Press Coffee is seriously one of my favorite spots in San Antonio. The coffee/espresso isn't the best (I got a iced vanilla latte) and can be quite bitter. The staff is efficient. However, the ambiance is AMAZING. The greenhouse is perfect for studying. There's lots of natural light, comfy seating, and even outdoor spots if you want some fresh air. Definitely my go-to when I need a chill place to get stuff done (not for the coffee tho). read more

My kids spotted this place on social media and frankly this place lends to being a social media darling for aesthetics rather than quality of the products! It was crazy crowded on a Saturday morning and the crowd wrapped around diners which I personally would not like if sat at a table! There are outside tables but they were filthy and covered in bird droppings !! Kids got a matcha and latte, my husband got an iced earl grey - it ended up in the trash after a few sips as it tasted like dirty ice which is a pretty terrible taste - if we weren't already on our way to the Pearl he would have returned it!! He tried the matcha and concurred that it also had bad ice !! Once they ordered they were told to expect a 20 minute wait - due to the fact there are only 2 members of staff! If you know how busy you get on Saturday- staff appropriately! There were people everywhere lingering waiting on drinks! Slow slow service and terrible drinks, cluttered and grubby looking ! Press Coffee is always a win! this was my second or third time visiting, and it never disappoints. I usually come with friends, and the coffee is consistently great. The whole place has a super chill vibe! perfect for studying, working away from home, or just catching up with someone. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, it's always clean, and the staff is seriously some of the friendliest around. On this visit, I got so caught up chatting with my friend that I totally missed when they called my name for my order. By the time I asked, they had already tossed it but they happily remade it without any attitude. So kind and understanding! Everyone I've interacted with there treats you like a friend. Great coffee, good snacks, and an all-around solid spot in the Alamo Heights area. Highly recommend! read more

Beautiful greenhouse-turned coffee shop. Pros: pretty space with indoor & outdoor seating. Cons: I ordered a 16 oz iced honey lavender latte and it had way too much milk and very little lavender syrup. Also, they charge 95 cents for alternative milk and 75 cents for syrup. Not cool. Overpriced for mediocre coffee. Service: not friendly, but not unfriendly. Just whatever. I had to say hello, how are you first. It should be the other way around. I've been here a few times way back, returned to see how it's doing and it was just as I remembered. The mocha was made with Valrhona chocolate and being a pastry chef I tasted the notes and it was so balanced, but rich, and decadent Busy yet cozy coffee shop vibe just as I remembered and the people are as friendly and speedy as they were before! read more

What a cool concept for a coffee shop! It's located inside a greenhouse and decorated with plants, punk rock music and has cool merch for sale. My dad loves this place, so he made sure to bring us to see. The coffee was good, and they had a good selection of cold drinks such as Jarritos and other non coffee drinks. The vibe here is so fun. They have a nice staff and great coffee. What more could you ask for? read more

This coffee shop is so aesthetically pleasing! The architecture is made to look like a greenhouse, and although it is small, they use the space well! I would love to sit down and study here one day. My husband and I have the goal try every coffee shop in the area. My hubby been wanting to try press coffee. I loved that they have great parking that's always a plus for me. It's actually smaller in the inside than it shows in photos. The workers were so nice. Even my husband forgot his wallet and they even saved it for him. To me that's excellent customer service. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is the bathrooms were sooooo dirty and even the tables they had dust on the ones upstairs even spider webs. Hopefully if we go back it'll be cleaner. read more

I've been dying to check this place out. Saw it on TikTok so it was added to my list. The location is hidden, passed it twice. It's behind a small restaurant. Loved the fall decor outside and it does have a handicap entrance on the other side. The inside is very tiny but cozy and there's two levels of seating. The menu is pretty simple. I ordered a latter with butter beer flavoring. It was delicious. There was a water jug set out for free, which is always great. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and great with suggestions of what to get on the menu. Would love to come back soon. read more

Picturesque coffee hole in a gorgeous sun lit hut by the Broadway shops. It's a smaller shop but with lively plants inside, warm seating arrangements with some spots to sit and lounge. It's a well decorated place. The overall brew and menu was great as well! I liked their options of house flavors for coffee, and quick friendly service. The man taking my order was very nice with explaining the menu to myself and younger sister who was happy to try their iced chai. I loved the lavender latte i ordered. Not overly sweet and the brew tasted rich and tasty grounds. Very good cup! I'd certainly return on my next trip home to SA. read more

In the couple of times I have been here I am just super pleased overall with service, ambiance, and the selection of coffee, teas, and even artisan/local gifts they have here. This spot is the best spot for not just people who want to chill out, study, meet up with friends or family, but it's the best environment and greenhouse for all of the super cool and amazing plants that live here inside this coffeeshop. You can tell the plants love it here too because they are THRIVING!!! The furniture (tables, chairs, side tables) are all modern and cute. I saw a couple of mustard color large seats for you to plop on and cozy up with a hot or iced coffee and a book. This place is just super charming! Just go! Definitely a coffee shop to go to ! It's like a green house coffee shop. It's honestly dreamy as soon as you walk in. Their matcha with vanilla is my go to here. It's always so good but their vanilla latte is my second go to. It's usually ALWAYS busy since it's next to Incarnate University, there's always young adults studying or doing homework. It's a little small inside but there's outside seating and people come and go. Definitely picture worth it !! They always decorate for the holidays and their staff is so sweet! I got an iced vanilla latte and my brother got a matcha latte (which comes with vanilla by default). We both liked our drinks. My latte was creamy with a good balance of vanilla. I asked for light ice but I don't think they did light ice. My brother got light ice on his matcha and it was light ice. The matcha wasn't weak and the vanilla didn't overpower the drink, although there could have been more vanilla. The ambiance is so nice. There's some chill music and great natural light. The location is near Brackenridge Park, U of Incarnate Word, DoSeum, and Botanical Garden. There's seating inside and outside. Outside, there are umbrellas on the tables and lots of trees. The two gals working were friendly, helpful, and overall great. I enjoyed a hot tea with vanilla and honey--excellent. read more

The coffee is quite good but I think you're mainly here for the atmosphere. The menu is pretty standard. But the space itself is a greenhouse, which is really interesting but also maybe not the coziest spot during the summer in Texas. I would recommend this coffee spot because they do have good coffee. They also have merch for sale along with pastries and stickers. We were looking for somewhere to sit and work for a while but the seating is not designed for people to stay long. They do have a couch and 2 leather chairs but not ideal for the working person. The other chairs are made of uncomfortable metal or a wooden bench. The Nutella pastry I ordered , asked them to heat up, and it started off good! With every minute that passed the pastry became harder and harder until it was inedible. The atmosphere is bright and quiet on this day, as well as clean. read more

Dropped in for a late afternoon drink. While the location is hard to find on the back side, it is a very cute location. Lots of nooks to sit and study or talk including outside patio. We went for the Cortado.. small and strong... yay! Added a pumpkin space latte over ice. Coffee was the main character and not the flavor ... love that. Ask because they have seasonal flavors that are not on the menu. They also have pastries and snacks including keto options. I was pleasantly surprised to see Italian sodas on the menu. It was cozy but sleek, I loved all of the plants at the coffee bar, the menu wall was really cool, and the collage poster at the back of the shop definitely had stories to be told. The café as a whole was clean and quiet, and the kind barista was relatively quick with our order. We ordered a Blue Lagoon Smoothie and an Iced Matcha Latte with Hazelnut. The Blue Lagoon was a blend of blueberries, raspberries, and oranges, but it tasted more orangey than anything. I couldn't really taste the blueberries or raspberries all too well, but the sweetness of them prevented the drink from being too acidic in flavor from all of the orange. For the Matcha Latte, it was also difficult to clearly taste the flavors, let alone the matcha at all. It was on the more bitter side, but it was a smooth drink at the very least. While the establishment and service get 5 stars, the drinks only get 3. It's definitely one of those places where I wish the drinks lived up to the atmosphere so I'd be more inclined to visit again, but I'd honestly be alright skipping over another visit to this café.

Summer Moon Coffee is great and this location is no exception. They specialize in sweeter, calorically dense, caffeinated beverages, with their signature Moon Milk being a stand out and my usual go to. They offer varying levels of sweetness, so everyone has the opportunity to dial in the beverage to their liking. They offer all the traditional coffee house staples as well, but I haven't personally tried any of those and can't speak to their quality. Prices are comparable to other coffee chains in the area. Ambient noise level inside the cafe was low and would be a well suited location to get some work done or study, several patrons seemed to be doing so. They offer WiFi, and the Verizon 5G signal was very strong inside. This location is a part of the Tripoint complex, shared with the D.R. Semmes Family YMCA and Trinity Baptist Church. Definitely worth stopping by for your caffeine fix after a workout if you're already in the area, but probably not a location I would come to for just the coffee. Things worth knowing ahead of time: They offer a drive through in you're in a hurry or stopping by on your way to work. Their restrooms are located just outside of the cafe area and shared by the church they share the building with.

They asked me if I wanted my drinks for here or to-go and I said for here and they still served me in to-go cups, which I thought was weird. The cortado was not my favorite. It was bitter and acidic and the foam was looking a little yeasty. The mocha latte also had very little flavor to it, tasting like hot milk. I had difficulty finishing both drinks. Later I noticed they were using What's Brewing beans, and it made sense. I know many folks love WB? coffee beans, as it's a bit of a local darling, but more often than not I don't enjoy cortados made with their beans. Dirty dishes and cutlery sat on a couple of tables long after folks had left. I don't want to make assumptions, because there WAS a designated staff member for cleaning/wiping things down, but maybe those two evaded her. There's a sign on the wall that says, "I'm not for everyone," and boy are they right. They also stopped playing one of my favorite Radiohead songs (right in the middle of it!) to play Teenage Dream by Katy Perry. Now while I'm not deducting stars for THAT (because that's just downright petty), I can't help but feel unimpressed by my most recent visit. At least the cookie was delicious. Perhaps a third visit is in order. As they say, third time's a charm, right?

The meal is spent looking down and hoping my beloved or other guests don't see the schmear up to my nose. By the end, we are having to reconstruct our bagel, as it looks like roadkill on the table. It is not a user error, as we eat slowly and carefully. I even have friends who refuse to come back here because it was the messiest eating experience of their lives. It's so unbelievably messy. We have to rinse off in their bathroom before leaving. I have to take my rings off and put my hair up. It's a commitment, one we are not strong enough to make at this point. Delicious, but.... we must bid you farewell, Boss Bagel. Godspeed.

All the proteins were cooked perfectly. The real winner was the lemongrass Banh mi with once again perfectly proportioned ingredients. We also ordered the fresh spring roll, which never came but wasn't missed except that they did try to charge us for but did remove them. They definitely have some work to make this a comfortable dining experience but I wouldn't let it stop you from trying some phenomenal Vietnamese food.

Decided to come by and check out Press Coffee location on West Ave and Blanco Rd. Inside the store, there was some amazing art and liked how balanced everything looked inside. I paid for a large coffee and went to sit down to wait for my coffee. 5 minutes had passed and then 10 minutes passed and no coffee yet. Walked by the counter just in case it was there but it wasn't. I waited by the counter for another 5 minutes until staff saw me and they discussed something privately and then got my coffee ready to drink. Afterwards, as I was sitting down trying to relax but I just had an uneasy feeling like I was being stared at with needles so I decided to leave. Coffee is ok, I would give it a 6 out of 10 but just didn't feel welcomed there. read more

I've been to a couple spots, even the highest ranked places, but Press Coffee is most definitely by far one of the top favorite if not my favorite coffee spot in SA. The staffs are helpful, always greeting you with a smile and along with a friendly attitude. The ambience is great for quiet read or to study and they have a great inside and outside set up. I love going there every morning before class and enjoy a cup or two of either London fog or jasmin green tea latte! I am so sad that they recently just relocated, hence the 4 stars, since it was super close to my campus :( now I have to go elsewhere for my morning tea/coffee and studying until they're done with the relocation. read more
