Awesome local coffee shop! Their drinks are so delicious! The product quality is consistently outstanding. The staff is also friendly which is a bonus.

Such a cute little hole in the wall coffee shop located deep in the heart of the Southside! I spotted this gem when I was leaving my Mother-in-law's house and had to check it out being the coffee lover that I am. I'm happy to report that I was not disappointed! Just like the name implies, it's located on a corner. The simple yet cute presentation on the outside is what drew my attention to this place. The giant Frapples on the building called out to me. I really like the fact that they have a walk up window in addition to the indoor cafe area. With Covid on the rise, it's best to play it safe. I used the walk up window to place my order. I decided to go with their signature drink, a La Canela Loca. It consists of milk, cinnamon & vanilla flavor, two shots of expresso, and cinnamon topping. It's practically a dessert coffee. You get the best of both worlds, the sweetness and that caffeine kick. Needless to say that I'm now definitely a fan of this yummy drink! I didn't try anything else but I certainly would like to try a Frapple once the weather warms up a bit. This will certainly be my go to stop for coffee when I'm in the area. It's nice to have a local coffee shop on the Southside.

The southside of San Antonio is a coffee house desert, but Corner Coffee and More is a refreshing oasis. They have a large drink menu with some fun specialties like the Canela Loca. (If you don't speak Spanish, Google it. You'll get the idea.) The ambiance is a little industrial but clean. In fact, they have a 100% health code rating. There's free Wi-Fi, and it's a good spot for working. Plenty of people bring their kids for the ice cream type drinks. It's very family friendly. The service is really welcoming, and they play a nice variety of music.

TLDR; GOOD LOCAL COFFEE SHOP Found this coffee shop randomly on Google after we moved here. I love that it's a local spot with great pricing and large drinks! La Canela Loca has quickly become my favorite drink! It's basically an iced caramel macchiato. If you're looking for a place locally you can get on your laptop, connect to wifi, enjoy some coffee and do some work this is for sure the place. I will most definitely be coming back.

The coffee is so good it's amazing it's so delicious if you like sweet definitely come here way better than Starbucks and really good prices

Love this place. Local, with great prices and even better coffee. Most places iced coffee has a bitter aftertaste , yes even Starbucks. Instead of paying $6 for a bitter iced coffee, come here for a SUPER SIZED, yes super sized iced coffee for 3.50. There's pastries for the kiddos and a comfortable ambiance. Girl that makes my coffee is the bomb, will continue coming.

Great place to get work done

I pipped in on a Sunday to do some work. There was people standing within the sitting area conversing and so I didn't go sit within that area because they were pretty spread out. So I found a smaller table towards the wall and situated myself there. Not sure if that happens often but Im glad there was an open spot to work. I dont go to coffee shops often to just sit or work but this was a good experience. This is my second time getting the chai tea latte. Its delicious and flavorful.

Recommend: Yes…read more After visiting Karolinas, I was in the mood for some coffee and a quiet spot to read, and I happened upon San Antonio Gold--so glad I did! At first, from the outside, I thought I was walking into a barbershop because of the door, but stepping inside was a fun surprise. The space is really unique--almost like a mini indoor shopping mall. The coffee shop is right at the front, but as you walk further back, there's a barbershop and a few other small shops to explore. Despite all that, it still has a chill, relaxed vibe. Plenty of seating and big windows make it perfect for hanging out with a book. I ordered the Holiday Inn Cambodia coffee, and it was fantastic. the service was great. Barista gave me a few recommendations. I'll definitely be back--this is a great spot to unwind, read, or just get out of the house for a little while. Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Now onto Gold, I was a bit bummed when he wasn't at the trailer but happy he opened up his own shop and started visiting regularly. From its humble beginnings of a few bar stools, limited menu, and a small space to the wide open space that is Gold today, the constants have been killer coffee, awesome service, and great convo if it's not a mad rush. From standard drip to espresso to imaginative inventions, the coffee is top notch. If you're hankering for something different, talk to them a they will take care of you. Staff has always been awesome and they definitely know what they're doing. I once asked about chemex ratios and was given an on the spot class. If you don't like good coffee, good service or a solid place to chill, then this may not be your place. Also, they let me bring my doggo, Pancho, in, what's not to love?!

This time, Tandem was the venue of choice. I really liked the place. It was very laid back and comfortable with a bit of a dive bar atmosphere. The seating included sofa areas, small table, and larger tables. It was not brightly lit, and the music was nice. We went to the counter to place our orders. They had sandwiches already made in an icebox. When ordered, the guy put them in a waffle iron before serving. I had the Cubano, and let me tell you- it was the best one I have ever had. It was so crispy and delicious. My only comment is that it could have used a bit more mustard. I also had an iced Americano with Como La Flor syrup. That was a blend of lavender and blueberry and was house-made. It sounded awesome and delivered awesomeness in every sip. I will definitely be back. I have to try the waffle pressed peanut butter and jelly!

It's a fun place even from the outside! They have coffee, beer, and wine. The barista was friendly and answered our questions. I did a nitro brew with their homemade Mexican vanilla syrup. I do not like sweet coffee and told the barista that. She said they do 1.5 oz of syrup. Which is a lot for my liking. I asked her to put .5 an oz only and it was perfect! They have events here too. Tandem is a place I would put in my rotation!

I finally made my way to this location on a Saturday morning at 10 AM right before it became super busy. What makes this location special is their medium roasted Guatemalan Bean and their tailored coffee creations. Their coffee is perfect. Not bitter, weak, or too strong. I think this is a great place for people who know what they want, but the ladies here are so kind and helpful and personally assisted me to create an amazing coffee. I ordered a blackberry cheesecake with almond milk and extra shot of espresso and requested the marshmallow toasted topping because I love aesthetics. Nothing I Can't Handle Coffee (abbreviated to NICH Coffee, not to be confused with Niche Coffee, which recently closed) is next to a pottery class in a hip side of S Presa. The shop is small but cozy, with a smattering of outdoor seats to compensate for the scant seating inside (though no less cozy, I really enjoyed my cushy window seat). I ordered a pistachio lemon bar, a cortado, and asked for a recommendation for a second drink. Angela, who took my order, said the South-EE is their most popular beverage, so I opted for that, hot. The lemon bar was very sweet with a puckering tartness in the frosting, but it paired beautifully with my cortado. The cortado was a little foamy but the flavor was robust and comforting, like being hugged by a lumberjack. The South-EE (espresso, brown sugar, cinnamon) - it took everything in me to not immediately chug this down. It was the perfect temperature by the time I was ready to drink it, and it was overall a yummy treat. The two staff holding down the fort that day were incredibly nice. Good folks, great drinks.
