I've been going here for years and post pandemic they have just gone down hill. The prices are absurd and the quality is not like it used to be. My last two occasions have been bad. First, they had wrinkles in over 5 of my shirts. I needed them for a trip so by the time the manager called back (which was days later) I had gotten them corrected. They DO NOT have the ability to give a refund (which is completely ridiculous). So he gave me credit for the next order. On the next order, I brought in two outfits for my wedding. They said this was "High Fashion" and so it would be $18 per piece! The manager was upfront and said some of the items on one piece would fall off if they dry cleaned it but recommended to just get it pressed. I asked how much and he said $3.60 per piece. I just got my receipt and they charged me $15.69 per piece just to get them pressed, not even dry cleaned! I argued with him and he now said it was $36 a piece and I got a great deal. Then he said it was 20% off, then 30% off. No matter what number he pulled out randomly, he was very rude, dishonest and refused to honor the rate HE quoted a day ago! Again he "could not" give a refund and wanted to lure me in for more jacked up prices by offering me a $10 credit which was not even close to matching what the up charge was for 2 peices. Stay clear of this place! I am a first time customer and when picking up my dry cleaning, for $80+ in dry cleaning fees, presented the $10 off coupon that is posted on their website. The rude employee behind the counter laughed at me when I presented the coupon and stated he could not honor the coupon because I had to present it when dropping off my garments. After the rude altercation with the employee that obviously led nowhere I graciously asked to speak to the manager (no manager was on duty) and his name (which the employee stated he would not provide). Again, this coupon is on their website and it does not state that is must be presented when dropping off garments. FAIR WARNING !!!! Stay clear of the Reston location. Don't go here. Felt like a SCAM. ZERO customer service. Different employees will tell you different things. They have a 100 year old broken weighing scale; the first time I went there the guy weighed it in front of me and said it's 14 lbs I told him the machine is clearly broken as it's already at 4 lbs with no weight on it. So, he agreed and he charged me only for 10lbs so I was happy, when I picked up the clothes and returned home and the cufflinks from my shirt were missing; had to call them and visit the store again to pick them up. No problems, I give them benefit of doubt and at this point I'm a happy customer with an intent to return. All goes downhill when I walk into the store the second time. This time, there were 2 reps at the store that seemed to have no customer service skills at all. Clearly, I remember the weighing machine broken from last time, so I requested that he weigh my clothes now and tell me exactly how much I need to pay before you even take my clothes and he completely refused to do this; he told me this is not how it works and that first he will clean my clothes and only after that he will weigh. This is clearly a SCAM!! He wants to weight after because the broken analogue weigh scale will give him a higher weight and since I wont be there to contest it, they end up charging everyone extra for no reason!! Looking for a new dry cleaners after moving back to Reston. I have kind of "had it " with the discount cleaners. Decent work but not great for some higher end clothing. I found Crest (which I know has multiple locations everywhere) but decided to go check it out as I need quality work for fewer items since I am now retired. The manager greeted me and was helpful and friendly. My blouse came back in perfect condition with the oily stain removed. I have gone back and my clothes are nicely pressed and carefully handled. Just moved to the area so I'm looking for a new cleaner. I'm picky with my clothes. My idea of a dry cleaner is very simple: I give you my clothes and you return them to me in a clean, undamaged and unaltered condition. I've been to so many horrendous cleaners in my life that paying a little more is worth it to me. My clothes were cleaned well, absolutely, and returned to me without evidence of damage. But I've now got Barcode stickers permanently pressed into the tags of 2 pairs of $150+ Theory pants. This place may work for people who aren't as crazy about the condition of their clothes as I am, but I won't be coming back. EDIT: While I appreciate the response and the explanation, I'm still displeased with the result. These stickers couldn't have been applied to the care tag instead of the label or directly to the fabric? The application of a unremovable sticker directly to the inside of a $200 shirt is akin to taking a marker and writing a name on it - doesn't matter if it's visible or not. The ability to track garments on my end isn't a service I particularly want or need. Your ability to track garments without permanently altering them is, frankly, part of what I'm paying you for. I know I'm being very critical, but if your establishment is going to charge a substantial price for your services then I expect meticulous care and consideration. Ran up to Starbucks and picked up a veggie burrito with sriracha bc that's def a good choice considering the day I was having and I was in a white dress. Needless to say the sriracha ended up down the front of me. Crest was the closest cleaners to where I was. So, I thought why not try to see if they could help me. If not I'd be rocking my sriracha spotted frock the rest of the day. Mario and the staff were absolutely AMAZING!! I am not a current customer but they didn't hesitate to help. No questions asked. I told the woman I had never been here before, and she neglected to inform me that they charge $8 per garment!! I just picked up my dry cleaning and paid over $120 for my work clothes, for things that I paid $40 for when I lived in Manassas. When I spoke with the manager and said it was bad customer service to not inform new patrons of the fees, his response was "I have a lot of rich white people that come in here and just want their clothes cleaned, and don't care how much it costs so we stopped telling people". READ THE DISCLAIMER CAREFULLY. The first time I used this service I sent in a silk blouse with leather and suede tassels. The blouse came back to me with the tassels cut off and missing. There was no explanation. If you read their disclaimer it says they will not be responsible for trim. Seems pretty low for an expensive dry cleaner. How else would you clean a specialty item with trim? What they are basically saying is they know they will probably mess up your nice stuff and are covering their butts in advance. I rarely write reviews and couldn't imagine writing one for a dry cleaner. However I think it is important to support top-notch businesses and people. Crest Cleaners in Reston is one of those. Mario is the manager and kinda like the old TV show "Cheers"...... he always knows your name. He greets me by name when I drop off our clothes in the morning and I receive a text in the afternoon when they are ready - the same day. Each of our items has a heat sealed label which they scan at drop off so they know who owns each item. This came in handy recently when I wanted to know the last time an item had been cleaned. They take the time to work on tough stains and are honest when they make recommendations. The clothes come back far cleaner than any other service I have used in the area. They are not the least expensive, but if you use the coupon from their website when you drop off and they give you a $25 credit after $250 (?) it ends up being about the same as all the others price-wise, but far superior on quality. I'm not at all certain where the low rated reviews are coming from, as the service I've gotten here has been positively impeccable, to the degree that I wish I could give them 6 stars. After my first 3 visits or so, it seemed the whole staff knew me on a first name basis and it's even gotten to the point that when they see my car pull up, the have my clothes ready for me as I'm walking in the door so that I only need to be in there for about 10 seconds to get my clean stuff and drop off my dirty stuff. If you are looking for INCREDIBLY fast dry cleaning with no hassles, there is no better option than Crest, I drop off my clothes daily at 10:50 and wind up having it done before 3. despite their claim being in by 11 out by 5, they meet and exceed expectations constantly, easily making them the best value in dry cleaning in the area. I have tried 3 or 4 different cleaners in the area now, and at this point I'm dedicated enough to Crest that I'm actually taking their location into consideration while looking at new apartments because I do not want to move too far away from my favorite cleaners. I dropped off a dozen or so items on Sunday for next day pickup and was very happy to find a cleaner in my new neighborhood with overnight drop-off service and late enough hours that picking up after work would not be inconvenient. When my girlfriend went in the next day to pick them up, she was told that a machine broke and they were not ready and we could come back the next day. Ok fine, things happen, it's very understandable. But I went in today to pick them up and was charged full price (next day service price) even though an extra trip had to be made, my clothes were not available to me when I needed them. But the real kicker was when I asked for a reduced rate for the delay and inconvenience I was told "I can't give you a discount because it wasn't our fault, the machine was broken". Excuse me!? Not your fault? What, so it's MY fault that your machine broke then? I was all set to be a new regular customer, and I wasn't concerned about the buck or two that could have been discounted, but it makes me worried that next time could be ..."sorry sir, the machine broke and burned up your suit, but that's not our fault so deal with it." These guys are absolutely the best. I love Crest Cleaners. I normally do a Pros / Cons list, but I literally cannot find any Cons about this place. Let's see, to start with the staff is extremely friendly - like no other dry cleaner that I've ever been to in my life. What makes them so special you might ask?? ....Well For one they provide you with a laundry bag, and a spare hangers recycling box to fit in your closet, and they provide you with a garment bag when they deliver. What's that you say? Deliver? Yes! They will pick up dirty laundry/dry cleaning and drop off your clean clothes to your door step, in a garment bag - all free of charge. Oh and they send you a courtesy email prior to delivery when your clothes are ready (and they can automatically bill your credit card if you would like). In the end my clothes were clean and laundered perfectly. No smashed buttons or mis-creased collars. And no more wasted trips to the dry cleaners. No more throwing your suits or dresses in the back of your car to get crumpled up right after you've picked them up. I'm telling you, I don't get excited about much (especially dry cleaning) and like most people normally only write a review if I've had a bad experience, but this place is great!! BTW - I am not paid by them, I am not a bot, and I have no ulterior motives. The South Lakes (Reston) Crest Cleaners location is simply terrific. Everyone is very friendly -- they remember their customers' names, and greet each one by name. Mario Majano, the manager (I think) at the location, is very customer-service oriented, and really sets a customer-focused tone for the whole store. Yes, the prices are higher than some of the local dry cleaners -- but, as another poster noted, you really do get what you pay for. Crest is fast, reliable, high quality, and very consistent. I tried many of the local cleaners when I moved to this area 9 years ago, and Crest really stood out from the crowd; I've been a loyal customer ever since. Over the past 9 years, I've had only two occasions in which an item wasn't cleaned to my satisfaction; both were immediately resolved without question, despite the fact that I was being really picky on each of them. Crest's pickup and delivery service is both free and exceptionally convenient -- a pretty good combination IMB. I travel quite a bit, and end up using dry cleaners all over the planet. The only ones I've found that compare to Crest are in London and Kihei (Maui) -- either of which is sort of a long way to send your dry cleaning just to get Crest service. :-) read more

I have been using their services for a few months now and have not had any concerns. Overall good customer service. Dress slacks and dresses have come back in great shape. The barcode doesn't cause me any concern and I think the prices are reasonable (a bit high, but not outrageous). I would suggest, however, asking about prices for services at drop-off as they are not displayed in the store. These are OUTRAGEOUS prices. I was charged a whopping $87.45 for 7 pieces. When I asked for a discount, he said there are coupons online. I said that I would return with the coupon and was told that I needed to present it before I dropped off my cleaning. I have to admit that I signed up for Yelp specifically to complain about Crest Cleaners. That's how little I think of them. I recently decided to try Crest again. Big mistake. For five suits, I received a bill of $80. I called up to inquire about the bill - the man had double charged me for suits ($50 - still a gigantic rip off) and 3 pairs of pants ($30???). The pants should've been included with the suits, which were hung as coats only. I would've accepted this and paid my $50, but the manager was rude and inconsiderate. He told me he "remembered" my order, which I'd picked up five days previously, and that there were three additional pairs of pants in addition to the suits. He then proceeded to argue with me and tell me that I was wrong despite the fact that I was staring at my drycleaning. read more

Awful. Pricing is not transparent at all. They wanted to charge $25 for 2 uncomplicated, unstained, relatively inexpensive items. When I asked to negotiate the bill, they refused, so I walked out. Over the next couple weeks, they left multiple voicemails asking me to pick up the items, but then when I would call back they would still not negotiate. I think they just don't believe women should be able to do this, even though it's just a basic part of doing business. Finally after 40-some odd days of them holding my clothes hostage, I was able to talk them down to a slightly more reasonable charge. Hold the line, people. There is nothing good about interacting with this company. A woman asking to negotiate is not "attitude". #ripoff #scam read more
