Listen, at $2 a garment, don't expect miracles from the Dryclean Outlet. Will it get the job done? Absolutely. So here are a few things that will help you look on the bright side, should you fear the worst when dropping off your clothes at Dryclean Outlet: 1) Your clothes will at least come back cleaner than when you dropped them off. 2) You didn't have to iron out all of those damn ruffles and pleats on your party dresses, work blouses and swashbuckler Halloween costume from last year. 3) You obviously were too lazy to iron your own pants but look! Someone's willing to do it FOR you for a mere $2! Isn't that great?? 4) Lost a button on your favorite shirt after picking up your dry cleaning? Don't worry, I think the world is finally ready to catch a glimpse of your Hasselhoff-envy chest hair. (Insert tiger purr sound here). 5) You get what you pay for. While I wouldn't recommend taking your $100,000 suit here to be dry cleaned, you could however, bring that button up shirt that you've had since freshman year of college here. Their default starch level is what I like to call "sorta starchy" but you can definitely request a higher level of starchiness for crisp, clean shirts (high starch yields very crisp collars, but you already knew that). Also-- remember to bring cash, as it's a cash-only operation. If you drop off your clothing and can't pay the cash up front, you can always pay them cash when you come to pick up up your stuff. read more

I don't know why I come back here. Wait I do, it's $2 and they're down the street. For the most part the clothes come back cleaner than when they go in but sometimes I'm not even sure if they were cleaned at all. And in terms of starch for dress shirts and pressing them, the starch is super light even when I ask for extra heavy and the shirts always come back wrinkled. Please do not use this dry cleaner! Very poor quality and bad customer service!!! I recently dropped off two jackets, when I picked them up, I found that one jacket was still dirty, and the other one was very damaged (see attached photo) so I have to throw it in the trash. When I talked to the manager (a Korean lady) about it, she was very rude and said that because the material of my jacket (silk) was very easy to get damaged during the dry cleaning so they would not take any responsibility for it. You get what you pay for, i.e. a mediocre job, at best. A hungover college kid could do a better job on these shirts...and that's an insult to a hungover college kid! They royally screwed up three of my shirts - spilled starch all over one (looked like melted white wax everywhere), the second had blue soap still on it, and the third was a shirt I'd never seen before in my life. Nice try. Came back again to pickup the shirts and there were still problems. I asked for my money back, but they did not give refunds...and barely spoke any English. "No comprendo." You get what you pay for people. Unfortunately I had a huge backlog of cleaning to be done and brought 30 pieces here at once my first and last time using them. In addition to them losing one piece (a j crew wool sweater) and many pieces still being wrinkled, I now have an entire closet of my nicest clothes that absolutely REEK of dry cleaning fluid. Did some googling, here's what that means: What does it mean if my clothes smell of cleaning solvent?  If your clothes are returned to you from the dry cleaner and smell of solvent, it's time to change cleaners. This smell is a sign of impure solutions and bacteria growth in the system. Freshly distilled solvent should be used on every load to properly care for your clothes. A properly maintained dry cleaning system should produce odor free clothes with every cleaning. All in all if I had to do it all over again I would happily pay twice as much to have my clothes properly cared for. Never again!!! read more

I've been coming to this place since 6-7 years ago. Never again. This is the fourth time they ruin my clothes. This time they damaged 2 of my shirts with stains in the front, like yellow big stains. I won't come back again, I am tired of this. This place is not worth it. Yeah it is $2.00 a garment but I would rather pay more and have the job done right. I used to take my waitress uniform there to get it cleaned back when I had no money and working through college and I would always get my clothes back damp and with stains barely cleaned out but seeing how I had no other choice I kept going. The final straw for me was last week when they told me to come pick my clothes up Friday. I went in to get my clothes and the lady told me to come back after 5 o clock since it was not ready. She said when they tell you a certain day that it really means after 5. Now, I am sorry but if you are not going to have my clothes ready until 5 that day then you need to tell me to come the next day (SATURDAY not FRIDAY), I expect my clothes to be ready when you open that day it says on the ticket. Regardless, I asked for my clothes back and they did not even start to dry clean my items. Now I know why my clothes are still nasty and damp when I get them back, it is because they dont start it until the day of.... This place is just not worth the time or money. This is the worst place to take your stuff if they need an alteration. I took 2 shirts to make sleeves thinner and ended up with a shirt the sleeves are so short! No one asked them to shorten the sleeves but they took it on themselves to shorten them. My shirts were ruined what a nasty unprofessional place to run business. read more

Long time customer. Recently the button down shirt collars are seriously misaligned and needed to be re-ironed. When I politely asked about it today, they rather abruptly told me "no - it's the machine" and we won't redo the shirt. Trust the reviews. I live within a mile of this place and have been bringing things here for 2 years due to the cheap price and the proximity. About a week ago I went in to pick up 4 items and they couldn't find them. They said they would give me a call and that I shouldn't worry. Five days later I still hadn't received a call. They then told me that the think they gave my clothes to someone else. The tone in which this was said to me suggests that this is a common occurrence. I'm now at the point where I have to wait for 30 days from drop off to file a claim with their insurance company. Even if I get my clothes back or my money for them, I will never go back again. I should have paid attention when half of my clothes were coming back with the same stains as before only worse because now they had been ironed into the fabric. Or when clothes were still wrinkled or yellowy, like almost burnt by iron. But I kept going there hoping it was just a fluke. After all it was cheap and generally the clothes I took were not that dirty, only in need of "refreshing"... Then came the last straw.... After they destroyed my husband's good quality wool jacket by not testing before using cleaning fluid and causing a huge bleach stain, managers and owner dodged our complaints, ignored our calls by asking over and over for us to go there but failing to show up themselves for three months while pretending they were looking into the issue, and tried to tire us into abandoning the claim. Finally they asked for replacement cost. When they saw it was an expensive jacket (over 200 dollars new) they said "the stain was there when you brought it." and refused to compensate not even a cent. The stain was from cleaning fluid! The owner said: You don't like it, then sue me! So we looked into the consumer affairs protection process for the cleaners industry, which respectable cleaners use to solve this type of issues. we found out that they do not belong to it. So if you have a complaint with them you have no recourse. Whatever they do to your clothes, it is your problem. We can only vote with our feet. Never again will i take my clothes there... read more

I was very excited to find this place. At $2 a garment, you can't go wrong. I wouldn't say that they are the best dry cleaners I have ever used but I'm not expecting much at $2. It's worth that just to iron my clothes. I wouldn't bring anything that has a stain on it. I brought in a garment with a small stain and they tried to treat it making the stain much worse. I don't blame the negative reviewers - if my clothes had ever been damaged or gotten lost altogether I'd be upset too. I came to yelp looking to see if anyone else had a similar experience. looks like others have also had their clothes smell after bringing them here. my friend said her dress smelled after taking it to this place and I really regret not taking her word for it. I also wish I didn't take so many items because now I'm dealing with a bunch of disgusting smelling garments. To make matters worse, the day I picked up those items, I dropped off some more. And yup, when I got those back they stunk too. I tried airing out the items for a week, but the smell just overtook the room they were in. I took them to another cleaner but the smell remains. I didn't bother talking to the management there because I have seen them be very rude to customers and I have no interest in them offering to re-clean them. Staff lacks common courtesy and respect! While I was handing over my last garment to be cleaned, a staff member yells, " cut off the lights" as if myself and my transaction were invisible. When I asked why he would request for all the lights to be cut off while I'm still conducting business, he says, "it's to prevent other customers from coming through the doors, and besides there is still some light coming in though the windows." His flippant and unprofessional remarks, with a raised tone, signaled that this is not the kind of establishment I want to patronage. Services can be cheap, but not the attitude of a wage worker. Do yourself a favor and go to Cleaners 4 Less (in Vienna), where the customer service is spot on, the facility is clean, and the owner is personable and respects his clientele. read more

FIND ANOTHER LAUNDRY SERVICE. From missing and smashed buttons, to wrinkled garments, to creased collars and cuffs, I've never really been happy with the quality of service at this location. But they're cheap and they're close. But after my recent experiences I'll NEVER use DRYCLEAN OUTLET again. First, they must have dropped my $150 shirt on their muddly floor (there are PUDDLES OF GOO ALL AROUND THEIR STORE), then they ran it through the mill without even attempting to clean it. When I brought it back (with the ticket STILL ON the front), they first tried telling me it wasn't them before they accepted it for recleaning. (And when it came back, it still had noticeable spots...but whatever.) Next, they misplaced about NINE of my shirts marking in their system that I'd picked them up when I hadn't. Thinking I was mistaken, I scoured my home for the shirts and went back THREE DIFFERENT times over two weeks to ask them to look for the garments. Time and again, they TOLD ME THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE SHIRTS...when THEY DID!!! Finally, I demanded that they go back and look for the shirts-- and voila! There they were. In sum, the customer service here is badly lacking. Forget about any care in the treatment of your garments, and make sure to INSPECT AND COUNT each and every garment you bring there if you do decide to risk it. Never again.... read more

No matter how much business you've given Dryclean Outlet over the years, if they ruin something of yours (such as a comforter), they will not take responsibility let alone compensate you for it. They will tell you that they will look into it, then that it is your fault, that your item was old, that this is normal wear and tear, that it is not their responsibility, anything to avoid taking responsibility for their actions. After many years of patronizing this business, I truly could not believe how poorly they treated me. The employee that the owner kept asking to speak to me even said "I don't know why she is asking me to speak to you. She is the owner and they have insurance. They do this all the time." Worse dry cleaners ever... Do not take your clothes here.. I had an awful experience where this dry cleaner ruined my dress. I brought it to the dry cleaner's owners attention and he was very rinse and told me that he did not care what I had to say. I presented before and after pics as well as a statement by the dress manufacturer that stated the dress was damaged due to high heat applied to the dress. The owner and his son were very rude and I do not recommend this dry cleaner. Also be sure to check your clothes because not only was my dress ruined but my other items were returned dirty. I've been coming here for five years. The people are friendly and quick to help you. I don't understand some of the other reviews. They're very easy going and customer focused. I only gave these people one star because there was no other options . I have been going to these people for years and put up with lousy cleaning. My issue this time ....... I returned from a overseas trip and out all my summer shirts in for cleaning. I was leaving for Miami in few days and need my summer shirts. When I got home and got ready to pack them that night I noticed they smelled like diapers! No time to have them redone and I couldn't go out and buy more Tommy bahamma type shirts. I dropped of some work shirts later the next day before I left and explained my situation to older Korean lady I have felt with a very long time. I shared I couldn't just bring them back I sprayed with fabreeze and hoped this would work. Well here I am in Miami florida and my chest smelled like dirty Nast diapers . I called the store had them look up my account and asked the young man who answered to please look at how long I have been a client. He seemed disinterested. I told him I was out of town and had a chose to have recleaned at hotel prices or replace shirts as I need to have something to wear. He said bring them in they will reclean. Really? I am in Florida! He said its my fault for not checking them before I left and it's my fault for waiting till the last minute! I gave my wife's suite one year ago to be pressed and they lost it. Now after 11 month they do not take responsibility of losing the suite. They tried to convince me that I picked it up and when they saw I still have a receipt tried to get around it. I don't know what to call these people .
