I really appreciate that she told me everything she needed beforehand (I.e. nearby parking) so I could make sure the service went as efficiently as possible - especially since she traveled a long way. She was so easy to work with, used the ideas I had in mind and drew right on the spot. She used organic / homemade henna, gave me extra care items and provided great advice on aftercare to make sure the stain was as dark as possible and lasted. I ended up with a custom design of high quality. Received compliments non-stop and the henna stayed on for about 2 weeks. Would go for her services again :)

As the bride, you sit with your henna artist for approximately 6-7 hours and I could not have asked for a better person to spend time with while getting my henna done! I highly recommend Naseem for your bridal henna!!

Sitarah is an absolute gem of a human. She did my bridal henna and my mother's as well! I had…read moreseveral inspirations and she was able to meld them into a cohesive work of art. She is so personable and makes it an all around fun experience -- by the end of it I felt like I was chatting up a friend! She happened to know the second artist I hired and they were absolutely elated to see her, which goes to show she has a highly connected community. I did end up having a pretty severe allergic reaction but my mother did not so it was likely a personal issue. I went to a dermatologist, as I do have extremely sensitive skin, so that is something to consider if you are in the same boat. Perhaps, set up a patch test WELL in advance (my reaction was delayed by approximately 2 weeks -- but like I said, my mother was completely fine and I confirmed it was natural products in the henna). That aside, I stained amazingly well and it stayed for well over a week to a week and a half (I work in a hospital, so I wash my hands a lot)! I received SO many compliments. Prices are competitive, if not slightly more affordable than others in NoVA with similar expertise. I definitely recommend Sitarah for weddings, showers, parties, or whatever your event may be!

The Mendhi application is such a pivotal moment in the wedding festivities. It's really the first time as a bride you get to sit still, relax, and step away from all the planning and chaos. You physically can't do much, and that quiet time matters. Having Roma there made that moment even more special. She's sweet, calming, and genuinely fun to be around. She helped ease my wedding planning stress and made me feel completely at peace. The Mendhi smelled amazing, and you could feel the love she put into every part of the process. Her attention to detail is incredible--the design was flawlessly continuous from the front of my arms to the back, which is so hard to pull off. She was also so patient throughout. I'm so grateful Roma was a part of that moment. She brought beauty, care, and calm exactly when I needed it most.
