I utilize this cleaner on a regular basis. They have regular staff and remember their customers. I do not need to give my phone number, they know it and as I'm walking across the parking lot they pull up my account and have my pickup ready and they are ready to take in new items. These guys are outstanding. With dry cleaning, they have always been quick, professional, and friendly. Recently, I tore out a button on my favorite sport coat, creating a fairly large rip in the front. I thought it was ruined, as the pattern is rather unique and rip looked ominous. I'm looking at it now, less than a week later, and it looks flawless. I literally don't know how they did it--I don't even see a patch or stitching. All for less than $20. 15 years I was a customer here - they messed up two hems and refused to fix them without recharging me. And, to top it off I was asked to leave because I was unwilling to accept the idea that they have never had hems come apart on their work. I will NEVER go back. I have taken my dress clothes, winter coats, everyday shirts, shoes and handbags here for the last 5 years to be repaired. Ever since the son is no longer there all of the prices have increased for the same services. Everything I take there needs to be dry cleaned for some reason? A shirt that used to cost me $2.25 to launder is now $6.25! They try to connive you and tell you that the shirt is made of a special material or that it has special buttons and that it HAS to be dry cleaned. You have lost my business for good. Go to Hunters Woods Cleaners - they always do a great job for way cheaper. Ever since they remodeled the Fox Mill Plaza, Pride Cleaner's rent must have been increased dramatically. Terrible and insulting customer service from the owner herself. When the owner son is not there - customer service and relationships meaning become meaningless . For $2.35 they lost a 25 year customer forever . The owner made that decision. I brought in a white shirt previously - and asked if they could clean the spot. I was told OK. I had not worn it for a couple months when I put it on this weekThe spot was still on it. So I brought it back here - and they said they're going to charge me again to clean it again. Given the attitude the owner - this was not an employee - I would suggest not coming here anymore. read more

Had only a week to get a dress altered before a trip. Was promised dress on Wed. came to get it after 4:00 promised time. Wasn't finished. Came back at 6:00 still not done. Had to come back on the way to airport the next day. No apology, no regret, VERY EXPENSIVE but no concern or care of customer. I have taken my clothes for dry cleaning many times to Pride Cleaners. I also have had pants shortened there. The employee who shortened my pants also noticed that they were too large in the waist, and she did an excellent job of making the waist smaller too. I have had consistently outstanding service from this business. My clothes have always come to me clean and pressed, with quick turnaround (as little as one day) and very reasonable prices (to me--sorry for not remembering exact dollar amounts). Employees are all courteous; I've really never dealt with an unfriendly person at this location. The one thing I might change is how thoroughly wrapped my clothes are when they are returned to me; they are usually on hangers, covered in plastic, and tied together with twist ties . . . I've never received clothes any less ensconced from other dry cleaners, but I sometimes feel bad for creating so much waste just to get my clothes to be clean and look nice and pressed. I haven't brought it to the company's attention yet though. It's the kind of place where I think they might try to make changes if I mentioned it. read more

I have been using Pride Cleaners for almost 8 years. I have used both their cleaning and tailor services and have always been satisfied. They have removed wine stains from linen and once did a real tricky inweave on a very expensive sports coat that is still undetectable. Plus the owner is real cool. read more

The Seamstress did an amazing job hemming my pants. I wanted the pants to be changed from bell bottoms to straight as well as the length shortened. These were on pants that had an inward seam (French seam) which she did not have the equipment to duplicate. I asked her to do her best. I was amazed!! She removed the entire seam and replaced it with a decorative one, turning the base of the pants into strait, and hemmed them to the correct length. The seam is beautiful. A very nice job!!! I know who I will select for all of my hemming needs in the future. read more

Do NOT come here, especially if you actually need a stain removed. They are rude and don't care about actually cleaning your clothes! I have come here many times only because it's convenient for me, and every time I've left disappointed, but this time was the last straw, and I'm never going back. I dropped off a linen dress with a stain on the back, told them I wasn't sure what it was from, and they took the dress and said to come back the next day. When I went to pick it up, the stain was still there and I asked them about it. They claimed they had told me there were no guarantees when I dropped it off, but they said no such thing. They told me that if they put a stronger chemical on it that it might make a hole in the dress. I'm sorry but if you are running a dry cleaning service, you should be knowledgeable enough to tell the customer when you see the stain whether you think it is removable, and whether they should even bother with dry cleaning. You shouldn't just take it and pretend like you don't know, just so you can overcharge them (it was $15, by the way). The only guarantee is that they will take your money and put ZERO effort into doing a thorough job. read more

Don't bother. Took dress shirts to be cleaned, pressed and starched. First pickup attempt. The shirts were neither pressed or starched second pickup attempt shirts were not pressed and sleeve had globs of starch. Third attempt... starched and somewhat pressed. I asked for my money back and took the shirts as is. It wasn't even on my way home so these trips were even more frustrating. Be forewarned. read more

This business is one to use as a guide line for good cleaning services. My husband and I brought our cleaning to Pride for many years while we lives in Reston, We now live in Williamsburg, VA where there is not one cleaner here to compare. I've learned things that will help from both sides to have your cleaning done well. First, when you take in the items point out the stains so they can mark the spots for their cleaning personnel to spot clean. Also check your buttons. Point out any problems you feel should be recognized before giving your valuable clothes or home good to the business. Second, when they returned your cleaned items, look at all the pieces checking to see if the spots came out. If not THIS IS WHEN you should ask for a second try. Humans make mistakes. I am surprised and saddened to see so many negative comments about this great dry cleaner. We have been using this cleaner for 14 years, and while it has changed ownership twice, it still continues to excel. The new owners are fantastic. The seamstress is especially good, fast, reliable and a perfectionist. She is also willing to think outside the box and create solutions to tricky repair issues. Between the speed and efficacy of this dry cleaner, I truly can't imagine looking elsewhere. Prices are industry standard, and we have found them to be humble and friendly at every visit. I have been taking my dry cleaning here for years and love their customer service and great job. I have also had many clothes altered and hemmed and again, great job. And I have had shoes repaired - again, great job. Now I am even more pleased...in talking to the owner I discovered they clean high end purses/bags. I brought in my Coach bag that frankly I hadn't even used for a few years as it was stained and dirty. Well, they use a vendor that did the most amazing job. We wish we had taken " before and after" photos. It cost $64.00 and was totally worth it. I just brought in my second designer handbag which is cream colored but again, had some marks on it and was dirty. Wow, totally looks brand new. Very good dry cleaner. My items are cleaned and pressed perfectly. I've brougt all kinds of men's and women's clothing to them and they always do a very good job, and are very affordable. Sad to say I've stopped using Pride Cleaners since my initial glowing review. After several incidents with leftover starch and discoloration on my shirts and pants in recent weeks, I was feeling skeptical. Then they completely botched my ASU's (military dress uniform). Unfortunately that was the final straw. I should have known better and taken them to an experienced military tailor at Ft. Belvoir, but I was feeling hopeful and was crunched for time. I've had to purchase a new jacket and pants due to the damage/pulling on the seams. read more
