She was rude and had a bad attitude. I called to get a quote because I wanted an adjustment and alteration on my dress. All I wanted is a strap to be added, and she yelled in my ear, acted like she couldn't hear me and kept talking over me. In the middle of my sentence she put me on hold for about 3 minutes, and proceeded to yell at the people around her. She came back and said anything I want added to the dress, I can buy online or go somewhere else to get it done and then hung up on me. I truly can't recommend Lien highly enough. I went to her for all of my alterations for my wedding dress- she was so kind and helpful and always knew exactly what needed to be done to the dress. I appreciated how she would always show and explain to me why she was making certain recommendations. She was also able to make custom off-the-shoulder sleeves for my wedding gown that honestly looked like they came with the dress- they were perfect. I went back to Lien after my wedding for help altering a lehenga with mirror work, which is an extremely complicated garment to alter. I was so impressed with the work she did. She basically had to take apart and rebuild the top and skirt and you cannot tell at all. Lien is the absolute nicest woman and her prices are incredibly reasonable for the work she is doing. The shop is by appointment only and open Tuesday-Saturday, only cash and checks are accepted. I came to her several times in the past and she did a fine job, I didn't have anything special - just needed to hem dresses or pants. I felt like she was a bit overpriced but the location is very close so that was convenient. I always felt rushed with her. Last time she made a mistake scheduling my appointment so I came at the same time as another customer and Lien was very rude, was raising her voice and claiming repeatedly that it was me who made the mistake (even though I specifically confirmed the appointment with her). I can't believe that during this time of Covid a business would be so and caring towards new customers. I walked in people were staring at me and a woman came out and told me that I needed an appointment. It's at tailoring shop businesses are going out of business. Arrived about 11:20 am on a Thursday. Was told to take a seat as the lady who does the alternations was helping someone else. I used the restroom and put my two pairs of pants on a chair. When I returned, someone else was there and had moved my pants. Ok, fine, not a problem. About 5 minutes later, the lady who pins the pants for alterations appeared. She said, the people waiting had an appointment and that she was too busy and needed to take care of them first and could I come back. To which I said, I didn't realize appointments were needed and she said usually they are not but they had one. I said fine, I'll come back another day and that I work nearby. But frankly I felt put off. It takes two minutes to hem two pairs of pants. I would have been finished in 5 minutes. But no, couldn't do it and seemed very rude. I stopped in literally because it was on my way to work from where I was coming from. I'll find someplace else to go get my alterations done. Remember, you might be great at what you do, but customer service is part of your job and turning people away literally not good for your business long term. read more

Lien was wonderful during my wedding dress alterations. I met with her quite a few times in the 2 months leading up to the wedding. It was a lot of work and she did a great job. She was also positive, encouraging, and fun to be around. I miss my visits with her! I also used her for a standard dress hemming and hemming my now husband's suit pants. She does not take walk-ins - call for an appointment. She is not cheap, especially for wedding alterations, but she does a great job. From my first call to schedule an appointment, Lien was very friendly and accommodating. I went in the next day for my alternation appointment. Lien has tons of pictures of previous brides/clients and thank you letters hanging on her wall. After meeting Lien this doesn't surprise me. I was mentally prepared to pay a lot since I waited until the last minute to have my bridesmaid dress altered. I actually told her to take her time seeing that it was only her in the shop, there were lots of dresses, and I had plenty of time till this needed to be done.
