Quality was fair to good in the beginning and then it was a downhill slope. Went here for two years and it's expensive and the quality is at a steady decline. Very friendly service. The location was right on my route home- directly off rte 7. It's located near a Pollo Peru. I had two coats cleaned and two areas needing some light sewing repair. The price seemed a little high but probably competitive with other places. (I rarely use dry cleaning.). I appreciate that they offer a complimentary bottle of water to customers in the cold case near the front. My white coat was very dirty when I brought it in and looked 100% clean and brand new again after cleaning! I'm giving the overall experience 4 stars instead of 5 because the first time, I did not receive any pick up call or notification that it was ready but I did the second time. One pocket that I had asked to be sewn was missed and required me to go back to get it fixed. They were nice about it but this was an extra inconvenience. read more

We had some heavy curtains in the house that were overdue for cleaning. They did a great job, keep in mind you pay per piece so if you have a big window with two panels you will obviously pay a bit more. We had some curtains with some set in stains and they were mostly able to get them removed. The staff there are super friendly. Just of note this place is sort of on the Sterling/Herndon line off Dranesville Road and Rt. 7. Would absolutely return to have more cleaning done especially if I've got bigger pieces that need cleaning. read more

I rarely get things dry cleaned or altered but needed to get a coat and some blankets cleaned and zippers replaced. Service was top notch - very friendly and communicative and the whole process from drop off and payment was super easy. They did an excellent job cleaning all the garments including a jacket covered in dog hair that was nearly impossible to get out. All of our garments including the ones where the zippers were replaced looked practically new. I highly recommend them and will definitely be back. read more

This review is for the alteration service. First, the Dry Clean Center has new management and there is a difference in the friendliness of the place. I appreciate that I could speak with staff knowledgeable about alterations without having to wait for the limited hours that the tailor was available that was the norm before. The prices were reasonable and for the most recent job - a zipper replacement for 6 dresses - was actually completed early and I received a text message so I could make a decision on coming early to get my dresses. I really like this new change. Free cold drinks available which is a nice touch. I do tend to bring my more delicate items here given the care required and I have not been disappointed. A silk dress was $7.45 to have dry cleaned and worth it given the fabric. read more

Here's the deal: This place has semi-reasonable prices but absolutely zero respect for their customers. After an unsatisfactory job removing dirt from a set of curtains, this store was not willing to resolve their shoddy job in any form. The curtains came back pressed, but with more stains and spots than before. We asked for a redo on the dry clean job or a refund or even a PORTION of a refund, and they were unwilling on all accounts. The employee/owner said herself: there are no refunds and no guarantees. There are no offers to keep customers happy. The service was rude and unwilling to fix the issue. For your sake, save your money and go elsewhere. Don't go there. Soon as they see which car your driving they will go up on the prices. I was going there for a while because prices were reasonable but lately every time I come they will over charge me. They got new people working there and they are extremely rude and nasty to their customers. I point it out to owner why I've been always paying one price and now it's triple for the same item? And the lady that was working there start yelling on her language that I couldn't understand and pointing me with a finger! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND READ BELOW. I wish I could give this place ZERO STARS but thats not an option. I used to use this place because its cheap and i think that is why many people use it. People will get past the bad service, the lack of good communication and understanding just for the cheap price and i cant blame them because i did it too. i have been using this place for a while, like 6 months and since using them, i have noticed that many of my shirts have come back shrunk a little, some have little circle stains on them as if there was a cleaning agent or dye dropped on them. I thought maybe it was something I did until I started to inspect them, and realized that I was giving them perfectly good shirts and then when I got them back, they had these circle spots. Some of my pants were also ruined whereby the back of the pants(near the pocket), the material was fading away and coming off. Here is what broke me though. I went in like normal one day and gave them 8 shirts and my 2-piece suit. I went back 4 days later to retrieve my clothes but they said they found a shirt that was not tagged and they think its mine but we have the other 7 shirts and suit for you. I looked at the shirt and IT WASN'T MINE!!! They said, its ok no problem, sometimes the shirts get mixed up, give us time to locate and we will call you tomorrow. I was ok with that and said thats fine. I didn't receive a call till 3 days later saying that they still couldn't find my shirt and that I need to give them 2 weeks???!!!?!?!?! I was not happy as this was a business collared shirt which I use with many of my suits. So, I was basically told that I had no choice and they had to go through the process and find the shirt, so i waited two weeks. At the end of two weeks, they said they still couldn't find it and they needed another 2 weeks because their full process of locating a piece of clothing is 4 weeks!! I was very unhappy but they said, if they do the process, they also couldn't and wouldn't remedy the situation. So i had no choice but to wait, now when it is just over 4 weeks, I go in, and they say they cant find it and that they think this is my shirt, they were trying to convince me that the shirt they have is my shirt when I know what shirts I have, i don't even buy the brand of shirt that they found. They said, well you can come in and we can talk and you will understand why we feel this is your shirt because noone else came in that day with that business shirt in that color(blue), which is the most common color, and this is not a small store so its hard for me to believe that someone else didn't come in with a blue shirt, its not like the receipt says what color the shirts are, but I found a Dryclean place that does actually say what color garments you drop off to avoid any confusion/hassle! so after all this, they said we can only give you $14.00 for your troubles when I told them my shirt(s) that i buy are always between $50-100 and they wouldn't pay for the lowest one, they basically said they will give me $14 and that i could take it or leave it. so I am going to basically lose money on the shirt, had the worst hassle ever telling them that it is not my shirt and they basically don't care about my business. So my hope is that I help others in the area and community to let them know about this business. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. if you decide to go anyways, then write down on your receipt what garments you give them and inspect all the garments when you get them back. read more

This dry cleaners is inexpensive, cleans my husbands work suits, can clean and polish shoes, just everything. They do a great job, TEXT me when my items are in/finished, and are just so nice. Just full of Hospitality and friendliness. They ask to pay upfront but they are about 30% less than others in the area so I don't mind one bit. Also, THEY HAVE NO MINIMUM CREDIT CARD PURCHASE!! I have been going to The Dry Clean Center for many years even after they store changed ownership in December 2013. I am very pleased with the work and service they provide. e.g., they take care of my husband's delicate and extensive collection of Hawaiian Silk shirts and they even repair some of the shirt collars that other tailors refuse to handle. Although I moved to Arlington in 2015, I still work in Sterling and, I continue using Dry Clean Center services. It is worth the trip to bring my garments all they way from Arlington because I know they will be properly care for. Also, the store has plenty of parking space which we lack in Arlington. After having the buttons broken on 5 shirts in 2 months at ASAP (formerly Dryclean Depot), I decided to try this place. The first thing they did was explain some of my shirts should be hand-pressed to avoid any problem with the buttons. It's slightly more expensive, but waaay less than having to replace the buttons on a Polo, Hilfiger, etc. shirt. It's been well over a year now and I'm delighted with their cleaning service, but that's not the best part. I needed to have the sleeves shortened on a new sports jacket. My mother was taught to sew by 2 professional seamstresses. Although she hasn't charged for it, she's done countless alterations for numerous friends and relatives over the years. On my way to a reunion, I stopped to visit her. I showed her my new sports jacket, which was still in the plastic bag from Dry Clean Center. She carefully inspected the sleeves and said she didn't think they'd been altered. The new work perfectly matched the original in every way. It was only after I tried it on and verified the correct sleeve length that she was convinced. She said, "If you EVER need anything altered, you need to take it to them!" I've had them do three other items and have gotten the same excellent results. Looking at some of the other reviews, I have to wonder if there's been a change of ownership. I've only had excellent service from people who seem genuinely concerned about their customers. If that changes, then I'll be back here to edit this, but I don't anticipate needing to do this. read more

Ditto to the comment by Ateet A. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. LOST PAIR OF PANTS RUINED A $700 SPORT JACKET LOTS AND LOTS OF BAD IRONING. I've had the same experience with them as Ateet A., both, in terms of poor service and bad communication, but stuck with them because they were cheap. They lost a pair of quaki pants for us. When I brought back the garments home, I found that they had replaced it by one that was too small. I took it back. They pulled one from the back and said they had found our's; but it wasn't. So we left it there and the original was never to be found. Lately they cleaned an expensive navy blue wool sports jacket for us. It had a stain on the chest which was not so visible given the color of the jacket. When I brought the garment home, I saw (the same day) that the front of the jacket had about 6 in. on the left across the breast and half as much on the right completely ruined (not sure if it was pressed with too much heat, or the cleaning chemical or combination of the two). As I was leaving town that day, I right away called them and informed them of the problem and told them I would bring it in when I'm back in town. Personal circumstances kept away for a few weeks. When I took it back to them, and although all there tags were still there, the lady claimed that she doesn't know what it is and doesn't know that they did it, She insisted, very unkindly, that she wouldn't try to re-dry clean it if I say that they had anything to do with the problem. She might as well have been a lawyer. She wasn't interested in fixing the problem and owning up to it, She wanted to make sure they wouldn't shoulder any responsability, and in a rude way too! Over the years, I had complained about instructions that were not followed or really poor ironing, I accepted a LOT of their mistakes and had them redo significantly less. I lived in Dranesville for 4 years, and this drycleaner is probably the thing I miss most about the area. I go through about $70 worth of drycleaning each month, and I have never had a problem with them. If I left items in a pocket, they were always returned to me. If I had a stain on a piece of clothing, of course I had to draw their attention to it, and they were always able to get it out.
