Zarif is absolutely incredible. She altered my prom dress 10+ years ago and completely rebeaded the bodice to keep the original design of the dress after I needed it taken in. She has also recently helped me properly style a bridesmaid dress that I received the WEEK OF my friend's wedding. She is truly a gem and our go to tailor! I trust her with my life. read more

I can't thank this tailor enough. I needed my wedding skirt altered on a rush timeline for a destination wedding, and they stayed open late so I could pick it up before leaving. The tailoring was beautiful, and the skirt fit perfectly. They took so much stress off my shoulders during an already hectic week. I'm incredibly grateful for their skill, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile. I would absolutely recommend them! read more

I went to see Zarif to alter a dress for my son's wedding. Even though she was busy at the time of my fitting, she took ample time to look over my dress and how it fit me. I had the slit on the dress lowered and some stitching around the neckline repaired. Zarif's work was impeccable and my dress was even finished sooner than expected. Zarif is a true professional with an eye for detail and honest assessments of what will look good for you and what needs to be done for your clothing. In addition, Zarif and her family are welcoming, friendly, and genuinely believe in providing high-quality service and customer satisfaction. I will return to Zarif for more of my alteration needs. I highly recommend her services with no hesitation! read more

This place is AMAZING!!! My boyfriend and I brought our jeans to her before our vacation. She tailored both of jeans perfectly! Very quick during the tailoring consultation, with a turn around time of less than two weeks. Great service and great quality! read more

Boss Lady is a professional tailor! My husband has been to three different tailors in the area over the last ten years and they have all done a poor job on his slacks and pants. Zarif took care of their mistakes. She also took care of many of my items-particularly a pair of barrel leg jeans that just didn't flatter until she took them in appropriately. I'm so happy with her work! For all your tailor needs, this is the place to go! read more

They do amazing work!! I was last minute before she went on vacation and she fit me in and got my dress back to me in less than a week. Highly recommend. read more

Great lady great service, tailoring was impeccable. She was very busy and moved things around to accommodate my deadline. Thank you Zarif.

The work she did on my too-large Barbour coat was excellent. I'm mad I didn't find her before I got married and had someone else screw up my wedding dress. But she is also a sharp cookie - with quick wit and no nonsense. Really like this place and will always go back whenever alterations are needed. read more

Got my suit tailored here. It cost $100 and I'm positive they did nothing to the suit coat. I came back to pick up my pants per the date they said they would have everything done. It wasn't ready. I asked them to taper the pants and they did not. Won't be coming back. read more

I walked in for a zipper fix. lady said nothing was wrong with it but I had to call my husband to confirm with her that the zipper was broken and splits. she said $20 for a new liner. When I came to pick up with my husband another lady said $15, possibly $50, I could not tell by her think accent but I heard $15. charged card and now I'm looking at $50 on my bank statement. Called to clarify but same lady with broken English. I told her forget about, I would just never come back and leave this review. read more

Zarif ... this is long overdue Outstanding . The best ! I have taken everything from designer jeans, dress pants, suits etc to sweat pants. The work is pure greatness. The owner (terrible with names) is like extended family to me. Great work, super fast, great family and it feels good to support a local business who deserves all the credit. Whatever I bring in, I know they can mold it and not just make it work but makes it perfect. Top business 100 percent!! read more

So glad I found you. Thank you for your welcoming smile and accommodating attitude. My velvet suit fits like a glove. See you soon.

Went in with my husband to get our measurements for some custom evening wear we're having made. We were able to get in and out pretty quickly and get all of the measurements we needed without an appointment. The lady who measured us was super nice, funny and helpful. Will definitely be going back to get our clothes altered (if need be) when they come in! read more

Homecoming 2021... a 5'9" kid who is super slender is difficult to buy for! Went all over town looking for a a suit solution, to no avail. I took a chance on a suit on eBay! Unfortunately the jacket was a bit big and the pant legs were "grandpa legs" as Zarif called them! Zarif got to work immediately measuring and pinning. The process was very quick but she is obviously a master at her craft. Highly recommend! The suit looked great and because she doesn't cut out the extra fabric, we can have Zarif work on it again as he grows. Great investment. read more

I needed to shorten a bridesmaid chiffon dress. I told them I needed it done in 2 weeks, and they said they can do it in a week and a half (no extra charge either). It was done by the time we agreed. The stitching was beautiful, and the length was perfect! They offered to steam it for me too. I will definitely come back for any tailoring needs. Highly recommend!!!! read more

What would I do without this place? They come in clutch for everything and everyone in the family. We have used them to add zippers to Indian dresses for me. They have handled suits for our teenagers who are now in college and preparing for the workforce. They have taken in and out suits and tailored pants for my husband for over a decade! Everything is perfectly done the first time and on time. read more

Just picked up my bridal dress after alterations, and I must say that I am overly excited about it. Zarif did an amazing job on my all lace dress. I came in for my first fitting and didn't need a single thing touched up. The bustle is beautiful and everything fits as it should. She even took it upon herself to look into the fabric and with her knowledge, decided to wash it for me (I purchased a wedding sample dress from boutique). It came out brand new, and sparkling white. Very happy customer and will return.. affordable price I must say as well. Highly highly recommend! read more

I've used Zarif Tailors for a decade+ beginning when she was originally located off of Ashburn road. She's very busy with lots of clients & does great work. I call her my fairy godmother! A Cinderella moment! Recently I had a formal dress fiasco and Zarif came to the rescue! Over the years my floor length gown had "shrunk" in the waist and no longer fit. Unfortunately, I was out of time to buy a new dress and had military ball to attend. Long story short...My husband & I had a communication snafu and I learned at the last minute I could not wear the cocktail length dress I was planning . Zarif saved me and was able to add a panel to the waist in less than 24 hours! Great creativity from a busy lady aka Fairy Godmother ‍ Thank You!! read more

1 mo later no clothes. She couldn't find them. Eventually returned them looking like they had been stuffed in a trash bag.

Zarif Custom Tailors fixed up the neckline of one of my most favorite dresses. Very responsive, very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend!

I'd used Zarif in the past and she has done work for several of my family members. Of course, I took the dress for my son's wedding to her for alterations. She told me they were really, really busy and she was making great money and she hoped she could get it done. I hadn't chosen a dress until about 6 weeks before and the one I fell in love with was the last available, two sizes too big. I asked her to be honest and let me know if it couldn't so I could go somewhere else since I knew I had a time crunch. She assured me she'd do it and reminded me she'd always taken care of my family, which was true. It took about a month, me calling to check in, and I went in the day before I had to leave for the wedding and begged. I had to sit while they finished. The end product was horrific. They had done NOTHING to take the dress in other than folded the dress and run a straight stitch along the side. All of the excess material was just folded down, resulting in a lumpy profile. She had forgotten to do the bustle for the train and I ended up waiting 15 more minutes while she sewed in 3 hook and eyes. The whole thing cost $250 for... literally NOTHING!! When I got to the wedding destination, my aunt, who is a seamstress was beside herself. We went into the city and found a tailor at a cleaners that took the seams apart, cut the dress properly and restitiched it correctly in about an hour. She charged me $50!! NEVER again will I go to Zarif, nor will my family. read more

I have previously written a review about this superb tailor. This past week I brought them a very thin dress that I inadvertently had washed in the washing machine which resulted in a large 90 degree tear. I brought it to Zarife hoping she could maybe turn it into a tunic or top. She surprised me and said she could fix it. Let me tell you they are magicians! I got the dress back and you can't even see the repair! These people are true professionals, I have brought them many garments and they always do a good job with their alterations. If I could give ten stars I would! read more

I picked up 2 dresses from Zarif that she altered for my maternity photo shoot. First I want to start by saying that Zarif is a very kind and nice person and it's a pleasure dealing with her. She's definitely a professional in her trade. As soon as I put the dresses on, she knew exactly what needed to be done and altered. She was right about all her recommendations and I'm happy I listened to her because the end result was beautiful. I would 100% use this place again for any and all alterations. read more
