This place charged my wife $100 to hem a polyester gown. When she picked it up a week later, the only service provided was an uneven cut across the bottom with NO HEM (there WAS a hem prior to the cut). The seamstress said "this is the style," then refused to hem the gown or refund the money. We had to go to another seamstress to fix the shoddy work and they were so appalled they gave a discount. The small courtesies, the pleasant attitude, their genuine desire to help if you need something unique, the extra effort, etc. For instance...I had a bit of an emergency where I needed some fast sewing done on a costume on a Sunday. After explaining the situation (and despite clearly being very busy) Engie offered to accommodate me the same day! She did a fantastic job, exactly as requested, and even went above and beyond by adding some additional stitching where she thought the costume needed some more strength! Great staff. Great work. My favorite thing about this place is the fact they offer in-house alterations. I brought in a suit jacket for an alteration, hemming the sleave by 1.5 inches, and drycleaning. I have short arms and 1.5 inches with a moved button is EXACTLY the hem that was needed for it not to hang over my hand.. When I got it back, the sleaves had been hemmed by 1.5 centimeters, the jacket was covered in lint, and had fresh dirt on it, including something that looked like yellow honey mustard sauce crusted on one shoulder. I said something about it, and they took it back, brushed/steamed the honey mustard gunk off the shoulder and handed it back. I found other discolorations and drips on the fabric in other places, so I decided I didn't trust them to fix the issue. I took a chance with a nearby service and they failed. I already took it to a better tailor and cleaner to get the addidtion inch hemmed plus an actual cleaning. Positive: customer service was good at drop off and the people working were professional, the job just was not done and they did not actually fix it. read more

In Coronavirus times, Maple Cleaners has pivoted their game plan to create masks for the community. I heard about what they were doing through a local mom's group that I am part of and immediately contacted the owner's daughter Jin via email. They are currently making custom masks in mens, womens, and children sizes (you can specify the age of your child so they can make sure it fits appropriately). Masks are $15 each and takes 5 - 6 days to complete with contact-free, curbside pickup. I received my masks yesterday and I am SO impressed with the quality. I already have a collection of fabric masks but they are almost impossible to wear because of sizing, fabric choice, and quality. These two-play masks come with a pocket for a filter (plus two filters), contours to the nose and chin, is lightweight on the face, and won't slip off the ears. I have already recommended these masks to all my family members and friends. They are located close from me, which is why I chose to come here. 1. General Service: great I liked the lady who took my order, checked and counted everything and was very pleasant. 2. The actual dry-cleaning service: 4 days into my dropping off all my clothes, I got a phone call informing that 2 of my silk blouses were ruined as another customer's clothes had pen in it and its ink had ruined my blouse and it cannot be restored! I tried my best to keep my composure, but come on! I dropped off my clothes to be cleaned, made better but not to get ruined. I had bought the said blouses on sale at $140, but I was reimbursed 100. I cannot even replace them. Some items were returned cleaned well. I would not take such a risk again by dropping off fancy or expensive clothing items here. read more

I'm conducting a personal exercise in discipline where I'm not allowed to buy new clothes or shoes in 2019 which forces me to reevaluate what I do own...and think about the things I own which need repairing. I had a formal event to go to with my sister and since I couldn't buy anything, I pulled a beautiful salwar out of my closet that I hadn't worn in years...but the zipper was missing and the delicate material with sequins and gems was RUMPLED. Furthermore, I realized this on thursday night and the event was Saturday night out of town. Eeeek!! On Friday morning I called Maple Cleaners and asked if the zipper could be replaced; at first I was told no, only Monday. But then half an hour later I received a phone call saying yes, I could bring it in and pick it up for the following day. Yay. I gave them the pants for the zipper to be fixed and 2 other matching pieces for cleaning/pressing. I picked them up the next day and the zipper was perfect and the pieces were absolutely wrinkle free. I fell in love with the outfit all over again. My only gripe was when I got home, I realized the hook above the zip was loose...and it eventually came off. I think it would have been nice if someone could have strengthened that for me (but they also might not have noticed) or if there was a concern that I wouldn't want to pay for the extra work (because people should definitely be compensated for their work) then maybe call me and ask. read more

I had a bad experience that the owner took time to make right. To me that is worth more than an experience that goes perfectly. On New Years Day I visited and from what I now understand, they had a part time employee working alone because it was a holiday. He was flustered and everyone is short staffed. This is a small business and it was totally understandable. He was confused about the prices on several items, saying one thing and typing in another and also charging the woman in front of me a different price for the same item. When I wrote a bad review I received a call from the owner within the hour. It must have taken him some time to figure out who I was, as it was my husband's account. He apologized and explained the situation. He made things right with us and has won a customer for life. read more

I think the main reason that keeps me coming back here is that the owners really care about their customers and are not afraid to correct the mistakes of their employees. I had an issues where my shirt buttons were burned and left a review, but Mr. Mata did not hesitate to personally call me and apologize, and update me on their mistake. He was honest on what happened and told me that he has spoken with the employees and corrected the problem. My experience with Maple Cleaners and particularly Mr. Mehta and the staff has been great! My first time dropping off a comforter, but was caught up in traffic. Mr. Mehta is super hands-on and will be available by phone/text around the clock. I had messaged him letting him know I was running behind the closing time and he had asked his kind staff to wait for my arrival before wrapping up for the day. Not to mention the turnaround time for my comforter was about 2 or 3 days - so super quick! My comforter is also unique with specific quilted design and it was handled with care. Needed some last minute outfits dry cleaned and couldn't be happier I came here! Dropping off was a breeze and was asked what day I wanted to pick up. When I came back to pick up 1.5 days later, it was ready on time. The clothes were nicely sealed and looked great! There was one issue on one of the gowns, and the owner put a ton of effort into fixing it - going so far as calling the designer in Dubai and offering to pay for the damages (wich was minimal and not their fault but instead the detail in the fabric). I had a pair of sweat pants that look like jeans hemmed here. They charge $15 for pants and $20 for jeans. I explained that my pants are actually not jeans, because I was being told it's $20. After that was straightened out, it was painless from there. I just told them what my inseam was and it was done in 2 days (turn around time is 2-3 days). Overall, it was quick, convenient, and I'm very happy with their quality of work. I like it, just for one simple reason most other drycleaners don't. They covered the buttons on my coats for me. My coats have buttons made from horns and they are prone to breakage and discoloration under heat. Maple cleaners listened to my insistence on covering it though initially, the lady said it was made of plastic. It cost like 13 bucks per button... so I am glad they listened to what I said. I called multiple times to ask if they offered same day cleaning. It took many calls (over the course of an hour) to get a response. Eventually I did get a hold of them and found out that yes, they did offer same day cleaning and I had just missed the cut-off by 10 minutes however they would do it anyway for the same price. After I hung up they sent me two text messages and a picture of their building; I didn't request any of this information and the picture (MMS message) cost me $1 to receive so that was a bit annoying. The actual cleaning came out exactly as expected. The shirt we brought in was cleaned, pressed, and had no missing/broken buttons. The price was about twice what we expected. I wrote about this in an earlier review and they contacted me to explain that we actually received a steam service (by hand) rather than machine pressed service. They offered a refund, which I declined as I understand it was just a mistake. Nevertheless, I appreciated the offer and I was impressed that they contacted me so quickly with an explanation. read more
