanor in their client correspondence. In case you need further convincing to NOT hire Ring of Fire, feel free to read through my ordeal below. --- In February of this year, I reached out in search of a wedding caterer. Gabe invited me and my partner to a complimentary tasting with other couples who were interested in booking. The tasting went great (the ONLY thing that went well in all my interactions with them) so we booked and paid a 50% deposit. Over the next few months I reached out to get deadlines and feedback on our proposed menu. After repeated attempts to contact him, the only time he really reached out was to offer a discount on our balance if we paid it early. In hindsight, this should have been a *red flag* - no professional would ever reach out to a client to ask them to pay something in advance of the contract terms unless they were poorly managing their business and finances. Instead, thinking it was gesture of customer service, we went ahead and paid our balance early to get the discount. However, after paying, Gabe unprofessionally asked us to reschedule our already confirmed site tour in favor of booking another lunch. My wedding coordinator and I agreed to reschedule, only to have him NO SHOW for the site tour. 15 minutes after the confirmed meeting time I called Gabe to get his ETA. He didn't seem to know where our venue was (even though he accepted a calendar event with the date, time, and address in it) and told me was still 50 minutes away so we proceeded without him. Had we waited, he would have been OVER AN HOUR LATE. At this point, I lost faith that ROF could cater my event. We were still 6 weeks away from our date so I requested to cancel our contract and get back the balance payment (that HE requested we pay early). Needless to say, he did not want to grant the refund. I worked with an attorney and determined the best course of action was to file a dispute with the credit card company AND to sue him in small claims court as backup. Luckily, the credit card company resolved the dispute in my favor but I still experienced an extreme amount of stress trying to book a new caterer with less than 6 weeks from my wedding date - something I would never wish on any bride. Again, please save yourself the stress and look elsewhere for your caterer.

All of the food was delicious (and the artichoke dip is still my favorite thing ever). We were given the option to pay in full upfront so we did.  When Covid hit, Gabe was very understanding and accommodating about moving the date, which we did twice. We finally celebrated in June 2022, and unfortunately the team was dealing with some key staff out for Covid.  We were super happy with Gabe until pretty much the day of the wedding itself. He had previously said he was going to come by in the morning for setup but never showed up or answered our message asking if he was still coming. We were also supposed to have the big truck showcased on the property and they arrived with the smaller truck. Come to find out the big truck had been inoperable and they couldn't fix it that morning. When the staff started arriving, the first thing they tell me is how they're short staffed and needed to move their crew around, service might be slower, etc. This felt unprofessional especially since it all ended up being fine. We paid for 120 head count and only had about 90 ppl show up, so we told them to leave leftovers. I'm not sure what happened but we had zero leftovers, even though Gabe was saying we'd have a bunch. They also didn't serve coffee in the evening though we had paid for it. Overall we've gotten so much positive feedback on the food and bar, the crew was great, but the unprofessionalism in the final moments really left a sour taste in my mouth. I'm sure some of this had to do with the fact that we paid in 2019 and that doesn't feel fair given that it was an option he offered to us.
