I had the absolute honor of having Roma do my wedding Mendhi--and she was hands down one of the best vendors I worked with. The Mendhi application is such a pivotal moment in the wedding festivities. It's really the first time as a bride you get to sit still, relax, and step away from all the planning and chaos. You physically can't do much, and that quiet time matters. Having Roma there made that moment even more special. She's sweet, calming, and genuinely fun to be around. She helped ease my wedding planning stress and made me feel completely at peace. The Mendhi smelled amazing, and you could feel the love she put into every part of the process. Her attention to detail is incredible--the design was flawlessly continuous from the front of my arms to the back, which is so hard to pull off. She was also so patient throughout. I'm so grateful Roma was a part of that moment. She brought beauty, care, and calm exactly when I needed it most. read more

I found Roma here on Yelp when looking for ideas of things to do for my 13 year old daughter's surprise party. Roma was very responsive to email, great at giving me details of how things work, pricing options, and generally making me feel comfortable. She was great working with thirteen 13 year olds and two adults, keeping everyone organized, and giving them options of designs to choose from. She came to my house for this event, and was working diligently for roughly 2 1/2 hours to take care of all of us! The girls and adults loved their designs and thought this was the coolest activity ever! I can't recommend Roma highly enough! read more

Roma was amazing!!! She was very friendly and professional when messaging her for a quote. She was also very flexible in arranging the meeting and had transparent prices. This was my first time getting henna. Roma is very easy going and made me feel comfortable. She has great attention to detail and was surprisingly quick. Her homemade henna formula felt very natural and smelled amazing (unless you hate tea tree oil). She also gave great aftercare tips and answered any questions I had. I will definitely keep getting henna from her! read more

I needed henna done for a destination wedding and Roma was super accommodating with my crazy work schedule. It was my very first henna experience, so naturally, I had a ton of questions. Roma was always available via call/text and never made me seem like I was a bother. She's very friendly and super sweet. I highly recommend her to anyone who is in need of henna! read more

Roma was so great! I had my bridal henna done by her and we did one session in my house and then another session during my formal henna party. She was so mature and such a professional for her young age and she was so sweet! I was very tired during our first session and I actually dozed off once or twice and she kept doing her work with no complaint! I would definitely try to book her if I ever have any henna needs! She's the best in the area!! read more

Would do 4.5 stars if I could but I can't. Roma was great. Very professional for a young woman and she came through, spent a lot of time on detail and cared. She did an excellent job and used good quality mehndi. Mine was a last minute affair due to weather issues so I was lucky I found her. Half star taken off because it was admittedly awkward sitting in her apartment ( she does this only for mehndi that will take a lot of time ie bridal etc) and being around roommates etc although they were fine. Overall- highly recommend and great option very close to DC. read more

I absolutely loved the bridal henna Roma did for me. I showed her some designs I liked and she made some suggestions, and it came out so beautiful. Everybody was asking me who did my henna. I have gotten henna done several times but was never informed of the after care, at least none that helped. She told me things to do to get a darker stain and it worked, and made my big day perfect ! read more

Roma is a fantastic artist, professional, and friend. For over 6 years, I have had the pleasure of knowing her and observing as she worked - and she's only gotten better over time. Her work is stunning, and every time she applies mehndi/henna on my hands (mostly just for fun), I get such amazing compliments - as if I had actually gone to a wedding! Her designs are intricate, traditional (or modern - whatever you want!), and so, so beautiful. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a henna artist for a bride, bridal shower, kids' birthday bash, or even just for fun! She's amazing with everyone and her style can fit anyone's needs. read more

Today we had the pleasure of having Roma in our bridal shower. From the beginning she has been really professional and kind, we arranged everything on the phone and she confirmed via text messages. Her designs are amazing, she is using only her self-made, organic ingredients used henna. She is pretty quick handed too, she did 5 hands and a foot in an hour- with intricate designs. She definitely added a special touch to our party. We will be having her for other parties too. Personally, my wedding was five years ago and I couldnt help asking her for doing a mehendi for me after all those years:) read more

Roma's Henna Designs - Amazing job done about five minutes !!! - Henna Artists Near Me

I contacted the artist to schedule an appointment and request pricing for a specific design in which I sent photos. She was kind enough to respond and indicate she was not available; however, did not provide pricing or indicate when she would be available. I sent a follow up text, again requesting pricing and I never heard back from her. Waste of my time. read more

Roma was amazing!! She managed to somehow finish gorgeous mehndi designs for over 20 of our family and friends at our mehndi night celebration before our wedding in just a few hours. Roma is so sweet and a complete joy to work with. All of our guests were impressed with her creativity and deftness in creating the mehndi designs. She went above and beyond the call of duty and made sure I was comfortable while she finished my bridal henna. Our mehndi looked beautiful at our wedding and the designs stayed dark and distinct. I would 100% recommend Roma for any mehndi celebration. read more

Roma is incredibly talented. Just watch as art blossoms across your hand, or feet, or canvas of your choosing. She makes her own henna--very natural and high quality. She is also one of the nicest people I've ever met. Highly recommend! read more

Roma is a warm, bubbly, insanely talented mehndi artist whom I was honored to have do henna for me (the bride) and our wedding guests at a party the evening before. Her work is gorgeous, blending traditional Gujarat and Arabic henna styles for a modern, elegant look that is at once elegant, delicate, airy, and organic. Everyone raved about her work -- me most of all, especially after I smudged a huge patch and she calmly fixed it like a pro! -- and I'm still enjoying her handiwork two weeks later, as the henna slowly fades. Mehndi is a side gig for Roma, but she learned from her mother and has been practicing from a young age. She was supremely flexible and professional in scheduling, sharing sketches, doing the work and educating us about the traditions (and pregnancy safety) of henna body art, and even made sure she'd be appropriately dressed for the henna party! She was an absolute doll, a joy to work with, and a real artist. read more
