Vegan Bomb Crepe
Alex G.

Best crepes I've eaten ever! Tasty, fulfilling, juicy, nutritious, delicious!!! Marisa is a great great chef, and a master when it comes to Gluten free items. And since she is always trying to have everyone tasting her delicious food, she made those crepes Gluten Free... AND VEGAN!! thanks for that Marisa!!! Vegan Bomb was A-MA-ZING!!! Really really delicious. PS. And wait until you try her desserts... out of this world.

Two carnivores in our crew got the Traditional. I got the Vegan Bomb. All were out of this world. The Vegan Bomb was literally overflowing with so many veggies it was almost too much! Can't wait to go back again and try more of the menu...

I love this place! New fave Saturday morning breakfast brunch spot. I had the Sunrise Crepe. The crepe takes over the whole plate. You get your money's worth here. I bet when they open their restaurant they will have a line wrapped around the building.

Lines at crepelandia.

Yummy crepes & even yummier gluten-free carrot cake. This is a food stand, not a brick & mortar restaurant. Very family oriented. There are even a few tables dispersed that you can sit at if you're not into walking and eating.

Crepe or cracker? Come on you used to be better than this!

This used to be good, recently quality has dropped, execution of crepes is terrible today. I got a super veg were the crepe was as crisp as a cracker and only half the veggies were partially cooked. Hope this doesn't continue cause this place can be good if effort is applied.

Enjoyed the Sunrise, and Nutella & Bananas Crapes at the pearl farmers market. Where else can you get Crapes here in San Antonio?

Really nice fresh ingredients. I had the chicken caprese. Great amount of everything, but way too much very good mozzarella cheese.

Took time to answer questions and describe menu items. The place was pretty chill but definitely seems like it can be lively during evening hours. They have live music during various times. Order blackened fish tacos with mushroom rice pilaf. Two fish tacos to an order but they were stuff plenty with fish. Usually rice pilaf is an afterlife most places; but this side was plenty flavorful. Definitely good enough to stand on its own. Order an old fashioned for a cocktail; and it was plenty boozy. Very bourbon forward. The ratios were a bit off but I enjoyed anyway. Looking forward to visiting them again soon to check out other key items as well as taking in some live music and a more lively atmosphere

The ordering process is similar to fast food; order at the counter, take a numbered cone, and wait for the server to bring out your food. I didn't really like ordering at the counter because it feels rushed and I didn't get the opportunity to review the menu thoroughly. I suggest viewing the menu online prior to arriving. We found seating at a table top section overlooking the live band that was playing. The restaurant has cool vibes, great decor, and it appeared very popular. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and a buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were presented well, portion sizes were huge, and overall flavor was good. Parking lot is small so street parking will most likely be your next best option. The restrooms are single use so there may be a wait. Overall it was a pretty good experience!

When it turned out that I could arrive earlier than I thought I'd be able to, I called the restaurant to see if they could take me earlier and they said sure, they had plenty of availability this evening. I took a Veo scooter over there, which was scary. The directions told me to go on to a street and through the railroad tracks, but there were signs saying Do Not Enter and such. But I got there safely. Ambiance: 3.5/5. The restaurant is small and dimly lit. There is a sort of a reddish glow to the pictures. Tables are very close together, and sometimes wobbly and in need of a stopper, which the staff is happy to take care of. Service: 5/5. My server Kenzie was very nice and informative. She was happy to chat a little about last night's Spurs game and the level of enthusiasm the city has for the team. I noticed she had a pleasant demeanor with the other customers too, like they were regulars maybe. Anyway, she made me feel welcome even though I was dining alone. I wish more servers in NYC had this kind of tableside manner. Food: 4.3/5. I really enjoyed the smell, density, and texture of the milk bread. The duck charcuterie was pretty good, although I didn't care for the potato crisps and I don't think I got any sour cherry on mine. The ribeye was cooked medium rare and was too chewy/sinewy for my taste. The temperature was also too low. To her credit, Kenzie said "it's served medium rare, is that okay?" and I said "could you do medium rare plus?" and I hated myself as soon as the words came out of my mouth. I don't like to make trouble for people. They did their best, but it was still underdone to my liking. Moreover, it was heavily sauced. I feel like steak should not be reliant on sauce. I understand that Chef Kim is an alumnus of Melisse (I went to Citrin in LA a few years ago, eponymous by the same chef) and that French technique may emphasize sauce, but I thought it was too much. What saved the meal was the dessert. The butter cake was really rich and delicious. I was informed that they make it fresh and that's why it takes longer to come out than the other dessert (which this evening happened to be a chocolate mousse with pistachio topping). The whipped cream and berries are kind of what you would expect would be associated with a cake such as this, but they were executed nicely. In all, a great experience amplified by the quality of the service. Best wishes to the staff. I hope it is a pleasant non toxic place to work.

The service was friendly and attentive, our server was excellent and made sure to check if we had any food allergies before we placed our orders. We ordered the Bread (milk bread with butter) which has to be some of our favorite bread in town we decided after devouring it. Then we shared the mushroom risotto (the restaurant encourages sharing as the entrees are family style). The mushrooms risotto was both our favorite dishes. My husband had never had risotto before and as a former long time vegetarian I've had my fair share of risotto. It was incredible, the mushrooms had a meaty texture and an umami flavor. It almost tasted like macaroni and cheese which may seem like an odd comparison but it was sooo good !! Then we shared the fish and chips which the skin of the fish was crispy yet not too heavy. My only blight with the meal yesterday was that the fries seemed underdone and a little cold and for a family style serving there wasn't much sauce to share between two people. Overall we'd love to return! I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting town or other locals.

However, I will elaborate further below. Came here for a double date. Seating is limited so make sure you make your rezzies. Sad that Fabian is no longer here. The lamb empanada was a crowd favorite. Wasn't too oily and had great texture. The taco samosa was subtle but lacked a little bit in flavor. The quail biryani came with this avocado creme sauce that was bomb but the quail itself was pretty bland. The sea bass was cooked perfectly but I was a bit disappointed in that the curry lacked flavor. As someone who loves Indian spices/flavors, I felt like a lot was held back which is why I am giving this place a 4 for the first time. Service was quick and food and drinks were almost always filled throughout the night.

Overall: 4.6/5 [dine in]…read more Phenomenal service from start to finish. They were able to seat us on the patio as a walk in on a Saturday night, checked in to offer us a spot by the fireplace when it opened up, kept our water filled throughout the night, and even asked how we wanted our food served. Little touches like that really make a difference. They also brought out complimentary ciabatta bread when we were first seated and then without us asking, brought a fresh batch after our appetizer. The second round was better, with a nice crispy edge that made that satisfying crunch when you squeezed it. Really good with the butter, though if the butter had been just a little saltier it would have been perfect. Beef Carpaccio ($32): Good but average. The individual components were all there but the dish felt like it was missing cohesion. The black sesame parmesan tuiles were a standout though. Georges Bank Seared Sea Scallop ($49): Three huge scallops cooked phenomenally. The mushroom risotto was a bit al dente and on the saltier side, and the mushroom flavor didn't come through as much as I would have liked. The squid ink beurre blanc was lovely though and really brought the dish together. Despite the risotto I would still order this again just for those scallops. Duck and Foie Gras ($46): The duck was cooked beautifully and the foie gras wasn't too heavy, just the right amount. I loved the strawberry arugula salad that came with it. The pairing worked really well overall. I personally didn't think butternut squash was the right puree choice but my husband disagreed and absolutely loved this dish. Foucher Sancerre Rosé ($15 glass): I am usually not a fan of rosé because of how dry they tend to be, but this one was not bad. It tasted much better when paired with food. August Riesling ($12 glass): A yummy, sweet drink that is refreshing and easy to drink. I had to pace myself or I would have finished it before the main courses even came out.
