First of all, this place is so unique. I love the vibe and decor. I ordered a pistachio latte to go. It was delicious! They must have used a housemade syrup because it was so deeply pistachio-flavored and did not taste like another other pistachio latte I've ever had. My only problem with it was that it wasn't hot enough, but next time I will just ask for it extra hot. My husband was happy they had several decaf options, too. Next time we go back, we will have to try the traditional Yemeni coffee and drink it there to enjoy the ambiance some more.
Met up with my best friend to catch up over coffee this morning. When we walked in, the interior looked and smelled immaculately clean and fresh with modern decor. I was extremely impressed with the pistachio latte and pistachio milk cake. The latte was creamy and the cake reminded me of a pistachio tres leches. It was loaded with pistachios, which I love. Employees were nice and took our order promptly. Great spot to work or study as it is located across from UT Health San Antonio. Plenty of convenient parking as well.
Barista was patient and friendly I asked for sugar free options and I was impressed with her response I opted for a Lavender latte Prices are just and fair as soon as you walk in the aroma of the coffee beans draws your attention large space to sit and work or enjoy a sip of coffee and relax or indulge with friends Dessert options are mouth watering They serve Gelato and refreshers There is a drink for every taste bud
I've been meaning to try this coffee spot for a bit and found it by a happy accident today during lunch time. Nice place not super busy during the week. This used to be a restaurant before. It's very spacious and well maintained, very nice place. Service was great. The person who took my order was helpful in answering my questions. I tried the white mocha and person at register did say it's very sweet but he was able to make it less sweet. The coffee was delicious. It tasted like coffee not just flavored syrup with a hint of coffee like some places.
Qatra coffee is a neat to catch up with friends or work. The vibe is very modern and aesthetically pleasing. The drinks are a bit expensive but the quality is superb. I have tried the lavender matcha and the pistachio matcha, which is not on the menu but they are happy to make!!
Really cute coffee shop near uthscsa campus! Very clean and lots of spots to sit and study! Loved the music and the tea that I got was amazing- I would recommend getting extra sweetener! The drink did take a while to come out so I wouldn't recommend for a quick coffee run but great place to sit and enjoy! Staff was also very sweet and friendly
I had a meeting with a friend, who suggested checking out Qatra. Ambiance was inviting and spacious. What a great meeting spot! My friend had the Iced Pistachio Latte and I had the Iced Lavender Latte with oat milk. Both drinks were great. We saw some folks working from there, so a good spot to get work done.
Recommend: Maybe. A little expensive. Food: I ordered a carrot cake and Pistachio Latte. The carrot cake was moist and tasty. The Pistachio latte was extremely sweet for my liking and I couldn't drink it . Wish they had sweetness levels. I also couldn't have them remake it as I'd gotten it to go. Service: Fast. Ambiance: Beautiful place and spacious. Plenty of seating. Love that it's open late.
It is just so beautiful here. Everything feels curated and carefully thought out, even the clientele just felt elevated. I love the wall with the cut outs filled with decorations. It's quiet, very open and clean. Staff was happy and helpful. The pastries are bright and colorful and yummy! Coffee is fresh and strong. Lots of familiar favorites and some Yemeni teas! What a treat! This neighborhood gem was hopping when we stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. The cafe is bright, open and - in spite of the crowd - very tidy. This was my first experience with Yemeni coffee. The team was incredibly friendly and patient helping me navigate the options while avoiding cinnamon (I have an allergy). I opted for the Oreo Milk Cake with a hot double espresso. Chef's kiss! The cake had a subtle sweetness and the crumb was perfect. The espresso was noticeably different from the Latin American espresso beans I'm used to. The nose was earthy with hints of mushroom, and the taste was tangy with a mild bitterness in the finish. Perfectly pulled shot... I highly recommend Qatra and team... cheers!
Yemen culture based coffee shop. The inside was beautiful! Lots of seating, beautiful decor and artwork. They have coffee, teas and pastries. I tried the Yemeni iced latte minus the honey. So delicious! Staff members were friendly. My only concern during my visit was that a customer felt the need to have a full on zoom meeting during her visit that you could hear throughout the whole coffee shop. I feel they could have told her to put head phones on or something to accommodate the other customers. But I also understand that's out of their control. Glad we paid them a visit and we'll be returning to try more items on their menu.

LOVE IT....a Yemeni coffee shop!!! There are two Qatar locations in San Antonio and this one is in the medical center in the same building as Jimmy John's near Bakery Lorraine. There's plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Indoors is clean, spacious and airy with the redolence of great coffee. After absorbing the vibe, the barista, Tosh, greeted me with the kindest smile and reminder of my go-to drink, which surprised me as this was my first time patroning this location. Turns out, he remembered me from a coffee shop where he worked in the past! Side note: he's awesome! I ordered the Mofawar which I am OBSESSED! It's beyond smooth , with a rich, full-bodied flavor with the aromatic hint of crushed cardamom, which leaves a sweet treat at the bottom of the cup! I also tried the chai which also was tast and flavorful but nothing tops the Mofawar in my opinion. Service was pretty quick but keep in mind it may take longer for the specialty drinks due to the process which they are made. This is a great place to meet up, study (free WiFi) or just grab a specialty Yemeni drink and go! read more
My sister and I finally stopped by Qatra to try a Yemeni coffee shop in San Antonio, and I'm so glad we did! The inside is absolutely beautiful and has such a warm, inviting atmosphere. We had the pistachio latte, Lotus (Biscoff) cheesecake, and milk cake, and everything was absolutely delicious! The pistachio latte was so good, and the desserts were the perfect combination. We loved everything and will definitely be back to try more. The staff was also friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something a little different in San Antonio! read more
I visited Qatra for a latte and some timeblocking for finances and projections. The barista and staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and quick to answer my questions. The interior is understated yet elegant, with a spacious layout that creates a comfortable and refreshing atmosphere. Although my meeting was moved to another location shortly after I arrived, I enjoyed the environment and look forward to spending more time here on a future visit. I ordered a Hazelnut Oatmilk Latte with an extra shot, which was excellent. I also received a recommendation for the Shaken Espresso, and I'll be sure to try it next time. read more

This cute little coffee shop opened up recently and it took me a while to go check them out. I am glad I finally did. I like that you can get your typical coffee or tea, but they also have specialty teas and coffees. I had to try something new so I tried the adani chai. I had mine without sugar. My tea was a black tea with spices. I didn't need sugar. It was delicious. My friend got the pistachio latte. The pistachio latte was really good. Not as sweet as I expected it be, which is a plus. They have the most amazing baked goods. I had their rose milk cake. It reminded me of a Tres leches cake. My friend got the pistachio muffin and I loved it. I want to go back for more. They have inside and outside seating. There's plenty of seating inside, but most are two seater tables. They do have music on and it is a bit loud. If you plan to go study here, bring your noise canceling headphones. Parking is on site, but shared with the other businesses. On a Saturday at 12, it was very busy. This place stays open late. Most days till 11pm. read more
I got their yemeni latte and it was really good but also really sweet. I would get it less sweet next time. I also got their pistachio cheesecake which was not bad it was also very sweet. I liked what I got it was just a bit pricey. Its so cute inside and theres plenty of seating and natural lighting which makes it great for working or hanging out with friends. read more

I had the most wonderful experience here. The coffee shop is amazing. Beautiful atmosphere with kind people. The coffee if amazing it life changing. I am a coffee connoisseur and then Yemeni coffee was out is this world good. I have had many different coffees from different cultures. Ethiopian coffee ceremony, Turkish coffee, etc and this Yemen Coffee was the best. The place is decorated beautifully and enough space for people to meet up, study, or just enjoy a cup of coffee. They have pastries and friendly staff. Go check them out. read more

Qatra has been my new hyper-fixation ever since they've opened and I definitely recommend you give it a try if you are a coffee lover! Service is usually great, and the inside is very aesthetic. It is also a great place to study because they open pretty late so they get super busy during the school year. Qatra's pistachio syrup is so addicting that my favorite thing to get here is the Iced Pistachio Latte*. The only thing is a cup of coffee can be quite pricey which is to be expected for speciality coffee. I also noticed the drinks can be a bit inconsistent depending on who is working. read more
This is EXACTLY what we needed in SATX. Words cannot describe how vital QATRA is to those of us who have made it a life mission to not drink SBUX and "coffee" that is practically diabetes in a cup. Can it really get more authentic than Yemeni coffee & adeni chai? I mean, you'd definitely have to convince me. We came on Eid, I know L O L. Pleasantly surprised that it was still SO busy at 10 pm but really I should have known better. We ordered Adeni milk tea & pistachio latte, and it did take a few minutes before I was able to actually drink it -- fresh fresh & HOT HOT. We came just to relax, however I have found that this could easily be my next study spot or work place. There are plenty of chairs and tables, outside seating and the aesthetic is SO pleasing. QATRA seems to have done its DUE DILIGENCE in making this an exceptional place. *slow clap* I'm a sucker for sweets but I had enough that day, but next time for sure! read more
This a true to life hidden gem. My best friend put me onto Qatra and I'm glad he did. The interior decor is definitely luxurious. It's beautiful inside this place. The customer service has always been excellent. The coffee at Qatra never disappoints. I had the pistachio latte the first time I was there and it was great. The biscoff dessert was super delicious. On my second visit I got the Oreo milk cake and it was very good. The brown sugar shaken espresso(16 oz) was very flavorful. Qatra is now my favorite place to get coffee when I want to treat myself to some specialty coffee and desserts. I very much recommend this place the next time you have a hankering for an amazing experience while drinking some awesome coffee. read more
The service was friendly and fast. The interior is pretty, lots of natural light and a calm, airy vibe. Seating is limited though. There are only two big tables and the rest are smaller ones for 2-3 people. I tried their rose milk cake ($6). The taste was okay but at this price point, it was kind of disappointing. It's similar to a tres leches cake but not as creamy or rich. The rose flavor was barely there and mostly just in the frosting. The cake itself felt like a regular sponge cake with red food coloring. I tried a few bites of my friend's cheesecake and pistachio muffin. The cheesecakes are on the sweet side. I liked the biscoff more than the pistachio one, more creamy. The pistachio muffin was moist. It reminded me of the wedding cake muffin at sprouts. I tried the honeycomb bread. It's almost like a focaccia but the toppings are cheese and honey. I'd come back for the vibes and maybe to try their specialty coffee. Side note, they stay open quite late! That's definitely a plus. read more

I feel like this building is cursed to have great spots that don't last long, and I hope Qatra breaks that curse and lasts a long time here, because they're pretty great. Boasting as San Antonio's first Yemeni coffee shop, Qatra Specialty Coffee offers a unique take on coffee and tea not found elsewhere in the city. The shop is blindingly white and pristine, spotlessly clean. It already has its fair share of squatters studying in corners, since it's perfectly nestled in the heart of the Med Center. In addition to your traditional menu (Cortado, latte, Americano, etc), I urge you to try the Yemeni Latte. It's a latte with cardamom and cinnamon. One sip, and you'll feel every bit as cozy and delightful. Baked goods in the pastry case are also pretty tantalizing, though I must admit the pistachio muffin looks and tastes straight from a Sprouts grocery store. The rest of the pastries look like nothing I've seen before, though, and I plan to go back to have a taste. Unlike other coffee shops, Qatra is open late. Very late. So night shift folks are definitely able to grab their cup before they start their "day," too. I have high hopes for Qatra. The menu looks eclectic enough to separate them from other shops in the area, and the vibes inside are nice. Until my next visit, I'll be dreaming about that Yemeni Latte. read more
I can't speak for the coffee because I got a refresher but I enjoyed this place. I got a pistachio latte for my friend and she said it was alright and has had better. I got a strawberry dragonfruit refresher and it tasted nice! A little too much syrup and not enough water for my personal taste though. The baristas were very friendly and the place looks beautiful from the inside! They had a selection of nice looking pastries and were quick. read more
This coffee shop has not only amazing coffee, but amazing baked goods as well. The Ambiance if the place feels like a museum as they maintain a Saudi vibe within the establishment. The service is as fast as it can be as the place is always packed with customers throughout the day. Definitely a gem to go and see for yourself. read more

I love love love love it here!!! First of all lots of parking so that's always a win for me. As soon you walk in it's so nice and clean the ambiance and aesthetic is so pretty. It's pretty big so I don't know why other reviews said something about the sitting because there's a lot. The cashier was nice but let's talk about the PASTRIES & drinks. Oh my god I did not have one thing I didn't like. The honeycomb was DELICIOUS the cheese with the honey sweet and salty. The Dubai chocolate I felt like had a hint of hazelnut. The drinks the food everything was just PERFECTION!! My new favorite coffee shop! It's so worth the drive. Definitely wanna go back this week again. Updated: I've gone 3 times since my last post. This place just gets better and better. EVERYTHING is good. The best is the spinach and feta pastry. Seriously if I lived closer I'll be here everyday. read more

Since Qatra has opened, I've probably visited at least twice a week. It's safe to say that I love it here! I love coming with friends and getting work done here. It's spacious and has lots of tables and seating arrangements for large groups and solo diners. Of their drinks, I've tried their Adeni Chai (my fave) and their Yemeni Latte (on the sweeter side). I've also had their Dubai chocolate cheesecake, biscoff cheesecake, and the spinach cheese pastry. Loved the biscoff cheesecake and spinach pastry but the Dubai chocolate cheesecake was a bit overwhelming for me. Service is also great. The staff is super helpful when it comes to recommendations. However, because they are so busy I often notice that the bathroom is often a mess and the floors throughout the coffee shop are dirty/sticky. I wish that they were cleaned more frequently. read more
We found this new cafe and we were happy to see that they had a fun menu with items that are influenced by Yemeni culture. The staff was so nice and helpful recommending items. I tried the famous Dubai chocolate for the first time! I also got a pistacho latte which was delicious, not too sweet. I also got to try the strawberry matcha which was just okay. Such an amazing and beautiful first Yemeni coffee shop in San Antonio! As soon as I walked in I was amazed everything is decorated so nicely and the vibe is super chill. I'm not sure if it's a good study spot, but it's definitely a great place to relax and enjoy some good coffee. I got the iced pistachio latte and it was sooo good. They rim the cup with some kind of pistachio butter that makes it sweet, but not too sweet. I also got an almond croissant and it was warm and the filling was delicious! Such a cute shop and something new for San Antonio. Definitely worth visiting! read more

This cafe absolutely exceeded my expectations! I stopped in looking for something different and found one of my new favorite drink. The Yemeni latte was truly outstanding--it was unique, intensely aromatic, and full of complex flavor layers that I've never experienced in a coffee drink before. If you're looking for a specialty coffee experience that goes far beyond the standard menu, this is the place to go. Highly, highly recommended. read more
New spot on the block that offers deliciousness and variety when it comes to pastries, teas, and coffees. I loved the vibe and customer service. Especially the spacious seating and aesthetics. I loved the Adeni chai and that they had a pot size available to share in the cutest cups and tray. My only recommendation // concern was the incessantly loud beepers. Super excited to have a new coffee spot on my way to work. I love the extended hours as sometimes I have funky hours and know this place will be open. At the Barista's recommendation, I got their Yemeni iced latte. They unfortunately didn't have fat free milk nor 2% but that wasn't a deal breaker. My order came out fast and looked amazing. The coffee shop is nice and bright, perfect for lounging, chatting, or working/studying. The latte was definitely different. Lots of spices and strong. I am not a huge fan of the cardamom as it does overpower everything else but it wasn't bad, just not my favorite. I will definitely be returning to try something else and perhaps a pastry as they all looked very good! read more
THE FIRST AND ONLY YEMENI COFFEE SHOP WITH LATE HOURS IN SATX San Antonio, I'm so happy to introduce y'all to the first ever Yemeni coffee shop in the city! Located in the medical center, this spot has only been soft-opened for 5 days, yet it's quickly becoming a fave amongst locals! It's no wonder why, especially with the beautiful space, delicious drinks, and mouthwatering pastries Last week I was honored to be the first person to open my fast at the one-of-a-kind Qatra before they opened their doors to the public. They have potato sambusa, spinach pastries, milk cakes, cheesecakes, and specialty drinks to make it an amazing Iftaar experience! Not to mention, it's open LATE! Decided to take come here to get some work done on a weekday. The place is gorgeous with an open atmosphere. I ordered the Yemeni black tea and had it sweetened with sugar free vanilla. It was good, but next time I would probably just sweeten it with sugar free sweetener because the vanilla took away from the taste of the tea. The service was okay, nothing spectacular but nothing horrible either. There were a good amount of individual tables available with many outlets nearby so it's a good place to study. Just keep in mind that the tables are quite small so it's hard to keep your laptop and drink on the same one. read more
