Good service. Thabn you for taking care of my wife and daughters. highly recommend them.

Henna Harmony (Deepti) did a fantastic job with the henna for my wedding. She is very sweet and talented! Deepti arrived EARLY and was extremely patient as I was trying to find a design that my mother would like (who was not at home at the time). She brings her own henna that she makes at home. We chose the designs for arms (3/4 length) and feet on the fly and she interpreted the makeshift suggestions beautifully. Her work was impeccable. Everyone complimented the intricate, beautifully done designs. She worked quickly but accurately. She was also a complete joy to chat with. I think her work speaks for itself but when you have someone sitting with you for hours, it helps if they are positive and a great conversationalist. I could not have picked someone more talented or professional for my wedding henna. I highly recommend to all desi brides! read more

Deepti is one of the best mendhi artist in the DMV area. She makes her cones directly from home and they are splendid. The color of the mendhi comes out really dark, I haven't seen that from anyone else. Her work is phenomenal and she is very efficient. I recommend Deepti and Henna Harmony for any mendhi events. read more

Communication * I was able to reach Deepti by phone to initially inquire about availability & pricing; we communicated via email afterwards and she was timely & responsive. Price * as listed on her website, $160 for 2 hours of henna at our location. Event/ service * Deepti came to our location at a restaurant in Sterling for maternity henna. We had a gathering of 5 women and she was able to paint a gorgeous, intricate henna on a baby bump, and 1 henna each on 4 woman attending. I requested a design not in her gallery and her interpretation was even better than I imagined. Experience * I highly recommend contacting Deepti for henna. She was professional, did beautiful work, and was engaging with all of the guests. I have had henna on location for maternity events 5 other times, and this was definitely among the best experiences I've had with design & natural ingredients. Deepti was just lovely to spend our afternoon with...thank you Deepti for sharing your gift! read more

Deepti was very professional. She came to our house, even though we were running late, she was very flexible and accommodating. She was able to recreate designs we found on the internet with ease. She uses her own homemade henna formula. She was very friendly and gave us tips on making it last longer. I cannot reccomend her enough! read more

I hired Deepti from Henna Harmony to do mehndi henna for the girl guest at a tree trimming party. I was very fortunate to get her as it was a the first Saturday in December and I doubt mine was the only holiday party going. I had been hunting hard to find someone who was good at this art form which is a very fun activity often had at Indian weddings etc. Despite the growing Indian population in DC I found it difficult to get a solid recommendation so I got on the internet and much to my surprise found Deepti's place. Her reviews were excellent and it mentioned she would travel so I shot off an email on the Tuesday before the event and to my surprise she was available. She requires a 25 deposit (via paypal) to reserve a slot. This actually made me comfortable as well as she was approaching the commitment with seriousness. On the night it was pouring rain and she appeared 15 minutes earlier with her wee table and equipment. She set up the library upstairs which is warm and has good light (two necessities). She uses the real henna of course, not the blacK henna with the nasty chemicals. She has a large binder full of designs but can mix and match or execute your design. All of my guest, even the most sKittish initially, thoroughly enjoyed the process, choosing the pattern, experiencing being a canvas for art, chatting to Deepti and each other as well as the product. As an added flourish over the past, which falls off eventually to reveal the lovely red stain which lasts from 10 days to 2 weeKs she applies glitter which maKes a lovely if temporal product. I chose a Mandela stamp on one hand with blue glitter and some twisting fans on the other. One friend with a love of peacocKs chose a design around that. Another, with a very conservative job, chose a very small flower for her index finger and a tiny tendril on the bacK of her hand. After the two hours. she efficiently pacKed up and left us all happy, but not before snapping photos of our lovely hands. We all loved her and would use her again. She is very well priced as well. She charges 80 dollars an hour with two hour minimum for visits (plus a travel fee after 35 miles and a fee for after 9 pm). In the days since the event my appreciation has only grown as I get complements all over from people who are new to henna and those who have seen quite a few results and laud Deepti's as inceredibly clean and lovely. She worKs freehand btw. read more

Henna Harmony - One of the guests at the party shows off - Henna Artists Near Me

We hired Deepti for bridal henna and a small mehndi party. From the beginning of my wedding search, I loved her designs and stain quality. Deepti has a wonderful personality, which made it very easy to sit across from her for a few hours while she worked her magic :) She creates lovely designs very quickly and applied mehndi to about 30-40 guests very fast. She is very "low maintenance" in that she brings all the necessary supplies and is happy to explain the process and aftercare for people both familiar and unfamiliar with henna/mehndi. We appreciated that she checked in with us every so often throughout the party to see if more guests were expected, and she was very flexible with time, design requests, and even provided henna cones to some aunties who wanted to use it later. She was also very accommodating during planning and provided a free sample so I could see how the stain turned out two days later. As far as design process, I brought some general ideas and we talked about the kinds of patterns and styles that I liked and let Deepti take it from there - the result was a beautiful, flowing, cohesive pattern. I received so many compliments from guests and family, Indian and non-Indian alike. I would definitely recommend Deepti's service to anyone looking for high-quality, all-natural, beautiful henna services! read more

i highly recommend Deepti of Henna Harmony. Deepti did my bridal mehndi (henna) and ceremony in late August 2014. Deepti was pleasant, easy to work with, flexible, and did a FANTASTIC job on my henna and all my guests' henna. her prices are very reasonable. i am white female and married an Indian man. Deepti helped me understand henna more and walked me through the process, since i knew very little about henna prior to the wedding. All the guests at the mehndi ceremony really enjoyed their time with Deepti. my Indian mother-in-law was thrilled with everything. hiring Deepti was one of the best things i did for my wedding! read more

Deepti came to my bridal shower and her henna was a hit! Most of my friends only knew of henna from King's Dominion or wherever and hadn't ventured into bold hand designs before. Everyone really enjoyed her beautiful designs and were impressed that she did everything free hand. I've passed her information along to many interested and can't recommend her enough! read more

My fiancé contacted Deepti to come do my henna a few days prior to our engagement party while a different artist did the other women's designs. Deepti was extremely professional but so warm and kind, as well. As someone fairly unfamiliar with Indian culture and now marrying an Indian man, I'm always so appreciative of people like Deepti who are so excited and willing to tell me more about this beautiful culture! She was great at listening to my vague description of designs that I liked and came up with something so gorgeous and unique. Not to mention that the stain turned out so dark--I've received so many compliments and I really hope I'll be able to use her again when it comes time for my wedding! read more

My experience with Deepti was wonderful from the very beginning. I did a search online for Henna artists in DC and her website was the first one that popped up. She got back to me in a timely manner and was extremely professional. Upon meeting her for my appointment, things were great. She had a variety of designs to choose from. She was also very open to suggestions I had. Once we decided on the design, Deepti was extremely fast with her intricacy on applying my Mehndi. I was impressed with how beautiful the design was, but even more with how it seemed so easy for her to do this. I also had a great time chatting with her while she applied the mehndi. I would highly recommend anyone getting married or a girls night party or shower or anyone interested in applying henna/mehndi to use Henna Harmony! Professional, friendly, and extremely talented! read more

I had the pleasure of getting henna art from Deepti. What a lovely treat! For starters I'd like to clarify that it is not straightforward to find a talented henna artist in the DC metro area. There are people, who aren't so skilled, who only do wedding parties, who live many hours away, etc. It felt like a complete miracle to find this shop! Her work is a labor of love. You can tell that she is a very kind, compassionate person and her art really makes her happy. Good for the rest of us, as she is superb at it. The designs that she offers span the spectrum from traditional to more innovative; if you can envision it she can help you get it done. She travels to local farmers markets so be on the lookout for her there too. Overall Deepti was extremely responsive to email, very helpful in design selection, and incredibly fairly priced. I'm delighted that I got the chance to get henna from her, as not all artists use scratch henna cones and organic materials. Thanks Yelp! read more

Going through chemo and preparing for a wedding as the maid of honor, my friends and I decided a 'henna crown,' or design on the scalp, would be a wonderful artistic and festive thing to do. I worked with Deepti in advance to create the design, and she was extremely patient as I researched designs I liked that could be integrated in. On the day of the application, Deepti was so attentive and friendly - always checking in to make sure I was happy with the progress. Her artistry was top-notch, and she was more than happy to make changes on the fly. I'm so happy with the resulting design and application (it's absolutely gorgeous!!!) and it was a very pleasant afternoon overall. I'd highly recommend her, and I can't wait for my next excuse to do some more henna! read more

I had such an amazing experience with Deepti! First of all, I found her on yelp and called her directly. She was professional, accommodating and easy to talk to on the phone. I called her on Wed morning for an appt that day. It was super short notice and she totally made time for me! I also sent her pics of previous work and asked for a price estimate. She totally stuck with her pricing and it was WELL worth it! She was flexible and totally got the concept of what I wanted/didn't want. She did an INCREDIBLE job! I am incredibly impressed with her work ethic, her excellent customer service skills and her desire to make her customers ecstatic (I was!). I completely recommend Deepti (Henna Harmony) for her splendid henna/mendhi work! read more

Deepti is very professional and also such a talented artist. Beautiful handiwork for wine glasses and candles. Highly recommended.

Deepti is highly recommended! We hired her for our wedding celebration and she was a hit with our guests! From the moment we contacted her to inquire about availability and pricing to the last moments of the party, she was great to work with! She's super talented, came prepared and works quickly to get the line moving! Some of our guests even had the chance to get a second round in! She makes her own henna and also brought design photos, which was great since most of our guests had no idea what to expect. You won't go wrong hiring Henna Harmony for your event. read more

The henna artist I had originally scheduled for my daughter's 9th birthday party had cancelled with only a couple weeks notice so I searched the Internet and found Henna Harmony. Deepti was able to accomodate our already scheduled birthday party with short notice. The girls LOVED their henna tattoos and thoroughly enjoyed showing them off to their friends! I (birthday girl's mom) even got one myself and admire it every day! I can't wait to use her for a future party - whether for another one of my daughters or for a party of my own! Super sweet, professional and great with kids! read more

Deepti, the owner, makes her own henna so it smells nice and not like chemicals (which most other henna does smell like). She was very pleasant and easy to talk to, which is nice considering it usually takes a couple of hours for wedding henna to be done! She also did my friends and family pretty quickly. Finally, she did an in-person consultation before my wedding where we looked through books to get an idea of what I liked ( she can basically do anything you want!) and she then did a sample on my hands. Highly recommend her!! read more

I hired Deepti for a bridal shower this past weekend! She is professional from start to finish. My email communications were answered promptly, she arrived at the arranged time and was just lovely to work with for our group of 12 ladies. The weather was fantastic so we were outside on the deck and I believe everyone loved her designs. We were even able to convince people that were skeptical about getting a tattoo. Her work is beautiful and she has lots of great options and can help create something unique too! I would highly recommend Deepti in and will be using her again in the future. read more
