The service was great, my coffee tasted fantastic and the vibes of the place is friendly and inviting. They have plenty of seating if you feel like lounging getting some work done, but they have a drive through as well if you are in a rush.

Came here with a friend recently and had a good experience. The inside was clean and had plenty of seats available. Thankfully we didn't have to wait long to place an order and the lady in front was very nice. She gave some recommendations and also confirmed a few things to make sure my friend didn't get sick (she has a glutten allergy). The coffees themselves were good. I had a matcha latte which was delicious and not overpowering at all. My friend had a regular coffee which she said she loved. I also did get a bean and cheese taco but I didn't really care for it. Seems they maybe pre-made the tacos or ordered them somewhere but wasn't a fan. Despite that, the drinks were good at least and if I happen to be in the area again I would consider coming back.

The atmosphere here is so warm and cozy! That's the first thing I noticed walking in. This is deff a place for a good coffee and a nice long talk with a friend. I noticed they have board games too near some seating areas. The cashier was super friendly and gave great recommendations. I tried a half sweet moon coffee. Whatever they put in that drink is so good! It's like a hug in a cup. My friend ordered a matcha latte which we loved.

Coffee Shop No. 510 Summer Moon Oak Roaster Coffee San Antonio, TX June 10, 2025 Moments after leaving my hotel, I wandered into Plaza de Las Islas Canarias and struck up a conversation with Miguel, an older gentleman relaxing at one of the plaza's bistro tables. When I told him I planned to hit five coffee shops before lunch, he laughed and called me a "nut," then texted his granddaughter -- a fellow coffee fanatic. Her reply was instant: "Go to Summer Moon and get a Winter Moon Latte." Later, the owner at Jacob's Bear Coffee gave me the same recommendation. While savoring their smooth cortado, I ordered an Uber straight to Summer Moon in the Tobin Hill neighborhood. At the counter, I told the barista two different people had sent me their way. His proud smile said it all as he explained their beans are oak-roasted and their drinks made with a house-made sweet cream called Moon Milk. Naturally, I ordered both a cortado and a Half Winter Moon Latte. The cortado was solid, but that latte... wow. I rarely order iced lattes, yet this one was rich, smooth, and unforgettable. Easily one of the best I've ever had. Bravo. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!

Came to Summer Moon Coffee for the first time today. The drive thru line was pretty long which is always a good sign. Went inside to check it out and the atmosphere was like what you would expect a coffee shop to be. They had coffee grounds/beans, their house milk you can buy, and also shirts. They have pastries which we didn't try. The barista Maritza was very nice and helpful she offered to let us try their milk to see how sweet it is. They have multiple options.

The signature moon milk is delicious! And the workers are always very nice. But the inside it a bit cramped and hard to find a seat to study. The drive thru is 50/50 it can be super quick or there's a long line and you have to wait 20min. The prices have also increased immensely the past few years :/

Love the coffee here but mostly come for the warmed up cinnamon rolls! That's where it's at! My go to order 16oz. iced half winter moon with caramel drizzle! The workers are always so helpful just in case you aren't sure what to order! The place is a bit small but their drive thru is pretty quick! There is also seating outside.

I forgot to mention they offer decaf and the moon milk can be almond or oat. Always a great visit! Staff is helpful.

PERFECTION.... I am a chai tea person. I asked about their Moon Chai and I have been obsessed. They have a drive thru so you can easily feed your addiction like me! The moon chai was very milky and creamy. I also got a vegan potato chorizo inspired kolache. Very tasty! This place is more for the drinks because they were sold out of the food items by 12pm

Coffee is always made fresh to order and the moon milk is 10/10! I love the blue moon! Service is good , ambience is fine for a coffee shop.

    My favorite water bottle ever!

We go every Sunday. Hands down the best coffee I've ever had - if you've never been, you NEED to try it at least once. You'll be hooked after. Their moon milk changes the entire texture and flavor profile. Their pastries are devine, especially the lemon poppyseed, blueberry, and banana nut! We like their muffins, too - super big and moist (we just prefer breads) Over Christmas they had these super cute water bottles. They were sold out before I bought one, but the shift supervisor included one with their inventory order for me so I could get it!

FIRST TIME VISIT!…read more Walked in on a whim after a bday dinner for the hubby at the Texas Roadhouse. I was in search of a sweet treat to celebrate at home and boy, was I ever in for a treat! THE LOCATION: in a bustling and popular shopping center with tons of parking, and other fun businesses, right off the 1604 in the Alamo Ranch area. I have no idea what to expect so I just burst thru the doors like I owned the joint ready to embrace something new. THE MENU: aside from some lovely beverages, the dessert offerings are pretty straightforward. CHEESECAKE!!! And in the best possible, gourmet, decadent way. My eyes were popping out of my head! THE SERVICE: Lucky for me, a very patient gentleman behind the counter was available to assist me during a lull. I'm very grateful for the time he took to answer all my questions. THE GOODS: I knew I wanted cheesecake tonight, but after watching those sweet treats watching me right back through a shield of glass, I understood that I NEEDED cheesecake, and stat! While there were sooo many flavors available in the jars, I wanted to eat cheesecake the traditional way; with a fork to slowly dissect and discover the flavors and texture of each layer. By all appearances, these treats are not your average cheesecake and I'm so intrigued. I choose one slice of each flavor available. At $9 per slice, I'm lucky there were only 3 flavors at this hour. Lol! The jars, btw, are $7 each. Now, I had to ask what ingredients were in each flavor becs there is no written description anywhere in the store. The names do no justice in identifying what you're getting either. Names like "Summer Daze" and "Midnight Berry" leave much to the imagination. Sure, you can see chocolate and/or raspberries, but believe me... you don't really know what treasure you've got until it's melting on your tongue. I can't get home quick enough to meet up with the hubby again. Yayyyyyy! Dessert!!! THE TASTES: Heaven. Nirvana. Jack standing at the bow, arms stretched wide shouting, "I'm the king of the world!" That. That's what it's like. And I literally dissected and analyzed each lovely layer, mostly fluffy, decadent mousse, creamy, cheesy and rich. The crust bottoms. Holy smokes! I actually avoid graham cracker crusts but not this one. A-MAZING. Another slice had a crisp shortbread-like crust. Like, WHO DOES THAT?! Omg. I gorged until I regretted rushing in. Total amateur move. I also secretly selected 2 of the 3 slices that I knew my hubby would turn his nose up to. HAHAHAHAHA! Joke's on him. Trust me. Seriously, trust me. If you love cheesecake, mousse, fresh and tart fruit flavors (like fresh fruits and lemon curd!), give a slice or jar a try. And try a lovely match drink, too. Maybe I'll see you there!

Since this location was closer, a friend and I decided to give it a try. I ordered the Mexican Cubana with lentil soup and a Banana Nut Matcha Latte. The Cubana was absolutely out of this world. Everything about it was perfect. The lentil soup was also very good, although my friend ordered the black bean soup, and I think I might have been missing out. LOL. The sandwich and soup are definitely on the higher end price-wise, but I wouldn't let that stop you. There is plenty of value in the meal, and the sandwich is incredibly hearty. Both my friend and I had to take half of ours to go, which is something I seldom do. The Banana Nut Matcha Latte, however, was not for me. At $7.50, I expected more and would probably skip it next time. The atmosphere was very nice. They have indoor and outdoor seating; the restaurant was very clean, and even though it was extremely busy, there was still enough room to move around comfortably. They also have a coffee bar that doubles as a regular bar. Unfortunately, the customer service experience is what brought my rating down to 3 stars--and I honestly considered giving it 2.5. I understand this was a busy Saturday morning, especially with the restaurant being near a major entertainment and shopping area. We waited in a line outside, which did not bother me. The bigger issue was what happened once we got inside. Everyone enters the same line, moving first through the pastry counter--AND THE PASTRIES ARE HEAVEN!--before eventually reaching the register to order and pay. You are then given a table number and your food is delivered to you. I've been to plenty of restaurants that operate this way, but the flow here felt unnecessarily chaotic. Everyone was placed into the same line regardless of whether they were dining in, ordering food to go, or simply stopping in for pastries. I think having separate service areas or lines could help tremendously. It was also obvious that some of the staff were overwhelmed by how busy things had become. Unfortunately, that frustration seemed to spill over into some customer interactions, and a few employees came across as less than warm or welcoming. It may simply have been a difficult morning, but it definitely affected our experience. The bright spot was having the opportunity to speak with the manager on shift, Ms. Charisma. She was professional, empathetic, and genuinely listened to my concerns. She did not make excuses or try to justify what happened. She offered to compensate us for our meal, which we declined, but I truly appreciated the gesture. I wasn't looking for a free meal. I wanted another great experience that would make me excited to come back. Before this visit, I had been to the downtown location twice, and both experiences were fantastic. I had actually considered it one of the best cafes I'd found in San Antonio so far. That's why this visit was especially disappointing. I was excited to introduce a friend to a place I enjoyed so much, only to have a very different experience. Maybe it is location-dependent. Maybe it was simply the time of day or an especially difficult Saturday morning. What makes it frustrating is that the food itself was outstanding--a perfect 10/10. I was completely satisfied with my meal, but the service experience made it difficult to fully enjoy it. The location is also great, in a newer shopping center near La Cantera Resort and Six Flags. Parking wasn't terrible, although weekends can be challenging. I imagine it would be much easier during the week. Overall: Food: 5/5 Atmosphere: 5/5 Service: Needs improvement Overall: 3/5 Thank you, Ms. Charisma, for taking the time to listen and for handling the situation with professionalism and empathy. Because of that interaction, I am willing to give this location another chance.
