Stopped in on a Saturday morning (10:30 am) and it was THICK in there. Line almost to the door when I walked in lol I ordered the mango matcha with oatmilk and waited maybe 10 mins for it to be prepared, which isn't bad for the crowd. I've stopped by early bird so many times before and unfortunately I was turned away by the long line (since I was also on time constraints). Last weekend, I decided to wait in the line and it went by much faster than I thought it would. We ordered the iced cookie butter matcha with an almond croissant. This might've been one of the best almond croissants I've had too, it was flaky on the outside and soft, sweet. I'm for all things cookie butter and this one did NOT disappoint. It was a perfect balance of sweet with still that lovely matcha flavor. I went with a friend who doesn't like matcha and even he was enjoying it. The second time I went is when they were running a matcha promo that they announced on their instagram (definitely follow the there!) and so I went for my midday pickup and there was a small line of about 7 people. It went by pretty fast. We were intrigued by the horchata milk and the employee let us try a bit and we were convinced that was the one. We got the horchata matcha and the banana matcha with banana cream. I definitely loved both of them but if I had to pick a favorite, it would def be that banana matcha. Perfect balance of that real tasting banana flavor (I dislike any of the artificial fruit flavorings) with the well-balanced matcha. Oh my gosh, I'm obsessed with this spot! I just moved, and I was looking for a place to grab a coffee between a meeting and an appointment. I saw the reviews and decided to pop in, and was presently surprised by this little shopping center with plenty of parking! The inside of the shop is beautiful with great lighting, and there's a surprising amount of seating. There's also ample outdoor seating. This is easily the best coffee place in San Antonio. My wife and I always get our coffee here. The service is fast, so you don't have to wait too long. The shop has plenty of space; it gets crowded sometimes, but the customer flow is always continuously moving. I feel like we come here at least once or twice a week. This coffee shop is tucked away in a corner of Huebner Oaks shopping center. It gets busy. There have been several times where I've opted out because you can see how busy it is inside. I did make it on very early one morning and the vibe was peaceful and relaxing. I definitely got my Zen before merging into the morning traffic. I ordered a brown butter pumpkin latte (yes, I'm very late writing this, as this was a seasonal offering I believe) and a cortado. It was before 7 am and I needed the sustenance to go vote. The coffee was nothing short of amazing. The brown butter pumpkin was smooth, creamy, and full of warning spices. The cortado was well balanced and a perfect addition to cut the sweetness of the pumpkin drink. I also thought it was extremely thoughtful that, although my cortado, took a bit to make, the barrista advised that she was having trouble getting a good steam and brought it out once she got it right. And it was perfect. We tried coming in before heading out of town one day, but it was so busy and we were so short on time, we ended up stopping at a coffee cart that was set up down the street. It definitely didn't meet the mark that Early Bird set for me. I'll have to pop in again before my workday starts. read more

The line moved at a snails pace and then after we ordered we had to wait about 10 more minutes. I enjoyed the drink quite a bit, but I'd suggest going on a day off or when you aren't on a timed schedule, because we ended up being late to work. The tables were all taken with people camping out with computers, so there wasn't anywhere to sit and wait for our order. The person who took our order was incredibly nice and patient with the large crowd. The baristas were quiet and focused trying to get the drinks out as quickly as they could. The pricing is the only thing that might have me skipping this place for another coffee shop. You are looking at $9-10 for a single drink before the tip. The staff was incredibly friendly and helped me decide on the Iced Horchata Latte, one of their best-selling options. The staff member who helped me was very engaged in our conversation. He made sure to ask about any allergies and dietary restrictions and even offered me a sample of the Horchata to make sure I'd enjoy it. I'll be honest--at first, I thought this place looked a little too pretty to produce really good coffee. I was wrong. The coffee was excellent--fresh, smooth, and not bitter at all. The staff was pleasant and knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. One thing that really stood out was that they offered to steam my half-and-half to help keep the drink warm. In the order of what I find most important: Service - I always love asking about the local coffee, roasting methods, etc. the gentleman behind the counter not only eagerly explained but allowed me to sample their drip. I'm a society where service seems to be the first to go, EBC seems to be doing it right. Drink - The drip had great flavor and temperature was good. I will probably go back for a different drink and update after that. Along with service, alternate drink options were offered based on my interests which is always welcomed. I was recommended this place by a friend and I was happily surprised by how wonderful the experience was. The store is tucked away in a shopping plaza but the store has outdoor seating and a beautiful interior. I specifically came for the strawberry matcha and the owner working the register was so helpful and suggested their horchata milk to add in the drink and even gave us a sample. The sample was delicious and definitely made the drink even better. The drinks came out quickly maybe about 4-5 minutes. And they were delicious and aesthetic. I also had a berry danish that they warmed up for me, and it came out shortly after the drinks. The staff is so helpful and nice. My friend chatted with the baristas while we enjoyed our drinks. The store was very calm when we went, mostly people with drinks doing work in the store and it seems like a great community they have cultivated at the shop. If I had any criticism it would be I wish they had options for larger drink sizes because, I would gladly order a larger drink. I've been here 3 times already and I think the golden opportunity is to come during the 7am hour. I've had probably 1-2 people in front of me each time, whereas I've heard the line can get extremely long and around the corner during other hours of the morning. Because they make all their drinks to order, and they spend time with each drink, you can expect to wait a little longer for your drink to be made. I don't mind because that just means it's curated to your liking. If you don't like how your drink is made, they can remake it for you, but do you really wanna be that person? I also appreciate that all their syrups are made in house, so you don't get that synthetic fake taste with their drink like at other places. I got the seasonal fig Matcha. It automatically comes with oat milk. So if you don't want oat milk, you have to let them know. My total after tax was $9.74. I think this is pretty expensive, reminds me of California or New York pricing! Their normal matcha is $7/8, but because this has a special syrup and milk substitution, it's even more expensive. The matcha was good, not too milky. It wasn't the best that I tried though. And it definitely wasn't worth $10. When I was there, their AC was broken. The store was quite busy on a Saturday morning. The line was nearly out the door. There are a few small tables for two and a few large tables. I could taste the fig syrup, and I like the dried fig that they added on top.
