Her work was our first choice and our initial online contact was the more informative and detail-oriented than the other henna artists I contacted. Unfortunately, Covid changed our plans as I was about to contract with her. When it came time to schedule again, I decided to review several artists again - just because that is who I am. Since we are not Indian, but the groom is, we consulted his mother for recommendations. Independently, the mother of the groom asked around and her friends thought Shazia's work was first rate too. Unfortunately, it looked like there might be a conflict with the day that the bride preferred to have her henna done, but Shazia made it work. Shazia put in a 12 hour day to fit us in - and her work did not suffer for it. She arrived with everything including her own table and chairs that she wiped down in between clients. When she came back to do the bridesmaids' hands, she took extra time to help the non-Indians. She was so kind and friendly that she even helped them learn to fold a duppata properly for the evening's festivities. I only am pointing out that it was a mix of Indian and non-Indian guests to stress that everyone was pleased with her talent, and kindness. I highly recommend Shazia. She also threaded the center of my eyebrows to eliminate any excess hair. She did a thorough job of cleaning, shaping, and trimming my brows. I am in general so impressed by how the appearance of my face has transformed - no doubt eyebrows are a critical part of framing your face, and Hina has done justice! I also requested a henna tattoo. I asked if I should spray the pattern with lemon water to restain the tattoo, and Hina replied that the henna used is good quality. When I got home from my trip, I saw that she was true to her word. The henna yielded a promising strong stain, so my fear of a shabby henna was erased. Hina is a sweet and accommodating beautician. I am looking forward to revisiting!!!
