My soft cat eye top was taken in and from the front center, which changed the look of the dress and where it sat on my chest. I said it wasn't what we discussed and it changed the dress, and they suggested cutting the cat eye corners. I showed them the picture of how it was before and said to make it just that way and the next week luckily they did--it was back as it was! The hemming was just fine and done well. The bustle loops were made of a material that was like a very thin clear fishing line. I was a bit nervous about how it would hold up but I trusted it since I'm no expert. Sadly 1 of 3 bustle loops snapped before walking into the reception and a second bustle loop snapped 10 minutes into dancing. It looks so weird in pictures but it was game time and we couldn't grab a pin. It was a heavy ballgown with a cathedral train and multiple layers. Because it was just so heavy and impossible to hold up, I had to put on my outfit from the rehearsal 30 min into dancing. Luckily I had it with me, but I was so bummed because I wanted to wear it for at least half of the reception dancing! I'd come here for other tailoring because they're quick and reasonable pricing, but not for wedding dresses.

I dropped it off here and within 2 weeks they put a completely new lining in, they even recreated the pockets and the decorative trim on the edges of the lining. It looks just as good as new (and will likely last even longer since the material they used feels even more sturdy). I've used this place in the past for simple tailoring jobs like getting my suits fitted or pants hemmed, so I knew they did good work, but the quality and attention to detail on this repair was amazing. The lady (whom I assume is the wife of the owner) took my measurements and asked me about details of the suit I wanted, said I needed it in 2 weeks, and she said ok it'll be ready. When I came I to pick up the suit, I tried it on with a shirt and vest I ordered for the suit. The suit fit like a glove! My fiancé (at the time) loved it, but my brand new shirt I had gotten didn't complement the suit well. No problem...I asked for my shirt sleeves and sides to be taken in, 2 days later it was ready and it was perfection! Prices were about the average I saw around and some services were a bit more expensive. But it was worth EVERY penny, and I knew how much I was willing to spend on my suit. I felt great on my wedding day and everyone thought I looked super dapper in it! This was my first time getting anything tailored, and I see what people mean when they say it looks and feels better. We arrived to Tangs with my mother, daughter, and my good friend Tiffany (who put tangs on my radar). Lisa was to be my stylist. When Lisa saw Tiffany, she gave her a huge hug! As she had helped her years before to find her perfect dress. I knew I was in good hands Lisa asked alot of questions, but nailed what I wanted instantly. She really listens. The first dress she picked out for me, is the one we all fell in love with. I tried on other dresses, but her first pick....WAS THE ONE! I asked her if it would be alright to have some time to reflect before I commit to the dress. She was so cool about that and didn't pressure me. Later on, I decided... you know what. That's my dress! My maid of Honor called Lisa. Lisa said she'll hang out at the shop until we arrive. And she did. An unexpected personal touch, was that earlier in the day...I mentioned that I love Metallica.
