Wanted to get their Authentic Chai. We almost got through the payment process, but then barista remembered the burners were out of stock. So, I got an iced chai latte instead. It's cozy inside. One wall has a mural; the other has succulents, and there is a shelf of some board games. Parking is street parking on Broadway. They have a "reserved space" according to one of the signs in the sidewalk. I left pretty content, and would come back again. Had some of the chai latte instead the car, and finished up the rest near the Japanese Garden.
Cozy little coffee shop with some great coffee! The first time I visited I tried the dirty chai and it was SO yummy! Second time going, I tried one of their fall specials (cookie butter latte) and that was equally as good. It's the perfect location outside of the pearl and has a good amount of seating indoors & outdoors. The staff are always so helpful and kind as well which makes the experience that much more enjoyable for the customer :)
Decided to tryout this place. There used to be a different coffee shop here years ago in our experience. Here was not that great. Now this is a new ownership with a new name and I can tell you it is way better than the previous place. I tried their lavender Matcha iced and it was delicious. I had them use whole milk and you could taste the hints of lavender and still get some Matcha flavor so it wasn't overpowering. The staff here is very friendly so with just that alone our experience here has been way better than it was with the previous ownership. The decor here is really nice very laid-back metro vibe. Really nice place to come have a cup kick back bring a book/laptop and chill.
This Indian fusion coffee/chai shop did not disappoint. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha, it was really delicious. The owner prepared it and he was very courteous and I highly recommend this place for your chai/coffee experience!
Love this place. It's quiet, comfortable, and the coffee is tasty. The owner gets the importance and benefit of a solid study space! I've been to so many places and they are either too loud, too cold, or not open late enough (super weird but a lot of coffee joints close at like 4-5 pm in SAT). They play chill music, have a comfy temp that doesn't make my body regulate between the extremes of hell, and this place closes at 8 pm. I super recommend this place! The owner is very friendly! Amaretti Coffee decor is black wooden chairs with standard wood tables. Cute signs with sayings. Leafy wall splash in one area and impressive San Antonio mural on another wall. Comfy seating on couches in corner. More luck. The order was a Masala Chai and two regular drip coffees. Drips were respectable and chai delicious. Good coffee menu selection and quick service. Prices match other coffee shops: Masala Chai $3.00, Drip $3.00-$4.00. Self Promise: come back and try other Chai.
My first impression was that they were not open ... no sign in the window, and the lights were down low. Tugged on the door and walked in. The shop looked disheveled.. items unorganized on counters, cleaning supplies out on the floor, and I could go on. They do have a very cool painting of downtown on the wall. So what .. I came for coffee. The staff member did not acknowledge me, stood there, and was waiting for me to talk. It was obvious I saw no menu, but she offered no help. Ordered a regular cup of coffee and scone. Told her I was staying in. She still gave it to me in to go containers. The coffee was still brewing, though I am not sure why. They had been open for 20 minutes and she had one customer. The coffee was nutty but a little on the burnt side. Overall, it's not a good experience.
I haven't been to this side of Broadway in a minute; the last time I was here Brown Coffee still inhabited this location. Since then, Amaretti Coffee took over and they seem to keep the vibe going. The shop was mostly empty the day I decided to visit, with a customer in the corner quietly working. Another came in, plugged in her laptop, and also started to work. One sole barista manned the shop. She was very sweet. I ordered two drinks: A cortado and a latte. Both had very photogenic latte art, so props for the barista's pouring skills! The drinks were smooth and not overly acidic or bitter. My favorite thing, though, was that they were playing episodes of Bob Ross's The Joy of Painting. Even though it was on mute, it still made the overall visit very lovely.
Love it here, their coffee is delicious and they have a cute shop to sit around and relax. I haven't had a coffee from here that wasn't good. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I'd definitely try this place at least once!
The place was nice and clean. Looks like a decent place to hangout. But the masala chai and the golden chai weren't up to the mark. They are charging to use a credit card which is insane. Is there a board showing we have to pay the credit card fees or did the employee ever tell us about it?
The barista was lovely! She was super upbeat and friendly. We came for the first time here to check it out and it's pouring rain outside. She warned us the floor might be slick so just a heads up if you when it's wet outside! The place was quiet and there was WiFi available. No food available but drinks are yummy! Loved the golden chai exactly what you'd expect from all the different flavor profiles and we got the coconut latte which was not very flavorful but we got the hint of coconut flavor. Overall great experience! read more
Beautiful Saturday morning and my one task was to choose a coffee spot which brought us here. Parked and grabbed a coffee at Amaretti prior to our planned walk at the Pearl. Absolutely lovely. The barista was informative on the history of how Amaretti came to be and V loved it. read more

Stumbled across this coffee shop. Cute vibes - the coffee and matcha were delicious! Almost everything is home made in terms of the matcha (they whisk it, not pre-made) and the cold foam is a special recipe as well/whipped. Staff is nice and helpful. I really enjoy good dark espresso roasts and cappuccino is my favorite style. I always start with that on my first visit anywhere. This is a nice little espresso bar with good service, plenty of seating and a pleasant urban ambiance with a few street-side parking spots for their customers only. But I am giving it only 3 stars because the espresso tastes harsh and burnt, very bitter even in a cappuccino. I had to add 2 packets of stevia to smooth it out and cover it up. The best places are able to finesse their espresso with such a smooth and pleasant flavor that no enhancement is needed. I think with some improvement in the espresso, this would be a place I would come back to when I am in this area. It would certainly be adequate if I lived in the residential structure that it is ensconced in. read more

Industrial chic Cafe with cold and sticky metal tables and seats without cushions. (My derriere needs a padded seat.) I had the dirty Chai, 5 stars. Wife had the golden milk with oat milk, 4 stars, the grainy turmeric texture might turn off some. The place wasn't offering soy milk. Friendly service, quick. Parking is tricky, scant street parking on Broadway, best to park around the corner and walk the last 400 ft. The bathroom was tidy, bravo. The toilet is midnight black, these people understand how coffee works, 5 stars. read more

Today I had my first ever Dirty Chai iced latte. I don't even like Chai Lattes which is why I'm giving this place 5 stars because I LOVED this drink. It was yummy. The perfect blend of sweet and coffee-flavored, the chai was not overpowering but it was just there the right amount. Even if you don't like. Chais I recommend trying this drink! It was super refreshing. The person who took my order was nice and he had my drink ready really fast. The place had a nice vibe, there were board games to play and free dog treats. A good place if you want to catch up with a friend. It was on the quiet side and very cozy. read more

This was a wonderful experience to engage with the caffeinated human fuel we call coffee. I interacted with the owner while I ordered my coffee. The conversation was of great quality and authentic. I can truly see he cares about how each beverage is crafted. The ambiance overflowed with productivity while students next to me were working on summer school course work. Amaretti always has a laid back vibe. read more

You start with limited parallel parking so be careful getting a spot. The menu is posted on the door so no need to stand at the counter to know what they have. Be Aware: Authentic chai is premade with whole milk! Comes unsweetened. so I opted to try a dirty chai with oak and chocolate pump. Little "cookies" looked cute/tasty so I grabbed a few as well to have as a snack with my coffee drink. Limited time gingerbread flavor available due to ordering error. I remember this place when it was brown, the central structure wasn't changed at all. I like the laptop station type waterfall feature to the bench seating though the benches themselves are Heavy and the short table in the corner needs a shorter bench to accompany it. Also table is textured solid metal painted surface bolted into wall and floor. Sturdy and immoveable. Small hand sanitizer pumps that look like soap dispensers for a bathroom are located near one window seating and near the bathroom. On to the consumable items review: the "cookies" are more like butter biscuits seen more in Europe than America. Enjoyable but not what most people would expect. Not Sweet At All. They work well with the drink but are very crumbly so eat over your plate to avoid a table full of crumbs. Side Note: I Hate Foam material items so be aware the edibles are served on a generic foam plate that is Not Recyclable. Boo. My chocolate dirty chai came foamed up ( my mistake for not mentioning I prefer no foam in my drink and with my food lol) but once I actually got to the liquid it was tasty and well balanced. I'm usually a sweeten up my drinks girl, especially my first of the day to get a sugar rush with my caffeine. I found with the chocolate I didn't need to add anything extra, it has a great sweet level that didn't override the chai flavor and accented the espresso to prevent any bitter aftertaste. I would most definitely make this my chai tea stop, and hopefully they make the option to have milk alternative available for the authentic version as well. Otherwise it's a very small space that is luckily absent of campers who like to hold Loud business meetings via computer in a public coffee shop. Leaving plenty of ear space to enjoy the music, today sounds like an easy listening techno variety with softer instrumentals. Room for Improvement: Cashier is not masked, but most of the customers who have come in after me are. No protective shield for register or anywhere in the seating areas. I also recommend table wipe downs more often as mine had undisturbed logo coasters with crumbs on and around the coaster directly opposite my chosen seat. Black and white floors show hair and dirt easily, a stick vacuum might be a good investment to do quick upkeep between waves of customers. Echo echo echo. Lots of hard surfaces for reverberations to bounce off of. Something to help dampen some sounds would be useful since a single speaker at moderate volume echos very heavily and makes multiple speakers a headache to listen to. Trash can and napkin area would be nice without having to go to register to ask. Maybe a board to state what's currently out of stock as I've heard 3 different people in the time I've been here all ask for Honey as a sweetener to be told it won't be in until tomorrow. read more

The prices at this coffee shop are very reasonable. I ordered a hazelnut latte and it was delicious. I definitely enjoyed the ambiance and the employees were very courteous and professional. I visited for their grand opening and things were a little rocky at first but once they found a rhythm things went much better. The owner was checking in with customers and addressing any concerns. My only recommendation would be to have a sugar station readily available so customers do not have to bother the employees. read more

Coffee: delicious. I enjoyed the dirty chai and had a chance to try their fresh chai and espresso. As an avid drinker of the basic chai latte at Starbucks, Amaretti did not disappoint. Love that they have so many spins on chai as well! Size: provided a Texas-sized-Small cup and I love it! With all these local coffee shops ripping you off I can appreciate that this shop provided a decent size for their prices. A small cup hit just the spot but if you need that extra kick for just a few cents more you can increase the size. Ambiance: very clean, inviting, and relaxing. I particularly enjoy the mural of San Antonio and the window overlooking the busy street of Broadway. Parking: I visited on a Tuesday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised that the coffee shop reserved a lane, in front of the shop, for customers to park. Knowing that it was near the Pearl I was nervous that I would have to pay for parking but luckily that was not the case! read more

I love chai tea... and this place probably has the most authentic cup in town. If you live downtown you know coffee shops offer chai tea but don't always nail it. In fact many use little baggies and expect you to pay premium. Amaretti is AUTHENTIC INDIAN CHAI. You literally see the moms and grandmas making the chai goodness behind the counter. I recommend you give this place a try if you're trying to explore what authentic chai tea tastes like! read more

My wife and I stopped in on our way to visit family. We like small local shops and this place did NOT disappoint. Not only was the cafe have a very cute and welcoming area, the service was also awesome! I got a strawberry mango smoothie and my wife got a dirty chai and both were DELICIOUS!!!!!! Plus they had banana nut donuts and that also me is worth 10 stars but yelp only lets me do 5. All and all a great place with great food and drink that my wife and I will definitely go to when we come back to visit family again. read more

Lavender iced latte and baked banana donut. Cool little coffee shop with a super-nice owner. The baked banana donut with strawberry frosting is a must try. Really enjoyed the latte and the lavender flavor wasn't overpowering. Looking forward to going back and trying some different drinks and seeing what's in the pastry case. read more
