Bakery Lorraine was the first place we spotted and decided it was perfect for a lighter lunch and coffee. Inside is adorable with tons of communal seating - we chose to sit out on the shaded patio tables outside. Lots of delicious pastries inside, we chose a lemon poppyseed cookie and a croissant. They also had muffins and delicious macaroons. I had the combo chicken salad sandwich with side salad and my friend chose the bacon and eggs. Both got an iced latte with oat milk. Took a long time for the food to come out but it was fresh and great when it did. Coffee was also good! I have tried this place two times now and unfortunately have not been impressed with the service either time. The first experience was during the morning, I visited just for a coffee and when I ordered I was rushed away so the cashier could attend to a regular behind me...not the best first impression. Today was my second, potentially final, time. I ordered a coffee from their window and when it was brought out to me the cashier slammed my coffee on the table, no greeting or even speaking to me and walked off. At first i didn't know he worked here. The coffee was fine though! Also-- NOT a big deal at all... But when ordering, I noticed that when I asked for a pupcup, the cashier ran it up for "free", then added an "extra" charge to my latte to pay for the pupcup (the cashier explained the charge as mentioned) no problem but something to note if you run into the same thing. read more

My experience is at the Bakery Lorraine locations at the Rim and at the DoSeum! I don't have pictures because my hands are full at both locations. One with my dogs, the other with my grandson. At the Rim, We sit outside and have the eggs, bacon, sourdough toast, potatoes. Everything is prepared just right. At both locations, I enjoy a decaf iced americano. A luxury to enjoy when you're tending to both fur and grandbabies. DoSeum food is satisfying for kids, so set your expectations for that. They do make a tasty grilled ham and cheese sandwich with a cup of fresh fruit. The menu isn't online but I was able to snap a picture from my table. Bakery Lorraine was highly recommended when I visited San Antonio, and it definitely lived up to the hype in terms of ambiance, both the interior and exterior. All of the bakery items looked so tempting, but I ended up trying three macarons. They were very good. The filling was more of a light cream, which I actually enjoyed more than a typical jammy filling. The Earl Grey flavor was my favorite! I also had their matcha latte, which was pretty much a standard matcha with agave. The only downside is that food items are a bit on the pricey side, and they're definitely best eaten fresh because the croissant can get hard. We went to the pearl for the farmers market and decided to walk in here to get a coffee. The restaurant was full of art pieces on of them I knew the artist since his been a big part of the community. Every-time we are in the area we stop in here. I usually get the grilled cheese with tomato soup and my little one gets the turkey pesto with chips. The sandwiches are great but sometimes the toast on the bread is too hard. The desserts are usually fantastic. Went here before hitting the farmer's market and it honestly surprised me how good it was! I got the breakfast plate with avocado as my choice of "meat" and it was amazing. Besides their amazing pastries, they also have a fabulous breakfast and lunch menu which is a must. Some of my favorite items from their menu are their avocado on toast, BLT sandwich and Cuban sandwich. If you are not that hungry, you can never go wrong with a box of their delicious macaron! Please note that this pertains to the airport location. I was so excited to see that there was a bakery Lorraine in the airport now - too bad it does not live up to expectations . I had an absolutely terrible experience at this location due to an employee named Ashley. From the very beginning, she had a massive attitude and was extraordinarily rude. When I asked for a sandwich from the display, she wouldn't even look at me and dismissively said she didn't have any. When I asked if the one in the case was fresh, she snapped, "I don't know." I finally ordered a ham and cheese croissant, and when it came out looking completely burnt, I politely mentioned that it looked really over-toasted. She immediately got defensive, saying "It was put in the oven," and then accused me of being the rude one! To make matters worse, she literally stormed out from behind the counter and yelled that she "wasn't gonna be taking this kind of crap" before walking off. The other staff members present were perfectly fine, but Ashley's toxic attitude and shocking lack of professionalism is a stain upon the positive image I had of this organization.
