Took in shoes to be repaired and they did a nice job. However, they quoted me one thing when I dropped them off then it was more when I picked them up. And, the first time I went to drop off the shoes, the man working was very friendly and welcomed me as it was my first time there. When I went to pick up my shoes, the man barely spoke English and was not friendly. Based on the nice welcome my first visit, I decided to bring in a dress to be altered. But, when I picked up my shoes there was no one there to pin my dress for me. So, I was excited after my first visit and now after my second visit, I won't go back. Unfortunate. read more

I came back on Saturday and he said it wouldn't be done until next Wednesday. I called them again on Wednesday, still not done and the guy said it would take even longer. I eventually got my shoes after two weeks overdue and he wanted to charge me an extra 15 dollars. He kept saying it was because they had to send shoe repairs to a 3rd party and that was the reason for wrong price quote and overdue. I refused to pay for his mistake and left. read more

Would not recommend-- they also didn't get any stains out of the person in front of me either and they were upset as well. Enviro Cleaners is a definite never again. I dropped off my husband's coat to be cleaned on a Tuesday and picked it up Friday. Once I got home and opened the plastic I noticed it was covered in hair and had two mystery stains. It looked like it had been tossed in pet hair and hung up on a hanger again. When I called to complain, they didn't even have it in their system that I picked it up and told me it wasn't ready. I am disgusted and disappointed in the service and quality of Enviro Cleaners. Stink Beware. I really wanted to like and to give this environmental my business. I dropped off approx $70 worth of blouses and dresses for dry cleaning and they came back smellier than when I dropped them off. Weird, but I do sweat I figured being environmental I'd just ask them to re-do the clothing. Upon picking the clothes up today they smelled a little better, faintly still of body odor, but not fresh like dry cleaning typically smells. Sadly I had to ask for a refund and take my clothes elsewhere. I wouldn't have even left a review of the manager didn't proceed to solicit another customer to smell my clothes to confirm they smelled. Of course the customer that awkwardly did agreed with me and I was refunded, but I was embarrassed that he'd do that. Why disgruntle two customers at the same time? Enviro is our third and while we still haven't settled on which one is best, we are sure that Enviro is one of the worst. I can understand being a week late due to COVID as another shop was as well. What I can't forgive is being more than a week late (after when we needed the shoes) and then asking for more money because the work was more difficult than the quote. I came here to get 2 pairs of jean shorts taken in at the waist (altered). They were ready 2 days later, and let me tell you, they fit amazing! The lady who does the alterations did an incredible job and I could not be happier with my 2 pairs of jean shorts. However, it cost $70 to get 2 pairs of jean shorts taken in at the waist ($35 per pair). The lady who did the alterations said her base cost for alterations is $30. So, just beware that they will majorly over-charge for any alterations, but they do a good job. read more

I gotta send an update because this place has become very bad over the years. I've been using this place for about 5 years. First of all, I have to mention that this place has to be violating some sort of OSHA rule. It is incredibly hot in there. The lobby feels like Satan's mouth. I feel like I need to get the clothes I'm wearing dry-cleaned because by the time I leave the inferno, I'm dripping with sweat. There's no way in hell the people working there are comfortable working in those conditions, or that it is safe or healthy at all. I have no idea how no one has died yet. Anyways, back to the dry-cleaning. It's gone way downhill. Like other people have mentioned, some clothes look barely cleaned, and some come back damaged. Lately they've been adding these hard creases in random spots on shirts and pants. Also, a few of my button up shirt collars have been screwed up or incorrectly creased, very annoying. I've completely given up and am now starting the search for a new dry-cleaning place. I'm done with Enviro cleaners. read more

I have always noticed my light colored pants coming back with fading and discoloration spots but i have NEVER complained until yesterday when one of my velvet pants (dry clean only) came back with burn marks and the zipper was ripped out. Ahmad actually had the audacity to a) tell me maybe im too big for the pants, (the pants being a size 8 and im a size 6) b) they hold no responsibility once the item was worn after their dry cleaning and c) he doesn't need my business. WELL if the business owner tells you himself he doesn't need your business, then i guess i should take it where they DO need it. he also told me those burn marks are just food spots. These guys do good work and are well priced. BUT, first they lost two of my shirts, substituting someone else's. We worked that out. Then a couple of weeks later, I found a huge tear in one of the new shirts I bought to replace one of the lost ones. Ok, we worked that one out. Then a few weeks later, I'm at work and I reach back to scratch my shoulder, only to find that there is a tear on the back of my shirt. I'm done! I'm looking for a new place! Several reviewers indicate that this place is inexpensive or reasonably priced, but it's not. I wish I read more, because there is one here with the actual prices. Nothing particularly fast about them either. 3/21 update: This place is ok, but nothing special. I had shirts done. They're not fast, they're not cheap, and the quality isn't any better than any place else. The second shirt I took off the hanger had a wrinkled sleeve. They have coupons and Yelp! deals, which make the price a little better, but I'm not someone to go tracking these things down every time I need a shirt. I take back my first review, we will never use Enviro Cleaners again. Yes, our first try went smoothly... but our second time couldn't have gotten any worse. My fiance brought in several of his suits and a few of my pants for a standard dry cleaning. They told him that the clothes would be ready in 3 days. He goes back 3 days later to pick up the clothes and they tell him that they are not ready. It says clearly on his receipt that our clothes would be ready by then. They tell us to come back tomorrow and they would have it ready for us. OK fine, we can wait a day. We go back the next day and they tell us that the clothes still are not ready. WHAT?! My fiance insists that they told him it would be ready by now. The guy then admits that THEY DON'T KNOW WHERE OUR CLOTHES ARE. So you're telling me that instead of admitting that you don't know where you placed our items you would rather keep pushing the problem, thus wasting our time? My fiance then pushes them to check again... what were we supposed to do, just leave?! They come back with most of our items except for one pair of pants. They tell us to come back the next day and they will have found it by then. FINE. Not like we have any other options. Instead of coming back the next day we decide to give them the rest of the week to resolve the issue. There was no rush for the pants, so we waited. We returned 5 days later to pick up the pants. Well wouldn't you know... when we ask for the pants they say "You're clothes are not ready yet." This is the point where it become blatantly HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. We know you are lying, we know you couldn't find the pants before. We are completely fed up at this point. We demand for the pants and he again admits that they don't know where they are. Finally, they decided to ask us what the pants look like and they find it almost immediately. WOW. It was that easy? Why didn't you just ask for us to describe the pants in the first place? Such a waste of our time. Forget it, I'm not risking losing my expensive work clothes for their prices. I'd rather pay more somewhere else that can actually return my items. Enviro Cleaners is my secondary cleaner for when I need something quickly. Like my other primary cleaner, I get everything back same day, even on weekends and Sundays. The staff isn't very friendly (in some cases they're downright snippy) , but they're always willing to make sure everything I've dropped gets done professionally and on time. A quick review on a busy day: Service was last weekend. Enviro turned up after a random 'net search. Since they were close to me, I went. Prices are - for this area - reasonable. They were supposed to have 5 shirts ready for me Friday morning; it was the Friday of a wedding weekend. I rolled in there Friday afternoon at 3:30 pm, and the shirts weren't ready. But! They just asked politely if I would wait five minutes, &, five minutes later exactly, those shirts were sorted out & perfect, hanging tidily on their hangers. Do not use this place! I sent in a few items via my building at work. I needed one pair of pants to be to hemmed and a button replaced at the belt line on the other. Both came back dry cleaned, but the extra work was not finished. The safety pin I had used to hold the hem in was still on my pants! Of course, they attempted to charge me for this. Despite both having clearly marked tags indicating that work needed to be done, this place simply choose to ignore it. Sloppy work. That isn't even the worst of it. My brand new hockey jersey (2 months old) was ruined. The entire center logo of the team was ripped off the jersey. That is $140 down the drain thanks to these amateurs! I went to this location on 7/15 because of 1. their location close to my job, and 2. because of their $7 for $15 deal, thought that only covered half my order. I dropped off 4 dresses at this location and was told it would be done that Sunday (after paying an additional $16 for just 4 dresses). I said that was fine but I would not be getting them until work on Monday. I didn't bother to inspect the dresses when I picked them up, but I have learned my lesson. It took until Thursday that week for me to notice the damage to the dress when I was putting it on for work. The left pocket had massive damage like velcro had stuck to it repeatedly and been ripped off. The stitching around the neck and on the bow was also coming undone. Lastly, there was a black dot on the front lower portion of the skirt. Jump to the 27th when I brought this dress back and had the alterations guy look at the damage. I am assuming he was the manager as well. He insisted that the damage was my fault. He said that the damage around the pocket was because I was right handed and putting my hand in and out of that pocket or from the car belt. I told him I worse this dress one time only, and that if it was in fact caused by my seat belt or my hand, it would reflect damage on the other side of the dress because I am not left handed and the seat buckle is on my right as well. He then told me I removed the tag that was stapled (stapled, not pinned) to this dress. I told him I had the tag still with the number for his record. He refused to see it. He said he would repress and clean it. I told him I did not want it re 'cleaned' because that's how the stitching and dot happened. I just wanted the stitching fixed and the tufts of fabric corrected. I picked up the dress today, 7/29, and the damage is even worse. The stitching is even more undone, there is a new black smudge on the trip of the skirt, this time large and very visible, and there is additional fabric damage on the back of the dress now. I am extremely upset. This dress was nearly $300 and the entire reason for taking it to the cleaners is to AVOID damage to the clothing you really need to keep nice. I've inked the dress to show that I am not exaggerating on the price for bad review purposes. I love that they do all of the dry cleaning on site. I've rarely if ever had any issues. They always take any coupons that I have without a problem. Very seamless operation. Occasionally a new employee needs to learn the computer system but overall always a good experience. read more

I have been coming here for a couple of years and have always been satisfied. The thing I like best are their hours, they are open until 8 during the week and an almost unheard of 4:00 on Sunday. They occasionally have issued with their machines breaking down, which is why 3 stars and not 4, but its rare. All in all they are affordable and have convenient hours. P.S. The staff was very helpful. It's cash only but they do have an ATM there(unfortunately it was out of service when I was there). They allowed me to pay when I picked up. They also have a hanger recycle. They tout themselves as an eco-friendly establishment. I was surprised at how clean the facility looked inside. The price could be lower but they do a much better job then many other cleaners who cost less (ie.zips & $1.99 Cleaners in Fairfax). Make sure you ask for no crease if you prefer, otherwise it will come back creased. They were pretty quick I dropped off Saturday and it was ready by Monday. I will def be back and recommend giving them a chance. They are much more affordable then some of the more convenient dry cleaners in Reston. Crest Cleaners was $6 or $8 for a single pair of pants and Reston Cleaners was just as bad. read more

Not worth the money, they charge $2 for a shirt and dont even iron the shirts. I gave them 17 shirts and none of them had their sleeves pressed. I used to swear by this place because of the convenience and very reasonable prices. I did have one issue with a pair of pants getting stained during cleaning, but nothing I couldn't get over. However, the last time I went I noticed my bill was easily twice what it would normally be..... they changed their pricing without any notice! Only when I left I saw the $2.99 sign had been taken down from the side of the building. Sneaky, sneaky. Sorry, but I'm not paying $7.50 to have a dress cleaned. Recently had an trouble with shirts coming back with black marks in collar and cuffs after they laundered. Did a redo and ruined the cuff and collar. When I got home I realized I was missing an item! I called they said to call back tomorrow. I went in and they blamed me saying first of all I took my items. I have used Enviro Cleaners for the two years I've lived in Reston. It is an okay, run-of-the-mill shop that does a fine job on routine cleaning. Their prices seem somewhat lower than other local cleaners. If, however, you have an item that requires special attention, I'd pay bigger bucks to take it to a specialty cleaner. I have a red velvet shirt I wore over the holidays, including to a brunch where I spilled maple syrup on the front. I blotted off as much of the syrup as I could by hand. Since the label on the garment says "dry clean only," I took the shirt to Enviro Cleaners the day after the spill. I called the stain to the attention of the clerk who checked it in. When I returned to pick up the shirt, the maple syrup stain looked unchanged. I asked for a re-do. When I picked up the shirt a few days later, it seemed nothing new had been done. So I called my dad -- a retired dry cleaning shop owner -- who had me pre-treat the maple syrup with a bit of cold water and Dawn dish soap. I used a soft brush to scrub it in a little and then I washed the shirt on the gentle cycle of my washing machine. I hung the shirt to dry. The stain is gone and the shirt looks better now than it did after it was dry cleaned. My dad told me the cleaners could've done the same thing, having me sign a consent form (in the event their efforts did not work) but instead they simply charged full price for the no-extras included dry cleaning effort that left my shirt stained. Because it is convenient to my home, I probably will continue to take my routine dry cleaning to Enviro Cleaners but the seat cushions on my sofa that need to be cleaned will go to Bergmann's. read more

I been coming to this cleaners for some time now and didn't have to much problems with them until my last visit. I dropped off 2 suits and one of the pants need to be hem, I told the lady do not put a cuff in the pants because it would be too short. When I went to pick the pants up about a week after the date on the ticket they said the pants are not ready because the could not put a cuff in the pant, really. After talking to the manager he told me he doesn't want my business any more and would give me a $3 credit to use on my next visit since they would not refund the price for the pants.
