I found the staff to not necessarily be rude (I have been to where they are), and they have great hours. Have used these cleaners twice now for hemming pants for me. They are reasonable and quick. Though I know I can have them sooner, if I like, just getting the pants taken care of has been the best. Plus they are less expensive then anyone else I've found in the area. The lady behind the counter is friendly and helpful and this appears to be a find. When I recently brought pants in for shortening, one of the pairs had a stain on it. Upon pickup, they had removed the particularly difficult stain and it didn't even look like there was anything remaining from the removal they did. Highly recommend! read more

I just moved to Herndon recently and started a job that requires clothes that need to be dry cleaned. Since I've spent a fortune on my new clothes, I wanted to find a good dry cleaners. I've tried a couple of them and both of them forgot my belt... twice. I had to go back multiple times to retrieve my lost item. The cleaner seems to be a lot smaller than the others that I've been to, but I think it's just a smaller counter area and a larger dry cleaning area. I've been there for about a couple of months now and they've been great. Clothes cleaned, no items lost. Overall very happy with the experience. read more

This place was very responsable to me. I took my son's new blazer for cleaning and they lost it. They called me to fix the problem. They paid me for the cost of blazer and they told me that if the costumer return the blazer I can keep the money that they paid me for it. I appreciate the way that they resolved the problem. I have had really mixed experiences here with the previous and new owners. I was hesitant with the new management because I am very particular, but they seemed nice to I gave it a shot and though I had issues (e.g. my husbands hisrts had the same consistent wrinkle and my shirt had the starch burn marks) they did an excellent job when I brought the items back so I know they can. I just think they have a quality control issue vice incapable. This may get worked out over time. Prices are good and I would try again for dry cleaning. I do NOT recommend them for laundering and tailoring of anything beyond straight hems. Update: I've stuck with it because most alternatives I've tried are not great and they seem to have hit their stride. This is now the place I use for dry cleaning. I still only bring my stuff as they do seem challenged to avoid any wrinkles at the bottom of my husbands shirts and at 6'6" they are not always hidden from being tucked in! read more

The new owners are very friendly and place looks much better than what was before. Pricing is fair, and they are very flexible if it is absolutely necessary. Laundered shirts have their good days and not so great days, but the dry cleaning is always spot on and neatly done. I appreciate the level of quality with the alterations. There is a tailor shop nearby that I would never go to again. I brought my things in here and they got it on the first try. Faster, better, cheaper! The service was quick, friendly and professional. Eco cleaning plant. Same day dry cleaning and laundry in by 9:00 AM and out by 4:00 - 5:00 PM happened four days in a row with no problems. The dry cleaning and pressing was spot on. The laundry and starching of white dress shirts with French cuffs is outstanding. Worked out a stain on a silk shirt simply gone without damage to the material. Parking is always open right in front of the store as 20 minutes limit painted on the curbs. Easy on and off Centerville Road to the store with traffics lights at the intersections. No problem using their coupons available on their website. Full service includes available alterations for additional charge if needed. read more

Went to the dry cleaners to get my dress dry cleaned but they wanted $12.99 for this dress for you (prices not posted anywhere) so guess I am going down the street to the $2.29 dry cleaner. Of note this was a simple cocktail dress that I could probably just put in the wash and not the dryer but don't want to risk it. When I explained that they were closer to me than the 2.29 dry cleaner but I wasn't sure why it was five times more so I couldn't justify getting the dress cleaned with them the worker said that while the 2.29 dry cleaner advertised 2.29 they don't charge that, which is a lie (I have used the other dry cleaner numerous times). I don't appreciate being lied to. read more

I'm surprised by the negative post below as I've been going to this cleaners for almost 18 years and have never had a bad experience with them. On a couple occasions where I had asked them to re-do an item of clothing they had no problem doing that at all. I know the owner and his wife are Chinese and they don't speak English very well but they've always been very nice to me and have always taken good care of my clothing so this negative post really does surprise me when I've been going here far longer and not once was treated with disrespect not to mention they've always done a good job on my dry cleaning. read more

Lady was very rude. Asked for a simple alteration and she measured me and then I handed her the dress. She went through the whole transaction without quoting me a price and quoted me $60 when I know it could be done for $20. I questioned her and she then said that this is the price. I told her thank you, but I'll try to go somewhere else. When she heard that she then started to roughly take the pins out of my dress causes holes to forum. I asked her why, and if I could have the receipt she rang me up to use to contact the owner, she then told me no, and refused to give me a business card. This was our first and last visit to Worldgate Cleaners. After reading through reviews of other dry cleaners, we decided to try out Worldgate because of the good reviews and the proximity to our home. This goes to show you shouldn't believe everything you read... Although they do a very good job of actually cleaning your clothes, it costs you an arm and a leg. We had 2 men's dress shirts, 2 women's sweaters, 1 pair of pants, and a dress dry cleaned, as well as a zipper replacement and it cost nearly $100! I've had zippers replaced at Zips for about $15-$20 with incredibly fast turnaround. It took over a MONTH for them to replace my dress' zipper! In addition, they also don't tell you when your garments are ready. While they do a good job, I can't even say it's worth half the price. read more

This place did seem to do good work but the last time I went and picked up my clothes they smelled like extremely bad body odor. I took it back and told them what was wrong and they completely denied everything. They even tried to blame it on my dog which is completely ridiculous and I've never experienced this before so it was definitely something wrong on there end. But when I took them back in they had to have 3 different people sniff my pants and stated that they couldn't smell it at all and I am not sure how. So they cleaned the pants again and after that their was no smell and they were extremely rude after this happened. I tried this place based on the yelp reviews. I took in an expensive man's suit to be dry cleaned, and they said it would be ready in four days. So I went to pick it up, and it had not been cleaned yet. I was told to come back the next day. I did, but it took them about 10 minutes to find the suit. Best dry cleaners I have ever been to. The staff is friendly and courteous. They remember me and ask me about my day/weekend. But more importantly they perform great services. My clothes are always perfectly cleaned. I've gone in with the worst spots (even paint) and they've gotten them out. I've also used their alterations service which is excellent! These guys were AMAZING!!! My friend's wedding dress was ruined a few days before her wedding and my friend, miraculously, was able to find a different dress to wear **the day before** but it needed some serious pressing. I called and this place was willing to press her wedding dress with 10 minutes notice and agreed to have it ready 3hrs later. The dress was pressed perfectly and the wedding was saved! The worst customer experience that I've ever had. I bought a shirt from banana republic and literally after removing it from the packaging, dropped it off for drycleaning. When I returned to pick it up, the owner began by screaming at me. After I got him to calm down for second, I realized that my brand new shirt had two conspicuous rips. He started shouting again and saying that I brought in the shirt ripped. I told him that the shirt was new and never had a rip in it and he called me a liar. After a frustrating back & forth, I asked him what he wanted to do about it. I was hoping for at least some compromise and professionalism. All I got was.....MORE SCREAMING!!
