If the issue couldn't be resolved, I should have been notified before leaving--not after I had to point it out myself. I did receive a refund, which I appreciate, but I genuinely wanted this to work. It seemed like the manager had already made up her mind that nothing further could be done, and there was no real effort to try to resolve the issue. At that point, I simply asked for my item back so I could take it somewhere that handles items with more care and attention to detail. It honestly made me question whether my comforter was mixed in with others during the process, especially since I take great care in maintaining it, including regularly steam disinfecting it at home. What was also frustrating was that instead of focusing on my concern, the manager began explaining how other customers' items can come in, as if I was expected to sympathize. My only concern was the condition of my item. Based on this experience, I would recommend keeping it simple here--stick to everyday dry cleaning. I would not suggest bringing larger bedding items like comforters or duvet covers, as the quality and attention to detail may not be consistent.

Over the…read morelast four months I have had three separate leather items repaired, cleaned and re-stiched/seamed. I had a leather jacket and two purses repaired. Bar none, the repairs were the best I have ever had done anywhere! The quality was outstanding! Their attention to detail is not something I see anymore. On all three repairs they found extra items that needed TLC and did them without extra charges. The staff is always friendly too. I would rate them 4 & 1/2 stars on their workmanship if I could. I would give Casmera 5 stars if they were not so in demand and took longer than expected for all the jobs. That is a great problem to have. Also, striving toward better communication with their customers about the repairs would definitely give them five stars. Don't go anywhere else. Go to Casmera. I brought in a pair of Tom Ford-era Gucci boots in good condition and a pair of custom Golden Goose high-top sneakers in need of a full resoling. The Gucci boots, which I found on The RealReal and date back to the late nineties to early two-thousands, needed a rubber sole added to preserve their integrity for as long as possible. The rubber was perfectly cut and blended seamlessly with the leather of the original sole. As for the Golden Goose sneakers, I was nervous. I've heard horror stories from customers who went with third-party repair services instead of the brand's in-store $250 repair option. I took the risk of trusting this shop--because my family has been using it for years--and it paid off. The repair was excellent, every bit as good as what Golden Goose's own service should deliver. In conclusion, to the woman who complained about her two thousand dollar shoes: my two better, cooler, and more fashionable pairs look fantastic.
