This is the first time here at LA cafe. We got here before 11 am. The cafe is full. There is alot of food and dessert to try. The service is also fast for this time and they served our food within few minutes. Most of the food we order is good except for the crepe it is a little bit chewy than a regular crepe.They also have alot of tables outside if the cafe is full which is nice. Definitely coming back to try the viral fruit dessert.
I was a little bit skeptical each time some places claim to be authentic Mediterranean. I'm glad I gave this place a shot. A chef from the kitchen spoke the language and this is legit! They got the baklava (too bad we had it take out) or it would be great to try their Turkish coffee. Next time. I got the Dubai chocolate bar and it was delish. They give military discount so that's a plus! This would be a good night spot as well they have the outdoor seating which is rare in this area.

One wall has booth seating across it with a chair on the other side of the table. There's also a couch with some comfortable chairs near a coffee table for a more relaxed feel. The employees greeted us with a quick "welcome in!" the moment we walked in despite having someone at the cashier counter ready to order. When we were ordering they did the same thing which may come across as rude to some, but I actually felt it was very inviting and appropriate. There are cases of pastries and some gelato across the counter to explore as you wait to order. The menu is a bit hard to read as I don't have the best eyesight even with my contacts. I'm not sure if they offer handheld menus, I didn't bother asking, but I did take a photo and zoom in to help see the descriptions better. The food was delicious. My husband ordered the Turkish breakfast which came with a lot of different items. He also got the tiramisu latte and said it was really good- for someone that doesn't like coffee that probably means it didn't taste much like coffee! I got the Belgian waffle which comes with chocolate and bananas. It was good, but there was quite a bit of chocolate on there so take that as you will. The flavor was good, though! I also got a dulce de leche latte which was amazing. I'll definitely swing through just for a coffee from time to time. Overall it was a great experience and we will be back when we're in the mood for that food in particular. If you're looking for a traditional American breakfast, they have avocado toast which comes piled with scrambled eggs as well as a croissant sandwich without meat. Those would be what we try next time we visit.

Special shout out to the strawberry pastry it was absolutely delicious. I also really enjoyed the salad served alongside my salmon toast. The tomatoes and salad dressing had a really unique flavor that i thoroughly enjoyed. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing spot to enjoy some pastries and coffee with the family or with friends.
I had a wonderful experience at La Cafe. I ordered the honeycomb latte, and it was absolutely delicious--perfectly balanced and not too sweet. I also had the croissant sandwich, which was fresh and excellent. We couldn't leave without trying their famous fruit dessert. I went with the strawberry mousse, which wasn't quite my favorite, but the pistachio cookie completely stole the show--OMG, it was amazing! I will definitely be coming back. The only negative I experienced was no one greeting me when I walked in or at some point. There's plenty of parking all around the building.
I lovee the ambiance here! Maybe it is the eiffel tower decoration at the front door, but it makes you feel like you're travelling to a bakery in Paris haha (I never been there so idk). I came here specifically for the fruit shaped mousse cakes. I tried the mango and the christmas tree (pistachio flavor). I am absolutely in lovee with the mango mousse cake! I has a chocolate shell and I love the crunch! The mousse is also light and fluffy. The mango puree in there is also sweet and juicy. I'll need 5 more of these. The christmas tree didn't have have a chocolate shell, so it was all mousse. The flavor on this is great, it has a good hint of pistachio flavor it is not too overpowering. Service was great. The person taking my order was very nice and recommended these 2 items. However, the interior is very dirty and messy. There were a lot of tables uncleaned and the floor had a lot of trash.
Cute small little dessert spot The staff were very helpful and so nice, they allowed me to have my Book Club here and set up a cute little area. I had the baklava coffee and baklava and it was amazing.
The place itself is really pretty. Lots of seating and I loved the Paris theme they had going on but I did not like the coffee. I had an iced Mocah latte. It lacked flavor both Mocah and Espresso wise. It looked like water. Maybe I'll try something else on the menu next time. I did not try any of the pastries.

The food and pastry options were on fire! I could eat their everyday and not run out of options. Lots of coffe options to choose from a well. My group ordered baklava latte, decaf German chocolate and white mocha, all were and perfect blend of sweet without too much sugary flavor. Avocado toast with egg, croissant breakfast sandwich, and Nutella crepe with bananas. Sooo good. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked - so fluffy and not dried out. Service was fabulous, they made some recommendations after we asked, bring the order to you, no calling out names.
I've done one to go order for breakfast and picked up desserts on another occasion. There is a lot of seating and it's really bright with natural light. Service was relatively quick and there are all kinds of options for everyone. You have to check it out. It's a quality cafe and much needed in this area.
They were pretty busy inside on a Sunday morning but were grateful we were able to snag outdoor space when it was vacant. They gave us numbers for our table and brought our food and drinks out to us. I really liked how they did Nutella crepe- not overly sweet but just enough of the Nutella and you could enjoy taste of crepe. The baklava latte was tasty but I somehow wished it was in an actual mug since I was dining in the restaurant. My niece enjoyed her salmon toast a lot. My niece ordered a peach smoothie and mango fruit pastry she liked. My brother liked his Turkish coffee okay. The owner came out to check on us and I thought that was humble of her to take our empty plates for us. I would come here again. read more

My friends from out of town (who used to live in San Antonio) wanted to try La Cafe :) ! It was a fantastic choice because this gem of a cafe is located in the Alamo Ranch area, and we had never been to this trendy side of San Antonio before :D ! We absolutely loved the Parisian cafe theme, with cute Eiffel Tower decorations all around :) ! We tried the artistic - looking peach dessert with fruity filling on the inside :) ! As well as the matcha baklava that was very unique and delicious ;) ! The coffee choices are very rich and flavorful, and not too sweet or bitter :) ! Interestingly, there is also gelato as well in this Parisian - themed cafe :D ! How perfect is it to pair gelato and coffee choices together for a relaxing afternoon ;) ? The two employees who took our orders at the counter were very friendly and courteous :) ! This is the closest we could get to Paris for now :) ! We would highly recommend this cute cafe to anyone who is visiting the Alamo Ranch area :D ! read more

First time of here, just walking in the presentation of the desserts and food was fantastic. First time I've ever eaten every bit of food I've ordered but still had room for dessert and it was awesome. Highly recommend this place will be coming back. read more

I knew I wanted to check this place out while passing it while while leaving our neighborhood. I needed a place to work for a few hours so stopped in. Their pastries are works of art! I chose one that I swear looked like it would be $20 it was so exquisite. However, I grew up working in my parents' donut shop, so I always am slightly underwhelmed when I get a fancy pastry that is not so sweet. There are dozens of choices, so I'll be back to find one that hits the sweet spot for me. The space is very well appointed. There are tables outside with some shade depending on the time of day and your tolerance of non-climate controlled air. read more

Great spot to pick up lunch or a sweet treat. I did wish their desserts had names and descriptions but the mousse is self explanatory. The peach is peach flavored and so on. I don't like bothering staff with a million questions so I went with what's safe in my book, since my husband and I have some fruit allergies. I also took home some chocolate dessert but since they don't have name idk what it was, but it was tasty. The panini was fantastic and came with a salad which was a nice surprise. Staff is friendly and Vibes are nice, a mix of people some getting work done and some families. There are 2 outdoor seating areas. Overall will return and try some coffee next time. read more
We stopped by after seeing the pastries online, they looked beautiful. However, after asking a few questions, most of the filled "french" pastries actually had the same filling - either vanilla or chocolate mousse. I asked the young woman what the pumpkin pastry was filled with, and after joking that she didn't know, she said it had a pumpkin jelly filling. I ordered a strawberry cube, a pumpkin with vanilla flavor, and baklava. After a few bites of the pumkin there was no trace of pumpkin flavor jelly. Both of the "french" pastries were just vanilla. I'm leaving out the mousse because it wasn't a mousse texture, more dense like. We were disappointed after trying the French pastries. I went online to read more reviews and noticed that the strawberry cube is supposed to have a strawberry filling. So, I cracked the entire strawberry cube and the "filling" was just a small bit on the top corner. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place for their "french" pastries, though the baklava was quite good. read more

Beautiful and inviting hidden gem. We went at about 9 am on a week day and it was not too busy. The food did take a while but we understood they are a small business with limited staff. The barista who assisted us was soooo patient, accommodating and kind (plus beautiful) and made our first experience very memorable. The waffles were all delicious and lattes thoughtfully made. A great place to meet up with friends, Book clubs or just go study. They are a coffee shop with an amazing pastry item selection. They also have a small menu of main dishes and crepes. I am not a big fan of sweet drinks, so I was afraid to order her a latte as they use flavoring syrup pumps. I ended up ordering the pistachio eclair and Earl Grey tea. The pistachio eclair was so worth it. It had a pistachio filling. I was able to have a taste of my friend's crepe and latte. The latte was surprisingly not as sweet as I expected it to be. The crepe my friend ordered was a good size and had a good amount of bananas. One of my friends did get the carrot cake and it wasn't what we expected. It was dry. The place is very cute and has plenty of seating. The noise level is appropriate. They do have a little outside area as well. Parking is available on site, but share with the other businesses so it can get busy. The service was excellent. read more

My Turkish breakfast plate was delicious and very inviting. It came with sweet tomato's, slice cucumbers, slices mozzarella cheese, cream, cheese, raspberry jam, honey that was to die for...,Oliver's and large toasted sesame bagel. My daughter's Caprese Toast very tasty with each bite you want more. We had cappuccino and Turkish coffee with our meal. Afterward we tried their devilish desserts. There were so many to choose from. We finally decided on the strawberry, pistachio cannolis and chocolate moose. It was so delicious! The service was great. At cashiers was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu and recommended the Caprese Toast for my daughter. The atmosphere and decor were incredible cute and memorable. We will definitely be back. We are on the other side of town but the drive it wroth the drive. read more
NEW ELEVATED BAKERY & CAFE IN SAN ANTONIO TEXAS La Cafe needs to be on your list! This beautiful French patisserie with Turkish influences had its Grand Opening just 5/16 and I know San Antonio is going to love it! (The owners have confirmed the establishment is entirely HALAL by the way) They put a clear emphasis on their elevated desserts and pastries. These eye-catching desserts have unique molds and colors, being almost too pretty to eat They also sell some traditional Turkish baked goods such as Turkish bagels and borek, and even have Turkish delight! Also not to mention, chocolate on tap, which was used to make a delicious Dubai chocolate cheesecake! Don't forget to pair your baked goods with a cute cup of coffee! The sweetest barista made me a latte with the cutest bear latte art on it Feeling hungrier? Check out their menu for a savory sandwich, crepe, or waffle! These items just came out this week while they were in their soft opening phase! They have a pretty good breakfast menu too! If you ask me, everything was a great pick, so you can't go wrong! I absolutely love their strawberry cake rolls--they have real chunks of strawberries and aren't overly sweet, which is perfect if you're watching your sugar but still want to enjoy a treat.What I really appreciate is how versatile the space is. Whether you're meeting a client, catching up with friends, bringing your kids to relax on the cozy couches with a book, or hosting a team meeting at their large table, there's a spot for every mood.They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and I'm excited that they'll soon have an even wider variety of sandwiches--perfect for group meetings or a casual visit. Their dessert selection is impressive too, from fruit-filled cakes to unique chocolate treats like crêpes and other Dubai-inspired sweets. And if you're a coffee or tea lover, they also have great refreshers to choose from.The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and feels like a place you can truly settle into. While the desserts are absolutely gorgeous they don't taste at all like "French mousse" as I was told it was when I took it back to the staff I was told "sorry you didn't know" so $29 in the trash The exterior is sticky and waxy and the "mousse" was a rubbery cheesecake type of texture and sooo sweet inside but the outside was pretty flavorless...for a spot that advertises French mousse desserts this was not the light and airy texture of any mousse I've tried before. And for $10.50 each piece it was a regretful experience the OATMILK latte was ok but it all went into the trash read more

I had high hopes for this café since a close friend picked it for my birthday brunch. The space itself is cute, clean, and has a really nice aesthetic. Unfortunately, the food and drinks didn't quite live up to the vibe. Parking was a bit of a nightmare to start. Once we got inside, the coffees and smoothies were surprisingly tiny for the price. The croissants tasted old and dry and were actually pretty tough to cut with a fork and knife. Fresh croissants should be flaky and pull apart easily, so that was disappointing. Most of the desserts were just okay. The chocolate on the large chocolate-covered strawberry tasted like a very low-grade chocolate, and the fruit tart lacked much flavor. The pistachio cake, however, was genuinely delicious and ended up being the standout of the table. Service was decent and the place is definitely cute, but overall the experience didn't quite match the hype I had hoped for--especially for a birthday brunch spot. read more

Wouldn't recommend this place at all. If you're looking to try the "viral pastries" and want something actually good save your time and go to Baklovah off of Wurzbach, It's much much better. The place is cute and there is outside seating which is nice, I only tried the mousse desserts so I can't speak about the other pastries but these were terrible, couldn't finish it after one bite The "Mousse" really just tastes like the cheap thick icing you'd find on a cheap cake. There's little to no fruit in there and is way too sweet. The Matcha was okay no real complaints there. The service was also fine but for a total of $50 for 3 pastries and a drink save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more
Everything was great! I can't wait to come back and try more. We order the cheesecake, fruit tart and some baklava. The tart was well made and the cheesecake was one of the best I've had. The tall guy making drinks and serving food was great. The girl at the register seemed new and couldn't answer our questions but she tried. The dining area was super cozy and they even had books and board games you could use. I totally recommend this place we definitely needed something like this in the area. read more

This is a little late review. I went a week or 2 after they opened. Seeing all the positive reviews and pictures I had hopes that finally San Antonio will have a solid French inspired bakery. Sadly it was not the case. Yes all the desserts are beautiful however coming from a country that has so many French bakeries this place isn't it! Still it is a very cute place for a get together and enjoying a coffee and pair it with something sweet. The desserts are too sweet! The mousse is solid rock! Which I am realizing it is more a ganache than a mousse. I saw some desserts oozing in the case not sure if it is poor achievement or they have been sitting in there for a while The service was great! Very helpful and kind read more

The inside is cute and comfy but not spacious enough for the amount of business that they receive. The wait was out the door when we arrived Sunday around 11:30. The wait to order took about 30 minutes. When we got to the front the lady told us she was new so it took her a minute to get our order into the computer. The pastries were beautifully displayed and mainly the reason we came from seeing the online, but I didn't wanna ask too many questions because she didn't seem sure/confident in the menu. The wait for our coffee and one entree was about another 20 minutes. They were pretty busy so I will give them grace about that. The coffee was absolutely tasteless. The "graham cracker latte" was just cinnamon as if they took the top off and dumped it in. The croissant was delicious so that is the only reason they get 2 stars. Don't know if it's worth coming back to try the dessert. read more
10 out of 10 start to finish. As soon as the door opened, we were pleasantly greeted by two wonderful hostesses that were behind the counter. They have very nice couch seating, books to read, and tables. Then we began to survey the various desserts on display. They have baked items, cheesecakes, and so much more. I decide to have a slice of their burnt top cheesecake with a side of strawberry jam and my daughter had the cheesecake in a cup. Both were fantastically creamy and flavorful. They even gave us a plate of sliced strawberries. This was a perfect follow up to our dinner. read more

This restaurant is fairly new and is still establishing itself in the Alamo Ranch community. It was our first time visiting La Cafe and the experience was okay. Ambience was bright and clean. No background music playing to elevate the vibe though. Service was good and the cashier was knowledgeable about the drinks, but didn't say anything that made me feel like they were happy to have us. Food came out in a timely manner but nothing about it made it stand out in my opinion. I had the avocado toast w/ egg and I think it would've tasted better if there was a slice of tomato and a drizzle of balsamic on it. Speaking of balsamic, I did like their dressing on the greens. My husband ordered the breakfast sandwich and again, there was nothing that made it stand out. I also ordered their iced tiramisu latte w/ almond milk and it was good. Again, nothing about it really stood out. We ordered the creamy cheesecake to go, but haven't tried it yet. They had a variety of pastries and baked goods which looked interesting to me, and I would be willing to go back to try them another time. My guess is that they're Turkish goods, since they offered a few Turkish items on the menu. Another thing that I'd like to try are their crepes. When it was time to leave, we weren't sure if we left our dishes at the table or if we had to bus our dishes. I did see a long table next to the ordering counter, so I took our dishes there. There were a few workers behind the counter so I thought they'd take my dishes but they didn't, so I just set them in the counter. With the three of them standing there and assuming that we were leaving (my husband was at the door), they'd thank us for stopping by but they didn't say anything. All in all, I think with a little more effort to make customers feel welcome and appreciated as well as somehow elevating their food, this restaurant can do very well. read more

Very clean and well decorated environment upon walking in. No public restrooms! Staff was welcoming and answered all the questions we had. Nothing in the case had tags as to what it was. Our baklava coffee was good, they were out of butterscotch flavoring so they used caramel. Our pastry the Borek was very fresh and warm. It had Spinich and cream cheese inside. We will be back to this hidden gem for more! Especially the desserts! read more
Very disappointed. We were so excited for this cute cafe, but unfortunately our drinks were a fail. Although my honey comb latte was ok it wasn't hot, and our ICED matcha latte was awful-tasted like watered down ... not even sure how to describe it. It was so bad I asked for more matcha and a bit of cane sugar and when it was returned it was lukewarm, still unsweetened. As you can see from the photo, no ice. Not sure if they are still learning to make matcha since it wasn't on the menu but it was seriously so so bad I will never go there again. I leave 2 stars instead of 1 bc he was nice. read more
