    Pistachio latte to go
    Esme N.

First of all, this place is so unique. I love the vibe and decor. I ordered a pistachio latte to go. It was delicious! They must have used a housemade syrup because it was so deeply pistachio-flavored and did not taste like another other pistachio latte I've ever had. My only problem with it was that it wasn't hot enough, but next time I will just ask for it extra hot. My husband was happy they had several decaf options, too. Next time we go back, we will have to try the traditional Yemeni coffee and drink it there to enjoy the ambiance some more.

Pistachio latte & pistachio milk cake.

Met up with my best friend to catch up over coffee this morning. When we walked in, the interior looked and smelled immaculately clean and fresh with modern decor. I was extremely impressed with the pistachio latte and pistachio milk cake. The latte was creamy and the cake reminded me of a pistachio tres leches. It was loaded with pistachios, which I love. Employees were nice and took our order promptly. Great spot to work or study as it is located across from UT Health San Antonio. Plenty of convenient parking as well.

I've been meaning to try this coffee spot for a bit and found it by a happy accident today during lunch time. Nice place not super busy during the week. This used to be a restaurant before. It's very spacious and well maintained, very nice place. Service was great. The person who took my order was helpful in answering my questions. I tried the white mocha and person at register did say it's very sweet but he was able to make it less sweet. The coffee was delicious. It tasted like coffee not just flavored syrup with a hint of coffee like some places.

Qatra coffee is a neat to catch up with friends or work. The vibe is very modern and aesthetically pleasing. The drinks are a bit expensive but the quality is superb. I have tried the lavender matcha and the pistachio matcha, which is not on the menu but they are happy to make!!

Really cute coffee shop near uthscsa campus! Very clean and lots of spots to sit and study! Loved the music and the tea that I got was amazing- I would recommend getting extra sweetener! The drink did take a while to come out so I wouldn't recommend for a quick coffee run but great place to sit and enjoy! Staff was also very sweet and friendly

I had a meeting with a friend, who suggested checking out Qatra. Ambiance was inviting and spacious. What a great meeting spot! My friend had the Iced Pistachio Latte and I had the Iced Lavender Latte with oat milk. Both drinks were great. We saw some folks working from there, so a good spot to get work done.

    Pistachio latte (Too sweet)

Recommend: Maybe. A little expensive. Food: I ordered a carrot cake and Pistachio Latte. The carrot cake was moist and tasty. The Pistachio latte was extremely sweet for my liking and I couldn't drink it . Wish they had sweetness levels. I also couldn't have them remake it as I'd gotten it to go. Service: Fast. Ambiance: Beautiful place and spacious. Plenty of seating. Love that it's open late.

It is just so beautiful here. Everything feels curated and carefully thought out, even the clientele just felt elevated. I love the wall with the cut outs filled with decorations. It's quiet, very open and clean. Staff was happy and helpful. The pastries are bright and colorful and yummy! Coffee is fresh and strong. Lots of familiar favorites and some Yemeni teas! It was a great cozy spot for my book club monthly meeting. Lots of folks were getting work done with the free WiFi. Come in to get acquainted with your next favorite coffee shop

Very flavorful Yemeni coffee located in the medical center. Both the coffee and pistachio shine through in the pistachio latte. Very unique flavors with notes of spice in the back. They offer a variety of types of coffee. From pour overs to coffee pots. They are one of few coffee shops open late till 12 A.M.With treats such as gelato and a variety of milk cakes.

What a treat! This neighborhood gem was hopping when we stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. The cafe is bright, open and - in spite of the crowd - very tidy. This was my first experience with Yemeni coffee. The team was incredibly friendly and patient helping me navigate the options while avoiding cinnamon (I have an allergy). I opted for the Oreo Milk Cake with a hot double espresso. Chef's kiss! The cake had a subtle sweetness and the crumb was perfect. The espresso was noticeably different from the Latin American espresso beans I'm used to. The nose was earthy with hints of mushroom, and the taste was tangy with a mild bitterness in the finish. Perfectly pulled shot... I highly recommend Qatra and team... cheers!

Yemen culture based coffee shop. The inside was beautiful! Lots of seating, beautiful decor and artwork. They have coffee, teas and pastries. I tried the Yemeni iced latte minus the honey. So delicious! Staff members were friendly. My only concern during my visit was that a customer felt the need to have a full on zoom meeting during her visit that you could hear throughout the whole coffee shop. I feel they could have told her to put head phones on or something to accommodate the other customers. But I also understand that's out of their control. Glad we paid them a visit and we'll be returning to try more items on their menu.

My sister and I stopped by Merit so I can try and rate the cortado for my silly little cortado review series. I also ordered the Purple Haze Latte and a poptart (courtesy of Bakery Lorraine). The cortado was surprisingly good. I say surprisingly because normally Merit's coffee is too fruity (and a bit funky) for me, but this was bold and right and made my ears tingle. Nice and creamy, and not watery. A very top notch standard cortado. The purple haze tasted like relaxing on the beach. It even had little bits of dried ube on top, like a little purple sandy beach. I'm pretty glad Merit's making me re-think their beans. That cortado is something I still think about, even though it's been about a month since my visit.

Pandan is often described as the "vanilla of Southeast Asia" with a fragrant, mildly sweet taste, featuring strong notes of coconut, vanilla, and toasted almond. The coffee was smooth, and the staff worked well as a team. They were attentive and knowledgeable about both the menu and the restaurant's history. We learned that the restaurant is run by a chef duo and that their baker starts around 4 a.m. preparing the day's baked goods. We ordered the Yolkster and the Dirty South. The Yolkster showed solid technique. The hollandaise was glossy, properly emulsified and balanced between richness and acidity. The over-easy egg released a perfectly fluid yolk, while the scratch-made English muffin was nicely browned and crisp outside with a tender interior. The bacon was a little overdone for me, but the chicken sausage was a pleasant surprise with a nice balance of acid and salt. The Dirty South looks heavy when it arrives, but the dish comes together surprisingly well. The sausage gravy was one of the better versions I've had in a while. Good consistency, proper color, plenty of sausage and none of the raw or scorched flour taste that can ruin a gravy. The biscuit was dense but fully cooked with visible layers. The potatoes could have used more exterior crispness. The pico brought a welcome freshness and acidity that cut through the richness of the gravy, biscuit, egg and cheese. A little more would have helped maintain that balance throughout the dish. What impressed me most was the technique behind all that personality. Scratch-made breads, properly cooked eggs, a well-made hollandaise and carefully prepared sausage gravy show a kitchen paying attention to the fundamentals. I left curious about the rest of the menu. Next time, I'm trying the pancakes.

My last experience with this one on the other hand was very pleasant. The baristas were super friendly and swift with our order, the cafe itself was clean despite a decent sized crowd, and our order was pretty satisfying. We ordered a Matcha Moon Latte with Lavender, another Matcha Moon Latte with Hazelnut, a Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin, and a Mixed Berry Poptart. Our Matcha Moons were both pretty good; while the lavender was rather subtle and melded well with the moon milk, the hazelnut was in fact a little heavy in flavor. The Poptart was very sweet and yummy, though I admittedly didn't eat all of the crust, and the Muffin was an equal blend of chocolate and banana, rich and moist, and was absolutely delicious overall. If I'm ever in the mood for Summer Moon I will most definitely go out of my way to visit this location. This trip definitely changed my view of Summer Moon in its favor!

Summer Moon Coffee is great and this location is no exception. They specialize in sweeter, calorically dense, caffeinated beverages, with their signature Moon Milk being a stand out and my usual go to. They offer varying levels of sweetness, so everyone has the opportunity to dial in the beverage to their liking. They offer all the traditional coffee house staples as well, but I haven't personally tried any of those and can't speak to their quality. Prices are comparable to other coffee chains in the area. Ambient noise level inside the cafe was low and would be a well suited location to get some work done or study, several patrons seemed to be doing so. They offer WiFi, and the Verizon 5G signal was very strong inside. This location is a part of the Tripoint complex, shared with the D.R. Semmes Family YMCA and Trinity Baptist Church. Definitely worth stopping by for your caffeine fix after a workout if you're already in the area, but probably not a location I would come to for just the coffee. Things worth knowing ahead of time: They offer a drive through in you're in a hurry or stopping by on your way to work. Their restrooms are located just outside of the cafe area and shared by the church they share the building with.

I FINALLY made the trip in and it was a mixed bag. The interior of this place is super sleek and has two registers: one for coffee, the other for CBD products. The baristas were chill, there's ample room for study groups, and with the quiet atmosphere I think it'd be a great place to focus and get work done. I ordered the Honey Lavender Matcha with Almond Milk, and I can't say I was all that impressed. The matcha was muddied by the other flavors, but even those flavors were indiscernible. I ended up taking off the lid to inspect the drink and sure enough, you could tell by the color of the drink as well that there wasn't enough matcha. There was barely any Lavender flavor, and there was only a hint of Honey at best. Truly it tasted like warm almond milk with a subtle hint of a weird mix of muddled flavors. At least the sweetness of the Honey cut any potential bitterness and it wasn't too grassy? Even if this drink wasn't a hit, this place is too cool for me to just write off. I'd like to return to see about another menu item and hopefully stay for a while longer next time. For now, I'll give Archie's 3 Stars for the drink and 5 Stars for service and establishment.
